U.S. Senate (special) -MA- 2013 Poll
— CAC

Former Senator Scott Brown leads an unnamed Democrat by 8 points and the only official Democratic contender,Ed Markey, by a whopping 53-31 in the upcoming special election per the latest MassInc poll. While the state is overwhelmingly Democratic, he has solid favorability ratings and is, with potentially stronger Democratic contenders turning down the chance, the current favorite in a special election which would be far less Democratic than the November result where he lost to Elizabeth Warren by 7 points. Besides the Virginia Governor's race, perhaps the only race really worth watching this year.

For full disclosure, MassInc's final poll gave Warren a 6-point edge, missing the final margin by a single point.

5 LISTEN UP YOU FUCKING MORANS!!!!!!

Can we please get a fucking consensus here, among us, that the commies are fucking crazy scared of TOM COTTON. The fucking National Journal is already issuing a "warning piece" that it would be premature for Cotton to jump to the Senate after just two years. Never mind how scoamf jumped from nothing to the presidency.

They are FUCKING TERRIFIED OF THIS GUY. FUCKING TERRIFIED.

Wake up!!!! These are the candidates we need to destroy them.

Marco Rubio-Tom Cotton 2016!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Otherwise, have a good weekend. Seriously, the guy has been sworn in for a fucking week and already they are freaking out about this guy.

Build a consensus amongst us, AND WE CANNOT BE STOPPED!!!! Article is called:

"How Control of the Senate Could Lie in One Freshman's Decision"

Notice how this seemingly "balanced" article seems to say it would be CRAZY or PRESUMPTOUS for Cotton to think about going for Senate, after all he just got elected....

hmmm, I can think of one name and one name alone that can tell the commies at the National Journal to go fuck themselves!!!!!!!!!!!

11 Speaking of Ma...and Feds "The idea to go after the Motel Caswell sprung from the Drug Enforcement Administration, the trial revealed. The DEA has an agent who testified his job is to seek out targets for forfeiture by watching television news and reading newspapers. When he finds a property where drug crimes occur he goes to the Registry of Deeds. Finding the Motel Caswell had no mortgage and was worth almost $1.5 million, the DEA teamed up with the Tewksbury Police, who were offered 80 percent of the taking, the agent testified." This shit is just wrong.

I would suggest everyone here read the WaPo article (I know, I know) as to how the NRA became the most effective civil rights organization in the country.

It all starts somewhere.  It all starts somehow.  But if all we do is sit here on this fucking blog doing nothing, moving nothing, ALL THAT DOES IS GUARANTEE THAT WE CAN SIGN THE PAGES OF IRRELEVANCY IN THE PAGES OF HISTORY.

What better time than now.  We need to get involved.  We need to get organized.  We need to do SOMETHING.  My question to you is, what should we do.  I am focusing on two things in the very very near future.

1)  court challenges to Second Amendment rights violations;

2) research on the failed GOTV operations, seriously, it ain't that fucking hard; and

3) getting local organizations going in every state the WE, and I mean you and I are in.  We need to arrive at a pair of candidates that we love so that THE MOTHERFUCKING BASE DRIVES THE DISCUSSION on who is ready to take on the challenge as the nominee in 2016.

I'm always amused that people think that those "idiots" in West Virginia would vote for Manchin, or voted for Robert Byrd all those years.

Byrd, for all his lying, dissembling and other faults, brought home the bacon (as corrupt as that was too).

Yet, Massachusets elects people like John Kerry, Ted Kennedy, Elizabeth Warren, and the like, and they are "smaht and sophisticated".

Like the point AmishDude made this afternoon, at some point you have to look at things objectively, and conclude that Massachusetts is full of delusional idiots.  Not just hyperbole, they really are idiots.

So what if they elect "Scott Brown", this guy will vote with the Republican caucus maybe 50% of the time.  The Democrat, or.... the Democrat.  I guess it would be marginally better than electing Markey Mark or Frank the Fink, but yeah, what a victory.

And then I look at my state, and we just re-elected Sherrod Brown, leftist imbecile.  I know why he was re-elected, but there is no comfort in seeing that repugnant douche back for six more years.

The DC Circuit has direct authority over the NLRB and should enjoin this if asked.  However, its mandate is stayed until cert. is granted or denied, and so the NLRB is within its authority to continue to act.

If cert. is denied, the NLRB can be enjoined by the courts.  If cert. is granted, then the Supremes shall have the final say.

82 On Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, they're about to make homemade granola and Guy mentions he grew up with that. The lady cook says, "Were your parents forward-thinking?" His response, "No, my parents were hippies." He liked the granola.

I'd actually like to see conservatives start saying that if government overreach keeps up at the current pace, those guns may be needed for the next civil war. And then just shut up.

It's the Muslim, liberal, union hint of potential violence. It always seems to work for them too.

86 Headed to the kitchen to make the last scotch and soda for the night, in a tall water glass.

Maybe the ONT will be up when I get back?

87 Estabishment Rs in general are kennedy democrats. In Mass, they're the pols who were too stupid or lazy to make it as Democrats, with very few exceptions. Ryan Fattman, Marty Lamb, there's a nurse from Peabody who would be a senator some day... There are very few. Most of the smart conservatives have been driven from the party, repeatedly.

89 Okay. So no ONT yet.

My son is in Mass.
My brother is in Mass.

I still don't give a rat's ass,
about Mass.

With all deference and courtesy to the resident Massholes, on AoSHQ.

90 Well nahh I do have to get up early in the morning anyway so I'll just stick to this one beer.

91 Jus' sayin', but who really gives a shit about poll results in a state that consistently elects space aliens? Nuke them from orbit. Repeat just for fun. Several times. No warning. (As if electing Fauxcahontas wasn't the clearest sign yet....)

93 I read some of the comments then the ONT was up. I live in MA and Ed Markey had been my congressman before I was old enough to vote for him, up until redistricting. Now it's Capuano, who is the one that said "sometimes things have to get bloody" a few years ago. They both suck. I heard Frank hates Markey because he feels Markey was influential in having Frank's district changed so he probably would not win again, that's why he retired. Someone wrote and it's very true that Brown won with Tea Party money and the entire country wanting a Republican in the former Kennedy Seat but Brown turned out to be more of a dem than republican. We do have conservatives here that were very upset when he voted the wrong way. Scott thought if he'd go on a local talk show and take the calls from people it was enough, it wasn't. We did not get what we expected when we elected him. He was a state senator, I believe the only one that voted for Romneycare. Most conservatives hate Romneycare. If we could poll the people that stayed home, how many think the author of Romneycare was the GOP nominee, considering how much we hate Obamacare.

94 Does Markey have a campaign site up?  Clearly, he needs to be kept on life support as long as possible.

97 Scott Brown is RINO swine.  Who gives a shit, he's no better than a Democrat.

Posted by: Andrew at January 25, 2013 06:50 PM (HS3dy)

98 It's straight out name recognition plus lack of absolute clarity as to who the Dem candidate will be. The Dems have a shi'ite load of money and other resources to equal or surpass what might -- stress MIGHT -- be spent by or on behalf of Brown. The Mass. Dem voters got their asses burned from Brown winning before, so they ain't getting blindsided this time. Anyone wanna make a gentlemen's, uh, moron's bet? Two issues: 1. Even money on Brown even running. 2. Better than even money that the Dem nominee wins. Please run Scotty Red Truck. Please.
