Well, happy Thursday.

It's not over yet, but it's frustrating to see Senate conservatives' Obamacare defunding attempt go exactly the way I predicted. I said don't do this because we know GOP House members don't want a shutdown -- they've been consistent about saying they don't for a month now. I said don't do this because the House will sooner or later (probably sooner) cave and give Obama a clean CR. I said don't do this because it could imperil the sequester cuts. I said don't do this because the GOP will lose leverage for the debt ceiling fight. I said don't do this because it will hurt the fight for an Obamacare delay. I said don't do this because it will make the GOP look stupid. I said don't do this because it could hurt our chances in 2014.

Well, conservative senators and outside groups made enough ruckus that the House decided to stage a little demonstration. The House GOP planned to give the Senate conservatives just what they asked for: a CR that zeroes out Obamacare funding.

And then -- before the House even had a chance to vote on the defunding resolution, before Senate conservatives even attempted to rally their colleagues -- Sen. Cruz decided to throw the House under the bus, declaring that the Senate will likely defeat any defunding resolution that the House passes.

House GOP members are rightly pissed. “Gee, thanks for the support,” Rep. Trey Radel, R-Fla., said Wednesday. They said they didn't want to do this. Sen. Cruz, who is apparently responsible for doing nothing except running his mouth, insisted they do it anyway while he sits on his hands in the Senate. And here we are.

And the House GOP is not alone in thinking a shutdown is a bad idea. Senate GOP members are also watching this with a bit of horror. Sen. Flake thinks an unpopular shutdown will help rescue Obamacare. Sens. Coburn and Toomey also oppose a shutdown.

To many Republicans, it always looked as though the defund campaign had less to do with attacking Obamacare than it did with attacking the Republicans who will inevitably need to vote to keep the government open—even if they achieved some modest victory on Obamacare.

It sure did. And it still does. House Republicans had said early in the week that they'd look for a "Plan B" for if the Senate refused to defund. In light of Cruz's preemptive collapse, a lot of members are going to look for that Plan B now.

Pretty sure the earth is going crack today.  Levin will be on Beck's radio show this morning.

If you don't listen to Levin or missed him last night, his opening monologue re Obamacare was a masterpiece.  Even the most jaded Obama voter would be convinced to abandon the monstrosity.  Hopefully, the Right Scoop will post it today.  I kept imagining him addressing all the members of Congress and the progtards and RINOs squirming in their seats.

19 Why are we acting like this is a disaster when this is how we all knew it would go?  Isn't the real issue the spinelessness of the senate "conservatives" to stand on principle and to force the democrats to take a difficult vote?

Better to try than to whimper like a simp.  The rest of this is spin and PR ground prep.  The GOP does a shit job arguing for itself because they are scared.  If you want to think that people like Cruz are the unstable outliers, then the reason they are getting attention is because they actually have the balls to go out and do something as opposed to the meek cavalcade of idiots who think they can negotiate their own survival with an enemy that hates them.

People wonder why we don't make any progress.  That's because we have acted like trying is in itself an affront to proper decorum.

Morning, ‘rons and ‘ronettes.  IÂ’m not getting sucked into GabeÂ’s tar baby.  Not now.  LetÂ’s go Hollywood. . .

IÂ’ve never been a fan of Bette Davis, even though sheÂ’s a local girl (born in Lowell, Massachusetts).  SheÂ’s always come across to me as a very cruel, unlikeable woman who, in her later years, deliberately set out to hobble the careers of any actress whom she saw as a threat to herself.*  But there are good stories about her and hereÂ’s one:

In August of 1955, Davis was shooting Storm Center, a film about a librarian accused of being a Communist.  Although set in New England, the film was shot in Santa Rosa, California; when Columbia set up shop, Davis received a number of letters from local womenÂ’s groups urging her to stop working on the movie, calling it subversive and anti-American.  Davis, however, was sympathetic to the movieÂ’s theme and refused to quit.

At one point, director Daniel Taradash was shooting a scene where a few children walk along a street.  Their beloved librarian has been has been fired for refusing to pull a book called The Communist Dream off the shelves, and the kids are discussing what communism is.  As the camera tracked past one house, a wild-haired elderly woman came running out and began screaming: “I told you motion-picture people I donÂ’t want you around!  Now you get the hell out of here or IÂ’ll call the police!”

An aghast Taradash turned to his A.D.  “DidnÂ’t you get permission from all these residents?” he asked, waving a hand to the row of houses.  “You should have given them fifty dollars apiece.”

“Fifty dollars!” the old woman shrieked.  “YouÂ’re out of your ever-loving mind!  Think that would buy me off?  YouÂ’re crazy, the whole lot of you!  IÂ’m calling the police right now!”

But just as Taradash and crew were about to leave, the old woman pulled off her wig and laughed.

It was Bette Davis, hugely amused at the way she had tricked all of them.

HereÂ’s a studio portrait of a blonde Davis:

Hope you all have a wonderful day.  IÂ’m off for a cup of tea and a meeting.  See you later on the dump.

23 Isn't Cruz just predicting that the CR will fail in the Senate? So? It will fail as is, Reid will strip out the defund portion of it, then it goes to conference, then the House Rs stand firm and everyone waits to see who will blink first.

Cruz is merely predicting the future. How is that caving?

Posted by: GnuBreed at September 19, 2013 03:21 AM (wNF3N)

24 Sure -- Malor said "don't do this because the Republicans will cave." But we all already knew that anyway. "Losing leverage" is a silly consequence -- the Republican *establishment* caves. We know that, so why they should need "leverage" which they do not use anyway because they're busy caving, I can't imagine. Further, I don't want an Obamacare "delay" -- I either want it stopped cold, or carrying on being the disaster that it is. A "delay" is neither of those things, so why seek it. The GOP *establishment* certainly looks stupid -- because it caves. And as far as "hurting our chances" -- yup, the GOP *establishment* chances will be hurt. Good. I personally cannot *wait* to have on the record the votes of the Republican House establishment caving -- so that we can primary them and vote them out. I don't think Malor recognizes what is happening. Conservatives will either 1) change the Republican party, or 2) have a new party. Those are the choices. I'm very satisfied with Cruz's leadership -- please continue Ted Cruz, and please run for President.

29 19 -

The simple answer to your question is that some people are concerned about the party alignment in Congress after the 2014 elections.  They worry that the things Republicans are doing now are going to make it difficult for them to hold onto their majority in the House.

The more complicated answer is, of course, they don't really have any conservative principles, so they tend to dislike conservatives when they stand up for conservatism.

35 Teh Gabe seems to have a wild hair up his butt about Cruz.

I suppose people can have different reactions to stories, but the insinuation that Cruz is somehow to blame to the Repubs' clusterfuck response to the Prophets of Choom is simple nonsense.

If you actually read what Cruz said, he doesn't seem to be "caving" as much as he is telling Boner to grow a pair for once, a sentiment with which I heartily agree.

I, for one, and heartily sick of all the "politics" bullshit. While the tempo of national collapse inexorably speeds up, the opposition to the traitor in the White House and his co-conspirators is made up of a bunch of fappers who are more concerned with "optics" than law or reality.

39 Rove is beside himself that the Repubs may actually stand for something. The Architect of 2006 misses all the reasons for the successes of 2010 (well he advised the glorified dog catcher Mike Castle; of course he did) and is still striving to make the GOP indistinguishable from the commiecrats.

40 Michele Bachmann, who has been very quiet of late, was giddy on Cavuto's show yesterday.  She knows the personalities and knows the interactions between the Hosue and Senate, so there must be a "there" there.  Even when Cavute reeled off the possible bad outcomes (like the senate stripping out Zerocare), she refused to be swayed.

Those Mormons can SING!! :^) God bless 'em. Every denominational tradition provides a variety of gifts in sharing the Gospel. That why I usually enjoy going to other churches when I have an opportunity to do so. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G42xwWoUS-0 God, "our helper he amidst the flood of mortal ills prevailing....God's truth abideth still, his kingdom is forever." Grace and peace be with you. (I will be taking a break from the hymns for several days because my schedule won't permit me to be on here in the early morning) if anyone ever wants to share what their favorite hymn is sometime when I'm on here, I will look for a link for it. I like to hear which hymns people enjoy.

43 The Republicans can't do anything in the Senate.  Even if they had 60 votes they couldn't do anything because the RINOs would form a Gang of X and undercut the conservatives.  This has always been up to the House and the leadership there has already announced they won't use their one card.  So, what was Boehner's point?  He already said that if the Senate killed the CR defunding O-Care he would pass a different one.

This is Boehner's fault......and people like Gabe.

Why, it's almost like we expect people in the one part of government where we actually have some power to use it. Like I said (and like Drew keeps pointing out) the delay crowd acts like their preferred outcome just happens without a fight but the defund crowd is all crazypants for even suggesting such a thing. In reality, both will require the House to fight hard, so why not go into it with the ideal outcome (defund) out front and with the one we'd settle for (delay) in your back pocket? Oh, and this is all playing out in public because our "leadership" sucks.

90 The best way to destroy Obamacare is to implement it good and hard - without any fixes or changes. Make Obamacare cause the maximum amount of pain possible and only allow full repeal as a solution. Throw people in jail for not paying the penalty, have businesses close down, have IPAB deny care. Youll get a popular revolt and repeal.

101 91 -

You don't really expect it to go like that, do you?

Here's a prediction, a little more bold than anything Gabe would ever try:

3  years from now, your premiums are double/triple what they are now, your access to care is significantly diminished.  Nobody is paying any fines because, how DARE you expect poor people to pay for their own healthcare!

Whatever profit there is to going into healthcare  as a career or business is gone, so you get government drones doing healthcare.

The economy putters along...

And the real kicker?

The Dem candidate is running on a platform of blaming YOUR Republican Party for making all this goodness happen.

Come back in September 2016, tell me  if  I'm wrong.

Anecdote time. My mother's friend's mother (in her mid 80s) slipped and fell. She was in some pain, they went to the doctor but the doctor found nothing. A week or so later they went back to the doctor because the pain did not subside; this time the doctor ran an X-ray and found that the woman had broken her collarbone and it hadn't set quite right. Rather than fix it the doctor immobilized it, gave her some pain medication, and sent her on her way. The daughter asked why they didn't fix the bone, the doctor answered, "Because Medicare said they wouldn't pay for it." And to compound the problem, the daughter asked if they could just pay out of their own pocket and the doctor couldn't do that either because if he did, Medicare would drop him.

So in a nutshell, the 80-something year old woman got a pain pill because at her age she wasn't worth the money and her doctor was prevented by the government from helping her.

I spent a few hours last night playing with iOS 7.  I rather like it, although at first I wasn't sure about the changes.  Visually it's quite different and some things are shifted around (like the list view in Calendar...it's no longer obvious but instead you have to click on "search" to see it...odd).

However, I'm digging the new Control Center and love how it can be accessed from the lock screen.  The "today" view in Notifications is similarly useful.  And overall things just look more clean.

OTOH the battery life on my iPhone 5 is taking a big hit and I'm trying to figure out why...I've disabled the background app refresh and things, but it's still noticeable.  I'm hoping there's just some bug somewhere in the OS.  The battery life on my 3rd gen iPad doesn't take a noticeable hit though.  However, iOS 7 does seem a bit clunky on the iPad.

It's an overdue evolution as far as I'm concerned.

134 People wonder why we don't make any progress. That's because we have acted like trying is in itself an affront to proper decorum. *** I'd argue the Republican leadership is only slightly less leftist then the Democrat one. They don't want to get rid of Obamacare or reduce the size and scope of government. If you presume that is the case, the otherwise inexplicable constant stream of failures makes sense. The Rs don't lose because they constantly find new and interesting ways to fail, but because they don't want to win in the sense of advancing conservative goals.

I do like the new folders, but think they're not well implemented: Too much dead screen, not enough icons per page, for instance. (They could have gotten it up to 12 per page, at least on my iPad.) 139 So the CR goes to conference, with at least half in good shape. In conference, we give a little, but keep the Obamacare cuts to the marketing funds (just a political slush fund), all the things Obama waived, a few other things, and re-instate the mandate onto Congressional staff. Win-win, right. A least half of the bill going into conference is decent, usually it's two wolves fighting over an unarmed sheep (us).

Past experience told me that the phone number was really a fund raising ploy. Cruz all but confirms that now, throwing any attempt to defund under the bus. Instead of defunding Obamacare, the Republicans, if they were any more than a bunch of cowardly, dick swallowing whores, would be preaching about the exemptions to the aberration called Obamacare for Congress and its staffs. Even the most die hard liberals (well, at least many of them) would have a difficult time swallowing that. But there is absolute SILENCE on the matter. 148 I've been very quiet for months, but lurking.

However, there is a very, very big point that Gabe is missing.

The current situation is:

1) Conservatives screaming "we hate Obamacare, defund it!"
2) Establishment GOP screaming "we hate Obamacare, we want it gone, but if we shut down government that is a disaster!"
3) Democrats stonewalling while even the media starts asking, "Why won't you even negotiate?"
4) The public watching while nothing can be done about legislation they hate.

This means that Obamacare is front and center in the minds of the public during a hugely public pissing contest.  And the average Joe asking, "What is so fucking hard about changing this law that no one likes?"

If we had gone down the Malor road, everything would have been really quiet, no one would have noticed and the GOP base would have just disengaged more.  Meanwhile average Joe just gripes about paying double for healthcare without knowing there is an alternative.

You can't fight for a cause, if no one even knows there IS a cause.

If you think our chances in 2014 are good without having a very public debate and standing for a principle, then you are an idiot.  Without this showdown, the best the GOP could have hoped for in 2014 would be status quo, which was the result of the LAST election.

Sure, the GOP is likely to lose this fight, both on defund and on the debt ceiling.  But if they don't fight, then they won't have any chance of winning in 2014.

One final point, on what planet are you living on where you think that "shutting down government" will be evaluated by the voters separately from "shutting down Obamacare"?  One goddamn data point from 1997 where "shutting down government" was being evaluated against some vague budgetary issue that the public didn't care about (and didn't lead to electoral losses in 199 ?  That is fucking stupid.

It boils down to courage and what you really want. The GOP and its minions pretend otherwise, but they are just folks overcome by fear and cynical ambition and delusion.

To me they exhibit the classic symptoms of the chronic bullying victim and they will continue to be the victim until they start fighting back, and not symbolic fights but outright confrontation. I think that's one of the reasons the conservative wing is pushing this so hard; if the GOP rolls on this issue on which they are so overwhelmingly aligned with public opinion, then they will roll on anything.

But then I see the HMO on my wifes plan now charging $20,000 a year for a family of four -- which to put in a very visual context is a stack of dollar bills SEVEN FEET HIGH. Every year, increasing in price. What male is going to take on the obligation/commitment to a wife and family facing that sort of financial challenge? Young men and women are hardly marrying, hardly having kids now.

My wife's school was (holds thumb and forefinger 1/64" apart) that close to closing. Schools in Philly and Chicago are closing in epic numbers. Kindergarten and first grade classes have gone from two or three per school to one classroom. Half full. But yet the teachers unions are mum.

Obama may claim he's doing stuff  'for the children' but it's actually the exact opposite. I want the adults to snatch the keys away from the children who are running this government. Now, before the damage is irreparable.

161 All those Republicans worried about getting blamed for shutting down the Government need to remember the first rule for incumbency: Base First! You piss off the base, everything goes awry. Your turnout models and advertising lists are devalued, your advertising like a challenger, you run the risk of a nasty primary - that might not unseat you, but will piss off an active segment of voters. In these off year elections, base turnout is critical. You might have an argument against a Government shutdown if your running for President, but not in a mid-term.

And, should that time come, they will keep on keeping on until the rest of us have knelt before Zod or are reduced to sun-bleached bones in the killing fields. The 1/2 of 1/3 of government has the power to defund Obamacare and thereby effectively kill it. Reid's senate can grab and hold all kinds of hostages to try to force the House GOP to cave. 170 So Boeher actually runs the country? The Speaker of the House, presuming he can keep a majority behind him, is the single most important individual in the government in terms of spending. With a simple House majority, which the Republicans have, you can defund almost anything you want. The system is set up to make the "don't fund it" position easier to implement politically then the "fund it" position as the former requires nothing to be done outside of the House, and the latter requires a majority vote in both houses and a presidential signature... Of course the simpler way to do this, which the Republicans have refused to do, is break up the spending bills and send them in the order you want them voted on. Don't say jack shit about Obamacare as you send bills to fund the VA or the DoD or what have you and let Obama/Reid shutdown the government or pass each budget individually. Then when it is time to craft a bill to fund Obamcare...don't.

Let the Senate or Obama shut it down.  Meanwhile, let the Senators go on record again. or not.  The delay plan is the one that completely sucks.  My feeling is make it all go ahead and let everyone enjoy the delightful fkking over they are going to get.

As for the entitlement that will be impossible to remove... Think of it as $10,000 subsidy off a $20,000 Mink bed throw (I actually saw this at Harrod's a couple of years ago) that no one in their right mind would pay more than $100 for.  That it not an entitlement with appeal.

172 It's pretty simple. Voters go into the booth and vote for the candidate who is most like them. If Republicans stand for Nothing, why vote for them? Posted by: Dr. Todd Ambrosius at September 19, 2013 04:35 AM (Jzrec)

179 So if I were the GOP, I'd get all GOP members of Congress on the same page as far as messaging. Pass the CR defunding Obamacare from the House, then have all media appearances repeat the same line, "we are trying to fully fund the federal government while also ending the unpopular, unworkable, and unaffordable Obamacare program. Even the president agrees this bill is not ready as he continuously delays implementation and gives waivers to politically connected allies. If the government gets shut down, it will be because the Senate donks and Obama refuse to accede to the public's demands to end this monstrosity." Just take the opportunities to get on message, hammer the donks, and tie this to them.

On the other hand, the House could pass it and sneer at their Senate colleagues and the conservative base in general. Remind them that they're stupid because we don't have 60 votes in the Senate, so it's dead and smart politics wouldn't even have this fight, but you made us so now you have to put up the fight alone while we sneer at you rubes. Oh by the way, when this fails in the Senate, we fully intend to cave on Obamacare, will probably end up giving the donks more than they even asked for, and it's all your fault stupid conservatives.

198 18-1, absolutely. Even the threat of doing detailed appropriations would scare the shit out of Washington. They should do it. My list of big changes: 1. End withholding, have the Ways and Means Chair offer transactional immunity to anyone who the IRS goes after for failure to submit quarterly 941 payments. 2. Change health care from a business to a personal deduction. Physician, first do no harm. 3. Quarterly, by Agency Appropriations - troop march the bastards 4. Slash the Federal Bench by 75% and reorganize by speciality instead of geography. I would wait until we had a Conservative President and Senate, then make them all re-confirm for the new jobs.

it will be because the Senate donks and Obama refuse to accede to the public's demands to end this monstrosity

Would probably also be good to remind the people that this law was never wanted in the first place, that it was shoved down their throats, that everything the critics said would happen has happened (layoffs, hours cut, dropped coverage, massive increases in premium cost), and that the worst is yet to come.

You know,

I suspect, given the age of identity politics that none of this matters.

Let's say we cave, 100%, give the democrats everything, including repealing sequester cuts. (Yes repeal).

Obama will still find a way to fuck over the "budget" (which is really just a CR) furlough some people and claim "see government needs more money."

So we hold the line, win everything, government shuts down, etc. etc.

Obama starts screaming "see government needs more money."

Jockeying the sequester into some mega disaster didn't work for them last time, so they seem entirely intent on ensuring it works this time even if there is no more sequester.

What we win or don't win in irrelevant.  Bambi isn't playing for keeps, or even to win the political battle.  He's playing (as he often is) to be entirely correct (even if that's bad for the country on the balance.)  So he said "sequester will be a disaster" and so he'll make it so, even if it doesn't have to be.

Same type thing for ObamaCare, same type thing everywhere.  We (and by We I mean "the idiot LIVs") elected a madman to president and now the pain ratchets up a notch.

Betty Grable and Betty Hutton tended to  play  the same roles - spunky heroine with a heart of gold - but whereas Grable was fun off and on-set, Hutton was an angry, jealous prima donna.  Harlow was so beloved that everyone from her co-stars to the crews on her film called her simply "The Baby."  And I've never heard nor read a bad word about Hepburn.

If you ever have the chance, watch Garson's Julia Misbehaves.  It's the kind of movie she liked to make, but didn't get to do often.

Betty Grable, for one. I love her in Sweet Rosie O'Grady. Jean Harlow in Bombshell. Audrey Hepburn, of course. Greer Garson, though she's more famous for playing glamorous ladies, which was what Louis B. Mayer wanted. All of them were loved by the public and their co-stars.

274 We can beat the shredded remnant of this horse into its component molecules if we want but we're not going to defund Obamacare. The only way to defund it completely is to repeal it and that isn't happening. They won when they intimidated CJ Roberts into changing his original opinion. Sorry to be a pill but I'm tired and angry and heartsick and can't take any more wishcasting.

And its very bright.

And the "find on page" is screwy.

There's a handy new feature where you can sweep up from the bottom of the pad and a little control panel appears.  (Before you pressed a button and swept from the side. )

This control panel lets you raise volume, adj ust brightness, that sort of thing.

It's stupid though,  because sweeping up the control panel dims the screen in the background.

Go to adjust the brightness slider,  and you see the problem.  Brightening becomes a guessing game,  It's not WYSIWYG,  because you have to interpolate based on brightening of a dimmed screen.

You know funny story.

When we were buying our house, the wife fell in love with it, and even though our first offer was rejected more or less out of hand (they countered at basically asking price again) we knew better than to start a bidding war.

So we walked away, but my wife wanted to see it again, so there was an open house, and since the seller's agent had never seen us, we went in and wrote fake names on the sign in sheet.

We also noticed the agent was frustrated at the seller (it was an estate sale, and the estate executive live in a different city and apparently was hard to work with) and that she had no clue what her market was (it's a big house, but also an older house, and not open concept, which really limited the market I suspect).

So anyway, seeing no other visitors since our last offer (which by now had been 2-3 weeks ago)  and knowing the house had been on the market for 6 months, we knew the seller was either a combination of bluster, and possibly some sort of excessive attachment to the house (be it emotion or money, I'll never know.)

So we offered again, and this time held the line. (We knew our original offer was an insane lowball, so we did come up some.)

They countered, actually right at what my wife and I were willing to pay.

So we countered lower.

They blinked, and we got the house for less than our maximum (and much less than they wanted for it.)

Now, if I had let my wife do 100% of the negotiating she'd have just caved right out of the gate, but because we held our ground we got basically everything we wanted except for the chimney re-tuck-pointed (because during concessions when we said "new roof or we walk again" they knew it was not a light threat.)

Gabe, you have bought into the Republican leadership political spin on why they will never do anything to actually reverse liberal policies.  Why, after controlling the House since 2010, have we continued to run record deficits?  It's because the Republican leadership in the House does not want to cut spending.  Why a single omnibus CR?  Why not a series of CR's that mirror the typical budget process...which hasn't been done since the first year of this Presidency?

I didn't leave you Gabe, you left me.

Successful enough I suppose.

I'd have liked to shave a few thousand more off the house, maybe fight a bit more for the tuckpointing.

But I weighted that against a happy wife and realized "meh, it's not that much to give up."

And it wasn't.  We got the house for 216k (with some closing cost refunds, because that's the new trick these days for agents to raise their commission).

I was shooting for 210k (Originally, prior to the first walk away).

In the grand scheme though, I'd say we got everything we wanted.  Including some roof repairs they didn't want to do, but I showed up and made friends with the roofer during install day and he agreed they *had* to be done (and put on the seller's bill) .

Re: The Republican Establishment:

"The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which."

The purpose of an opposition party is to oppose the governing party--not for the sake of contrarian, knee-jerk opposition but because there are (or should be) differences between the two, and those differences should be voiced and hashed out, one way or the other.  Personally, I strongly doubt Republicans will successfully repeal or roll back Obamacare, but they have to try. And if it comes to that, delaying tactics are a mistake. The majority of Americans voted for Obama's reelection. Okay, then let them feel the full effects of that decision good and hard, prior to the 2014 midterms. We'll all feel it, of course, but it would be difficult for Democrats to fix the blame on Republicans for its inevitable failure if all of them have fought against it every step of the way.

332 Winning formula for GOP (and Gabe) is the same as it always was: 1. Surrender -- and tell the base we're keeping our powder dry, because that NEXT issue is the one we're REALLY gonna crush 'em on. 2. Rinse -- you have to surrender too, asshole! What are you doing fighting on THIS hill? You're gonna ruin our chances on that next hill. Aren't you a patriot at all? Do you even want our side to win? 3. Repeat -- we only control 1/2 of 1/3 of the government. We can't stop anything, and if we try, we'll just lose our majority in the next election. Thanks, Gabe, for giving me my daily PISSED OFF MORNING MOOD. Without you I might need expensive meds to achieve that.
