Uh-Oh
— Ace

A liberal Democratic Senator, Chris Murphy, attempted to claim on MSNBC that all the problems with Obamacare were fake problems, stoked up by a media out to get them.

Here's what the archliberal hostess said in return:

How ridiculous is the spectacle of the left claiming The Media is too hard on Democrats, progressivism, and Obama?

This is a real meme on the left -- Ed Schultz comically attempted it last night.

What else do they have, really? They own this disaster, every inch of it. There is no way out. So they'll just scream "It's the Media!" and "It's the Republicans!" and "It's the Insurance Companies!"

I forget who noted this, but note the Democrats are less and less attempting to claim Obamacare is a good law -- instead, they're implicitly confessing it is a disaster by claiming other people are responsible for it.

No one tries to shift responsibility with regard to a success.

69 A century later and nothing has changed ...

There is another class of coloured people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.

75 I just spent a little time on a liberal message board. It's just amazing. They just accept everything Obama says at face value. It's the Republicans fault for not wanting to fix the bill. Obamacare is a great thing. Obama has taken full responsibility for the problems and is now honorably trying to fix it, etc.

In fact, Obama has always taken responsibility for everything that has happened under his presidency, and he didn't lie about people being able to keep their plans.

It's breathtaking, and it's illuminating. These people are True Believers to the end.

"It is unclear how, as a practical matter, the changes proposed today by the president can be put into effect," Jim Donelon, president of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, said in a statement.

104 Former Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean questioned whether President Obama has the "legal authority" to carry out the Obamacare fix the White House outlined today:

“I wonder if he has the legal authority to do this, since this was a congressional bill that set this up,” said Dean of Obama's proposed fix.

The former Vermont governor suggested that since the Obamacare website isn't working, the president's signature legislation might fail.

To get the Democrats on the record with this.  Don't you want to force the representatives and senators to put on the record where they actually stand?  Don't you want to see what happens when Harry Reid refuses to allow it on the floor of the Senate?  I know I do.

Lets not blame Roberts for this.

Obviously, I disagree with his opinion on the tax question here, but his general position is, that if the Congress passes crap laws its not up to him or the SCOTUS to stop them.  The law was passed and if it sucks it can be unpassed.

Frankly, at this point, I think it will be revoked, its just a question of time and how much damage happens to the private insurance market before it does.

If the Republicans keep the house (which is almost assured) and win the Senate (which is, at least possible), then Obama is going to be in a VERY uncomfortable position having to veto their repeal bill.   In fact, assuming things continue to go as badly as they seem they will, it may even be possible for the Senate to flip over a Presidential veto.

When not even the faithful water carriers in the liberal media want to be tarred with that particular brush.

Of course, an honest accounting of the matter would involve how the media deliberately glossed over any realistic discussion of problems with Obamacare at the time it mattered, which was in the run-up to it being enacted. The media are NOT going to want to have that particular closet opened up and aired out. The stench inside is overwhelming.

188 "I'd just like to remind John Roberts he could have prevented this disaster, had he done his job"

What Roberts was intent on was not doing his job. He was intent on preventing having his small children taken away.

They're adopted. Both are from Irish mothers. Irish law prohibits adoption to other than Irish citizens. Roberts arranged for the mothers to travel abroad to deliver. A blatant and highly questionable evasion of the law.

Obama's extremely meticulous oppo research crew found out about that and a quiet conversation was had with Roberts. After which, Roberts's already written opinion against Obamacare was abruptly ripped up and replaced. As simple and depressing as that.

Nothing will send him down the sewer faster than turning the New York to Washington DC crowd against him.

200 My God.  That video clip at Hot Air has the USA map divided into "Moving Forward" and "Not Moving Forward"?  Really?

I'm too nervous to watch the clip to find out what that means.

206 Posted by: HeatherRadish™ needs a beer at November 14, 2013 03:22 PM (/kI1Q) You could always amend it, Heather, when it's dark and their cars are parked outside. I do that at supermarkets sometimes such as when I see a sticker saying Obama 2012-I sometimes put a post it note under it saying, "Insurance chaos 2013" or "I love Obama" putting "Will you love having your insurance cancelled in 2014?" What could you put after "Signed, sealed, delivered"?- A total cluster**** of a law"

And Sen Murphy confirms what I said yesterday about the GOP thinking of offering help to fix ObamaCare - as soon as they touch it, the Dems will be claiming everything about it is the GOP's fault. The MSM will join in as a "nuetral" arbiter and push the meme that "both sides are guilty, can we just move one". The LIVs will slurp it all up and the Dems will suffer zero costs during the midterms. And once the threat passes over them, the Dems will be back to all their old tricks.

The ONLY reason they are in disarray now is because of fear and terror of being booted from office. Keep that pressure on them.
