Are Animals Smart Enough to Photobomb? And Open Thread
— Ace

Via @doreenhdixon, a funny compilation of animals "photobombing" pictures of people or other animals, that is to say, poking their heads into the shot despite not being the intended subject of the photo.

I'm not taking the day off; I just need my daily slumpbuster to end my daily writers block. And these are pretty funny.

@rdbrewer4 sends another one that that compilation missed:

Second potential topic, how can anyone with an IQ above 70 disagree with the 9th Cir's decision yesterday.  The dissent is laughable.  It's "analysis" of the Nunn case is beyond infantile.  In Nunn, concealed carry could be banned because open carry was allowed.

The dissent's "reasoning" ended with concealed carry could be banned in Nunn, so CA's law is ok.  This is an APPELLATE LEVEL FEDERAL JUDGE.

As far as animals photobombing, I have no idea.

96 do animals photobomb intentionally? We lived in an older house back in the 80's, and had a very unique (and deviously intelligent) cat while we lived there. We never intentionally put her in pictures, but when we go back and look at pictures from the time we lived in that house, that cat found a way to get into EVERY one of them. You could be walking around the yard, stop to take a picture of the flowerbed, and looki there! That cat will be looking up from between the flowers at you. Wherever we went, there she was, just keeping tabs on what we were up to, I guess.

“I’ve been disappointed with how the reporting has characterized my conversation with the Dallas Morning News. What I tried to convey there was that it’s impossible for the Legislature to define artfully enough exceptions that will accommodate everyday situations that women are facing in that arena, and that it has to be left to a woman and her doctor,” Davis said Thursday.

She continued, “I would not advocate for a 20-week ban because I don’t believe that it can capture and respect and give due deference to decision-making that belongs between a woman and her doctor. And typically, of course, these abortions are occurring in tragic situations where women have not discovered that there’s a severe fetal abnormality, or that there is some risk to her own health, until her pregnancy is advanced to that stage.”

And typically, of course, these abortions are occurring in tragic situations where women have not discovered that there’s a severe fetal abnormality, or that there is some risk to her own health, until her pregnancy is advanced to that stage.” Posted by: WalrusRex at February 14, 2014 12:55 PM (XUKZU) English wept.

That Cadillac ad punking the French is funny as shit.

Lefties are, of course, disturbed by it. Or, by the fact that after whipping the ad industry into PC shape one of them went rogue.

They sneer at the “because we’re the only ones going back” to the moon line, since China just sent a vehicle up there. I respond that the line was clearly referring to return by humans.

They also note that Cadillac/GM got a government bailout. Not sure how to respond to that one. But great ad.

So, if someone dropped photobombs on you, or someone you loved, would it hurt?

Are photobombs made of steel or another hard metal, like aluminum?

If photobombs are funny, are they also funny hurtful things?

I think I was photobombed once; I'm not sure though. Maybe if I understood what photobombs were I could be more certain.

I'll hang up now and take my answer off the air.

i]agreed, writing a letter is very different than an email, getting a letter is a unique feeling.

One major change: There will be no more books that are a collection of letters by famous people. The WSJ must review one or two of these books every week. Those days are over.  Or, if someone manages to compile enough letters to put in book form, it will be a collection of letters consciously written for that purpose.

Or will collections of emails become a thing?
