America is, I believe, treaty bound to defend Japan if China attacked it. We also have a mutual defense pact with Australia, right? Not sure who else. Just wondering if there are these things below a treaty that Presidents go around signing saying, yeah, sure, we'll help defend you -- but which have no real weight.
