— Gabriel Malor Happy Monday.
Recap the birth of a hashtag, #NoBloodForO, which is much cleverer than the signs those folks were carrying at yesterday's antiwar protest in Hollywood.
Clinton will make her first public remarks on Syria today from the White House. Boy, isn't that a gift (and I wonder what VP Biden thinks about it). Do you think Dems reluctant to line up behind lame-duck Obama for another war will be more willing to do so behind the presumptive 2016 nominee?
In case you missed it over the weekend, Obama's ambassador to the UN, Samantha Power (yes, that Samantha Power) announced late last week that she thought a UN report would cause Russia and Iran to abandon their support for Assad. Smart Power.
The fifth IPCC global warming report is being delayed because governments are complaining that it fails to address the recent decade-long "pause" in global warming.
In 2016 news, braying jackass Rep. Pete King says that he is indeed running for President, so you can kiss your dream of a clown-free GOP primary goodbye.

What bothers me is many of the other protests have professionally made signs, which makes me wonder who is backing this. I wouldn't put it past this administration to be funding protests, as weird as that would be.

Morning, ‘rons and ‘ronettes. Looks like I’m in before Vic today. So here's a story about Robert Parrish, a film editor who worked with the legendary director John Ford and who would later go on to be one of five directors involved in 1967s Casino Royale:
The year was 1947, and Parrish had just won an Academy Award for his editing of the movie Body and Soul. Ford's secretary called him up to invite him to lunch in Ford's office at the Selznick studio in Culver City. When Parrish arrived, he found the other guests were John Wayne, Merian Cooper (director of King Kong)* and director Robert Wise.
After lunch, Ford called Parrish aside. "Stick around. I've got some information I'd like to give you."
When the two were alone, Ford asked, "How's Kathie?" (Parrish's wife).
"Fine."
"Where are you living now?"
"On a fifty-foot lot in the valley."
Ford nodded. As Parrish recalled, for the next minute and a half, the director did nothing but light his pipe. Then he decided he wanted a cigar instead. So he picked around in the ashtray until he found a half-smoked butt to light. This took another minute and a half.
"I hear you won an Academy Award," Ford said at last.
"Yes, I did."
Ford lit the cigar butt. "I've won seven." As he puffed away, he went on, "There's a place downtown on Hill Street between Fifth and Sixth where, if you take your Oscar in and give them fifteen cents, they'll give you a cup of coffee."
A puzzled Parrish thought he got the point, but he couldnÂ’t think of anything other to say than, "Do you have the address?"
"No," Ford replied, "but I've got the Oscars, and they don't mean a thing. The only thing that's important is to keep working. And even that's only important when you're actually doing it. OK?"
"Yes," said Parrish. "That's OK."
"Congratulations," Ford finished. "Good luck."
"Thanks," Parrish replied. "The same to you."
Remembered Parrish, "I didn't have an occasion to talk to Ford again for twenty years."
Hope you all have a wonderful day.
*and, in an uncredited role, the pilot of the airplane that kills Kong. Cooper was a bomber pilot in both World Wars.

Even with the redistricting he'd have a tough reelection campaign.
They are telephone polling all over his district for Kathleen Rice, the Nassau County DA who the dems are trying to push, somewhere, anywhere. They wanted to put her in the Country Executive Race against Suozzi and Haber to ultimately challenge the republican incumbent, Ed Mangano, but the polls told them it was a lost cause. She's not popular with voters but King is less popular and he lost Merrick, a huge part of the support in his district, so they might decide to have Rice challenge him and she has a good chance of winning.

Because after Clinton was impeached, multiple Democrat Senators said that they knew Clinton had done the things he was charged with but that they would not vote to remove a Democrat from office. So unless you have 2/3 of the Senate Republicans plus another handful for the squishes who always vote with the Democrats and a few more because of The Maverick and his buttboy, impeachment would be a futile exercise. If there were 75 Republicans in the Senate, Obama would probably not behave the way he does.

They made Romney out to be a radical conservative. How is that for an outrageous lie?

Very true! My point was more rhetorical. I do remember reading all the stuff she won't eat now. I think she's presently on a no gluten eleventy!11 diet. She falls for every craze that Hollywood liberals get into, which reveals how weak minded they truly are. Follow the crowders, always thinking they're on the cutting edge of....something.

Likes NSA and Syria attack and is supposedly a Republican Stalwart, at least according to the Fox lightweights.

Legal Insurrection has a piece about Lizzie Warren possibly running for president. Guess Kirsten and Hillary are upset that she's upsetting their best laid plan.
Crispey is going to run. His media posse is fawning over him like they did Senator Obama but then again, someone has convinced Peter King he's ready for the national stage so it shows King is easily led. And then some media mouth mentioned Scott Brown as a contenda.
Does anyone really want to go through the circus we went through last time? Those erstwhile debates sealed the deal for BO's second term.

Welcome back, Gabe. It's too bad your last name is Malor, instead of Kotter, because we could do a TV series around you.
Thanks for the updates. You know you do a good job, everyone excepts a few yobs knows you do a good job, but in case you don't hear it enough: good job.
