Rush?  The big, breaking "news story of a lifetime"  was going to air on Beck's show until they had some kind of screw up and Paul couldn't come on.  The story on The Blaze currently is that the WH is going to make available the documents saying why they can shoot down Americans overseas with a drone.  Hell, they've done that already and didn't seem to think it was any big deal.  This is supposed to be in conjunction with al-Brennan's confirmation vote, scheduled for later today.

Vic, if you do want to listen to anyone not airing in your area, go to I (heart) Radio and stream it.  You can listen to anyone, anywhere, any time.

What happened in America was not a revolution, it was a war of Independence.  In a revolution, those out of power, take power and become the new rulers.  In the US, the people in charge were pretty much the same people who were in charge prior to the War of Independence.

One thing about Mark that impresses me is that he provides his show, pretty much commercial free, on download. He could easily do the "premium membership" commercial free crap that Rush does, but he doesn't. He just wants to spread the word. That goes a long way in my book.

I do know that some of the founders initally cheered the revolution, (Jefferson mostly) but when news of the horrors started coming out thier view soured. Lafayette was even locked in the Bastille by the Jacobins despite aiding the revolutionaries because of his noble birth.

That's easy. It's communism with a little bit of Christian cologne sprinkled over that turd to hide the smell.

Btw, this is the same church that when we were looking for a daycare place mentioned that they had a bunch of HIV-positive kids, and they hoped that that wouldn't be a problem. Problem? I don't think Lafayette spent time in the Bastille. The timing would be wrong, after all - the revolutionaries seized the Bastille and then they razed it; they didn't use it themselves.  Lafayette was a big supporter of the Revolution at the beginning, and worked on their side.  He turned against it when it became anti-monarchist and the King and his family were arrested and imprisoned.  At the beginning, there was an attempt to turn the king into a constitutional monarch, like Britain had, to prevent power from becoming too concentrated in one place.  He fled France and turned himself over to the Austrians, who promptly imprisoned him.  They couldn't trust someone who'd been so active in the Revolution.  He eventually got out and lived a long life.

Oh, and it's true that the American revolutionaries were initially excited and supportive of the French Revolution, and began turning against it when it grew violent and bloody.  EXCEPT Jefferson - he became more enthusiastic the worse things got in France, as opposed to Washington, who quickly saw that things were going to hell there.  I've always thought Jefferson was a creep; he liked all the executions as the Terror got underway.

Margaret Sanger and 'minority birth control' and abortion were/are associated with Progressivism, but I'm not defending Progressivism or Margaret Sanger (or abortion or eugenics or any of that). I'm simply saying that Marxists call themselves 'progressives' because the word 'Marxism' creates all sorts of very unfriendly picture-images in our heads: killing fields, gulags, mass starvation, purges; hence, New Coke.

As an aside, the enactment of child labor laws was necessary and right, and so were workplace safety laws. My great-grandfather was pulled out of school and put to work in the coal mines (Kentucky) when he was 10 years old because little kids could go into tight places where adults couldn't. He later taught himself enough to be functionally literate and fairly good with numbers, and thought his factory job in Indiana was paradise on earth--which it was, by comparison.
