We have to make them gun-free too! But what happens if the entire US is gun-free? (Won't happen, but go with it.) What do you do when the drug runners run guns? Leftard logic: Let's take this one step at a time. We'll worry about that later.

Both pertain to the ability of states to provide information about the mentally ill and those seeking mental health treatment to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System. 53 Posted by: Niedermeyer's Dead Horse at January 03, 2014 01:15 PM (DmNpO) I commented about this a while ago. I've been having to sign forms that I've never had to sign before just to see a doctor. There are the normal forms about "I will pay" but new language has been added saying "I will pay the chargemaster rate." Which is insanely coercive.

Posted by: Frumious Bandersnatch at January 03, 2014 09:26 AM (1xUj/)

55 Since we are "a country of laws"  after all, I would like to propose a couple of laws that would restrict politicians from using a couple of phrases that have been rendered meaningless by Washington over the past several years, namely:

-We are still a nation of laws.
-This is still the greatest country in the world.
-I'm here to do the people's business.

There are certainly more, but this is a good start.

The proposed penalty for using these phrases in the future should of course be death.

.

.

.Bet my next Navy Retirement check they are going to introduce wording about PTSD/TBI and Vets now flagging a NICS check leading to a denied result.  And the VA will have to mandatory report any psych issues to the Fed  without notifying the Vet.

102 So Kate Winslet is judging us for judging her for having a kid with each of her husbands. Also mad that people asked her if the latest kid's last name was going to be Rocknroll, since that's, get this, the father's last name. I guess if she's going to go popping out kids with a bunch of different men, it is easier to give them all her last name. She claims she can't be judged since she's a fcuking grown-up. Well duh, you have three kids with three different fathers.

One of my daughters works for a nearby minor league baseball team, where attendance has been down the last couple of years. The reason given is that companies, especially small businesses, that used to buy tickets in bulk over the season ---i.e., for parties, client entertainment, or to reward employees --- are strapped for cash and worried about increasing costs. I wonder if that is what's happening with these playoffs that aren't selling out. (???)

123 I wonder if that is what's happening with these playoffs that aren't selling out. (???) --- Possibly. However, the idea floated earlier today was that various teams required that playoff ticket orders be turned in by December 4 and that new NFL policy is that people who pay for the tickets but whose team doesn't get a home playoff game would have their money applied to next year's season tickets instead of having a refund option. Combine that with several of these teams falling ass-backward into the playoffs, like Philly and Green Bay, and you've got a tough sell to make.

I read recently about a dog a team killed while crossing through a neighbor's yard in the process of getting to the suspect's house. WTH? So in the course of a LEO's duties they can kill any dog they feel like? I've mentioned this before but a Seattle PD officer shot at a puppy who was freaking running away from her. The officer claimed the dog came at her, but the holes in the floor told a different story.

I don't think that's the case for football, there's so few games and tickets are much more expensive it's rarer for companies to purchase blocks of tickets for a football game (especially playoffs) than for baseball (where there are ample games for much lower cost per ticket).
