So, there's an MSNBC hostess who believes that "Animal Farm" and "1984" are parables about the evil of plutocratic capitalism. That's not surprising.
The surprise is that her name is Krystall Ball and she's not a pole dancer. Her parents must be so disappointed.

Actors and actresses are barely educated fools, who manage to feed themselves by reading lines written by others and have no independent thought process. They used to be treated on the same level as prostitutes and vagrants, and I don't know why that has changed.
Clearly, tele-journalists belong in the same category.

Poppin' Fresh is almost surely a Republican. So are some of the weenies at NRO. Michelle Malkin is most likely a bigwig in the Michelle Malkin Party.
More interesting and instructive would be a breakdown of journos by "conservative" and "liberal" beliefs. Yes, most would probably consider themselves "liberal," given their propensity for sucking Choom Boy's toes.

This is one thing about some of these so-called conservative sites that I hate. They bow down to the warmies and agree that we do have climate change, just not as much as they are calling for.
The real data show that we have actually been cooling since 1998. The so-called stabilization they are currently pushing is only after they "adjust" the raw temperatures calling it "normalization". The entire AGW scam is a lie for two purposes, tax increases and government power, and that is what ALL Republicans and conservatives should be saying.

::: searches for wall to slam head into repeatedly :::
No, you big dummy, of COURSE it hasn't done that.
Because Obamacare is basically just a scaled up Romneycare. It's Romneycare on steroids. So looking at the Massachusetts experience is helpful.
The proponents of Romneycare claimed repeatedly (among other things) that it would "reduce inappropriate ER utilization". These were the wicked-smaht Ivy League types whose theories are infallible. Because Ivy League.
Then Romneycare actually went into effect, and hey presto, what was empirically observed in the real world, as opposed to in theory, was that inappropriate ER utilization in Massachusetts went _up_ rather than down.
Why anyone would expect anything different from Obamacare is left as an exercise for the reader. (Hint: abject stupidity and glaring ignorance.)

"Remember the promises you made in the attic."
Dayton used to be fiercely proud of the Mad River flood control project. Epic engineering. Cities moved.
One hundred years ago, Ohio was the most flood-prone place in the semi-civilized world. Columbus almost totally inundated in 1910, Dayton a couple of years later. Cincinnati flooded in 1936 and '37. All due to the uprecedented climate change of the time.
There were similar deluges in almost every city near water. We engineered solutions for that, and then let it all go to shit while we frittered away the tax receipts on everything else. And now we have floods. Guess why.

That's why emergency rooms in Commiefornia are constantly stuffed to bursting with illegal aliens.
Because they have no intention of paying a penny, and the EMTALA law says that they have to be seen and treated at the ER regardless of willingness or ability to pay. So cost becomes effectively a non-issue for illegals, and they will take their ninos to the ER over the smallest sniffle or skinned knee.
Thanks gringos!

40: "Irish Democracy."
I've been wondering about this at the state level. If the administration can can ignore any law it damn well chooses to, what's to stop the various states from doing the same?
If it would take a united congress to withold the fed bribery cheese, why shouldn't the states tell the preezy to go pound sand?
If the courts rule that a state can't enforce laws against illegals, then to quite Jackson... "They have made their ruling. Now let them enforce it."

I smell another Crist or Specter turncoat act in the offing here.
The Huntsman family and the Romney family have been engaged in a quiet but intense competition to put forth the first Mormon president.
When the Mittbot 3000 shorted out last cycle, that would seem to have Huntsman in the catbird seat, but he ran too far to the left trying to distinguish himself from the rest of the Republican pack. He won't be able to carry off standing on a GOP ticket.
Ah, but as a "moderate" who steps across the aisle? He could fit right in as, say, the VP on a Hillary Clinton ticket. Nothing that says the first Mormon to reach the White House has to do it as a Republican. And Hillary's health ain't great.

Also:
Immigrant advocates have been the strongest voices promoting the new licenses, but some of those same advocates have warned about unintended consequences, worrying the new licenses could function as scarlet letters loudly declaring a driverÂ’s immigration status.
To alleviate those worries, Assemblyman Luis Alejo, D-Watsonville, included language in the bill prohibiting authorities from using the licenses to discriminate against people. He has follow-up legislation this year guaranteeing that information immigrants use to apply for the new licenses remains confidential.
In a letter to Homeland Security, Senate President Darrell Steinberg, D-Sacramento underscored concerns that the new licenses could spur more deportations. “I also urge you to provide assurance that DHS will not seek or use information provided by driver’s license applicants for civil immigration enforcement purposes,” Steinberg wrote.

As to anthropogenic climate change, I do believe that humans are having a small impact on the average Earth temperature.
However, I do not think at all that this is necessarily bad, and I certainly do not think that it is in any way Catastrophic. Extra CO2 is causing the deserts to shrink and the world to green, and there are plenty of satellite photos to prove it. Life in general thrives better in warmer temperatures. Where do you find the greatest diversity of life -- above the arctic circle or in an equatorial tropical rain forest?
The world has certainly been many different temperatures in the past, all without the hand of Man involved. And now these supposed experts are trying to decree that the porridge temperature right now is just right, and it must not be allowed to change from that point. Which is why in 1970, the worry was of a new ice age and now a new hot age.
And just incidentally, drastic gubmint control is needed to effect these changes.

I have always admired the "separate and equal station" turn of phrase. Jefferson at his rhetorical best.
Unfortunately it has since been rendered radioactive by asshole segregationists having chosen "separate but equal" as a motto.
Any combination of the words "separate" and "equal" now pretty much guarantees accusations of it being racist dogwhistle talk.

Yes he does have that advantage but it seems like Gansler will go after him and since it is a D talking, we may actually hear about it in the news. As for Baltimore city residents, don't forget about PG county, it has a larger population...

Sorry I missed your previous comments. My son in law is from Delhi where I've been treated like a king, so I'm particularly interested in this. Plus my daughter shocked me by marrying somebody who hates the mooooslims at least as much as I do. How are the Repukes fucking this guy? One of the few things GWB did right was strengthen relations with India which, of course, the JEF and his apparatchiks have done their best to torpedo. This should be a no brainer, even for the party of stoopid.

Hoosier Socons collected a few scalps last night:
Indiana Social conservatives won several key Statehouse races in Tuesday's primary, ousting two incumbents and successfully defending others.
Two Republican House members — Kathy Heuer, Columbia City, and Rebecca Kubacki, Syracuse — were defeated by wide margins by Christopher Judy and Curt Nisly, respectively. The incumbents were targeted by social conservative groups after voting against a constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage.
At the same time, conservative groups helped Rep. Eric Turner, the marriage amendment's author, turn back a primary challenge amid an ethics controversy. The Cicero Republican defeated political newcomer Parvin Gillim, an opponent of the gay marriage ban and former president of the Sheridan Chamber of Commerce.

Still my favorite argument- "If global warming is man caused, why is it happening on Mars?"

Let's see, what is it that the Earth and Mars have in common....
Coal-fired power plants?
Gasoline-burning lawn mowers?
Flatulent cows?
SUVs?
Gee, I wonder what it could possibly be...

I can't think of another written work that is more clear about what it wanted to say.
The Left is very adept at taking documents with plain and explicit language (Constitution, Bible) and convincing us that they doesn't really mean what we think it means.
If seen long dissertations on the use of 'abomination' in the Bible and how it really just means something that's frowned upon but its not REALLY bad.

I'm referring to CO2 as plant food, not as a direct cause of warming -- It is the increased CO2 that is causing more plant life to grow. It's why greenhouses routinely add CO2 to their air to promote faster growth.
As to negative feedback from H2O vapor, sure, it's one of the biggest reasons why the models consistently fail to predict shit. We are at the very bare beginnings of understanding how the Earth's climate changes and why.

Repost from last thread;
The Republicans are fully part of the statist machine, support it and like it. They know their place - that is to work as they are, splitting the conservative vote and providing cover for the Democrats. And they are very happy with the power this gives them, which is significant mind you, and if it comes down to it they will fight like rabid wolves to keep that power.
It's a well oiled machine, all the parts are there for a reason and after all these years they have become very adept at what they do. This is why people like Cruz and Palin are so thoroughly hated by the media, because they pose a threat to the status quo; this by the way is the very government that the anti-federalists knew would come to pass.
But you all know that, if only more of we-the-people understood this things would be very different. Of course this is why the statist has built the public education system and the Hollywood media empire, of yea and the welfare state.
How can the conservative fight such a monstrosity? If only there was a New World one could escape to, I think by this point I would certainly give that a go.
