— CAC 2016 is a loooooooooooooooooooooong way out.
I would say looooooooooooooooooooooooooong but that just looks silly.
Too many Os.
So lets go with loooooooooooooooooooooong.
But say we're there, in the middle of the Presidential primary.
A lot of candidates will talk big. They certainly will propose big things.
Some may even throw red meat to conservatives by promising to "strike back" against the liberals.
So ask yourselves this question:
Is there a single candidate who has actually decimated his enemies? We're not talking about simply out-raising them, or yelling at them publicly, or beating them in election. I mean destroying them by ripping a cancerous umbilical cord of revenue right off their gaping navel?
And had his actions upheld in court, cementing their effect?
And fought back a recall mounted by his enemies, beating them back by a wider margin than he had initially galloped into office with?
And, like a true modern day Robin Hood, is giving back the savings to the people who had unwillfully provided such a lifeline?
And does all this from behind the Blue Wall?
And has dreamy eyes?
Talk is cheap.

Actions matter.
Results, even more.
Especially when you can smile as you crush your enemies, see them driven before you,
and hear the lamentations of their women.

The Government Unions would be shitting bricks if Walker were the nominee.
Or Perry...since he already mentioned once that there should be term limits for govt. bureaucrats.
I could easily vote for Walker, though.

Indeed, it should be underscored that the left/media here is focused entirely on spending in the gubernatorial recall, when this election was just one of many the left attempted to turn into referenda on Gov. WalkerÂ’s public-sector collective bargaining reforms. If once considers the total amounts spent during the Days of Cheesehead Rage on state senate recall elections, Supreme Court elections and so on in 2011-12, the gap shrinks to roughly 1.5-to-1.
Lastly, these figures only account for sums legally required to be publicly reported (and assumes those sums are properly quantified). Rutgers University economist Leo Troy has estimated that actual union political spending is likely several times higher than generally reported. There is no reason to think otherwise in this case.

I would rather see Walker keep working over the union chumps and continue the process of dismantling the welfare state in Wisconsin. The states are where the action is going to be, better to have good guys like Walker show the way and inspire others.
My preference is for Perry because he has done about all he can do during his tenure and left TX in a good position. Sure he flamed-out during 2012 but I think he will be much better the next go-round. The GOP would be smart to nominate another governor with a proven track record. This time though, that person should be a real Reagan conservative, not a Massachusetts technocrat.
Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, and the other Young Lions of the GOP in the Senate need to stay there and do the good work that needs to be done. The Leftists won't go down without a mighty fight so we'll need top-quality FIGHTERS at all levels of government.
This one is far from over...

Walker is overrated: He corrected an outrageous and corrupt status quo through faily modest reforms and he stuck to it, yes. Thats commendable and he is a good Governor. But he also publicly vowed not to make Wisconsin a Right to Work state. So he is well to the left of quite a few GOP Governors on that subject. And then there is his position on immigration of course...
I think he will turn out to be the next Tim Pawlenty: all nice and shiny on paper and a disappoint live on the big stage.

>>Walker was then asked about the estimated 11 million immigrants living in the country illegally. The editorial board asked if he could “envision a world where with the right penalties and waiting periods and meet the requirements where those people could get citizenship?”
“Sure,” Walker responded. “I mean I think it makes sense.” <<
Not acceptable to me. I also remember reading that his great idea for curing illegal immigration in the future is more legal immigration. As if the problem with illegal immigrants is not their actual presence, impact on wages etc, but merely a question of judicial process.
