— JohnE. I am just sick to death of these peaceful socialist and communist gatherings being highjacked by politically unaffiliated anarchists who have no political affiliation and no relation at all to the organized American political left. They also have no political affiliation whatsoever.
Thankfully, our media is quite competent at being able to immediately identify exactly which members of this organized group are doing the rock-throwing and window-smashing. As of yet, there has not been one socialist or communist crossing over into the violent group, which is a great relief. No one would want their important message tainted by such displays of violence. It is a unique and useful skill to be able to make these on-the-fly determinations of the makeup of groups when they turn violent and it's a good thing these people all have jobs in the media.
See if you have this skill. Is the person in the photo below an anarchist or a socialist?
Now, you would think that the hippy clothes, the shaggy hair and the fact that he's protesting on May Day would give him away as a extreme left socialist/communist. But, you'd be wrong. You have to examine the photo more carefully than that. Although not visible, the positioning of his arms suggests that he's wearing handcuffs. Socialists don't wear handcuffs. He is obviously an anarchist.
Interestingly, the media was already anticipating this infiltration and violence before the protests and was able to determine that the organized left was a victim having their voice "drowned out". Call me a cynic, but I tend to doubt the right-wing would be afforded this same luxury of preemptive blame-deflection.

If you're a legal immigrant, you have the same rights as everyone else. If you're an illegal alien, you have the right to go back to wherever you came from, at our expense. It's called "deportation."

That's pretty much it for immigrant and workers' rights, in my book.

Just the other day I saw an old Cary Grant movie where he played a young, devil-may-care anarchist falsly accused of blowing up a factory.
Of course, it was the white capitalist who actually blew up the factory, to collect the insurance.

Apparently the Democrats running Colorado have discovered a way to get around the Constitutionality of ID checks at the polling places: Get rid of the polling places entirely. It looks like they're going to successfully pass some legislation that will move voting to pure absentee ballots by 2016.

It sent a shiver down my spine.
The police marched into their homes, and along with a social worker, took their child. The mother never raised her voice and never got physical. When she asked what hospital they were taking the baby to, they said they weren't going to tell her because she wasn't acting "rationally".
Just HOW THE FUCK is one supposed to act when their child is literally snatched from their arms?

sort of related. On the local news in Houston they ran a story about a little girl, age 7, who was ritually circumcised in Africa at the request of her parents. She didn't stop bleeding and the butcher sewed her up, scarring her even worse, blocking urination, creating infections, an smell so bad the other kids would not play with her.
reporterette tried to make it a heart warming story, but littered the report with "its hard for us to understand" and "it not our culture" and "the poor mother had to leave her home and another small child back in Africa to come with her daughter to Houston".
The poor mother had her clitoris hacked off and maimed her. Prolly do it again with any other girl child

Choices aren't going to be easy to make anymore. The left deplores choice. As I said upthread, we've come to the point where we're going to HAVE to start discussing boundries that the state must not be allowed to cross. IMHO, we should have started discussing this in 2009/2010.

Different side to a similar story here in Houston. A CPS worker was at an apartment to transfer care to the grandmother while a further investigation was to take place. The low life combo punk / thug father choked the CPS worker out while his friend punched her and the mother egging them on. She managed to dial 911 before they snatched her phone and continued to beat on her. The cops did show up and arrested all three. Their mug shots is all you need to see.
