I still don't get why Limbaugh, Levin, and Hannity don't push this idea: Let's cash NBC out.

Kill the Affiliates, Too: The former Mayor of San Diego stole millions from ~~the city~~ a charitable foundation to feed her gambling addiction; NBC San Diego can't identify her party.

22 I don't watch anything on NBC, count me in! How will they know? I read that their viewership is the lowest in years. I have been watching things on demand instead of regular television. There are no commercials. If I wait too long, there is a ad for the NBC news show. HBO sucks too, but I cant' cancel it, I just don't watch anything on it. Cable companies have you by the you know what, if you cancel this, you'll lost TCM, etc. Why would any sane person put a sports package with TCM? It's to make us pay more.

There is a simple enough solution. Cancel EVERYTHING.

If every right leaning person in the USA did this simultaneously, the consequences would be pretty astounding. The weaker outfits like NBC would essentially cease to exist in short order. 62 Limbaugh and Levin avoid boycott talk for obvious reasons -- they are much more vulnerable to those tactics than NBC. Radio is entirely ad-supported. And only a small # of companies have to be targeted. Hannity has more leeway. But FoxNews execs no doubt feel vulnerable. Print, internet, and activists will have to lead any NBC boycott. Radio and FoxNews can report on it. That's how the Left does. Activists groups starts boycott -- then the "unbiased" media does reports about the "controversy". Keeps their hands clean.

Back when I was working for a litigation firm, part of my job duties involved making sure that everything was set for the attorney during the arguments at trial or hearings. This involved not only doing the argument prep work but also assisting at court in having documents to hand. I always always always made sure that there was water at the counsel table. 81 All NBC owned channels are blocked on my satellite box. For the record, that's: local NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, USA Network (Law & Order network), SyFy, Chiller, Cloo, E!, G4, Universal HD, Comcast Sports (this one hurts a little), Bravo, Oxygen, and The Weather Channel (the Global Warming channel). I should also be blocking the Golf Channel, but then my father-in-law won't baby-sit, so compromises must be made.

To really stick it to them, refrain from buying any DVDs/blu-rays from Universal Home Video (or seeing their films theatrically). Also, If you have Comcast, dump it for anything else.

here's the thing. Boycotts are hard to organize, and you need a lot of people to make it effective. It's like herding cats, but all the cats are deaf and every one of them hates you.

What if we don't boycott? What if we FLOOD them? I don't mean a literal flood; I just mean what if we deluge them with paper. With complaints, with suggestions, with diatribes, with questions, with demands, with absolutely EVERYTHING. Your show started a little late? Diatribe. The dishwashing liquid you bought after seeing an ad on their network didn't work? Diatribe. Put their names on junk mail lists. Sign them up for online contests. Harass them constantly, but never violently. Send them boxes of junk mail. Take your identifying info off, dump it in a flat rate box and ship it out. Use their names and email addresses when filling out online surveys. And on and on and on.

All the little things that irritate the hell out of you? Ship them to NBC headquarters.

101 I am surprised they haven't rented out and entire hotel and offered a free stay to anyone that wanted to stay. Carnival is fucking dead. A good short. --- A few things on my mind- 1. The tow cable being used to bring the ship in has snapped, so those poor bastards are stuck for that much longer. 2. Carnival's ad campaign has some unfortunate timing, as one of their current commercials is for a family taking a cruise to keep from repeating last year's vacation-fail when getting stuck on an upside-down roller-coaster. 3. I'm wondering how long it will take for people to start doing mash-ups to that old Kathy Lee Gifford commercial for Carnival where she sings "If You Could See Me Now", showing the condition of the cruise ship

The lefties managed to get Glenn Beck pushed off of Fox by boycotting his advertisers. It took awhile, but they were eventually successful. So it can work.

The only reason we still have cable in my house is because my mother cannot wrap her brain around anything else. The only reason I keep the TiVo subscription going is because she can barely use that and is able to pick up where she left off when she fell asleep during the first broadcast. As it is, I've given up on using the TiVo for anything I want to see because she fills it up and never notices that it is erasing the oldest files as space is needed.

I've downloaded dozens of shows for her at her request and she has scarcely seen a single episode. The stack of DVDs I burned for her just gathers dust because the idea of TV she watches on her own schedule and not the network's is just not part of her universe.

I took a Carnival cruise a few years ago and it was really nice, but there have been too many cruise mishaps the last few years -- at least two of them involving Carnival ships having to limp into port like a plague ship -- for me to feel comfortable taking another cruise with ANY carrier for a LONG time.

If I were one of those poor souls on the ship I'd say, "Screw your voucher. I want the cash value times two."

117 Most shows are, literally, uploaded within 15 minutes of airing. You don't even have to use torrents which have a small chance of exposing you to liability for uploading. There's nothing illegal at all about downloading a show from a site like putlocker.
