— Ace Even weenies can have a point on occasion.
The Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility says the greenhouse gases generated by EPA administrator Gina McCarthy's week-long, five-city tour will "far exceed" any concrete action on climate change from her travels....
Ruch noted that some events on McCarthyÂ’s itinerary have questionable ties to promoting climate action, such as joining Energy Secretary Moniz to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at Tuesday's Red Sox vs. Yankees baseball game at Boston's Fenway Park.
Ruch said McCarthy is a frequent air traveler and has been criticized for commuting frequently back to her home in Boston. An agency official told The Daily Caller earlier this month that McCarthy sometimes drives home to Boston on the weekends, but the official did not specify how many times or the vehicle she uses.

The new McCarthyism.
Am I the only one who thinks its ironic that we now have an EPA director named McCarthy?

On Monday, McCarthy will appear on "The Daily Show" with Jon Stewart. The rest of the week is packed with a visit to Boston, to throw out the first pitch at a Red Sox game, and a trip to Ohio to discuss the health impacts of air pollution.
On Thursday, McCarthy will be in Georgia to talk about the impact and costs of climate change.
The tour will wrap up Friday in Tennessee, where McCarthy will be joined by Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx and Shaun Donovan, secretary of Housing and Urban Development.
The opening act on the tour will be Hootie and/or The Blowfish....

Throwing out a ceremonial first pitch is a notoriously tough gig, but on Tuesday Environmental Protection Agency administrator Gina McCarthy will take her chances on the mound at the Yankees-Red Sox game at Fenway Park.
To prepare, McCarthyÂ’s recently been trading pitches with her deputy, Bob Perciasepe, between meetings and other business. When they have a chance, the agencyÂ’s top two officials have been slipping out to the courtyard inside the EPAÂ’s headquarters for quick practice sessions. (Perciasepe will be throwing out the first pitch at Nationals Park that evening, so they both have incentive to brush up.)

180 Why haven't most or all of the red states passed bans on affirmative action and racial discrimination?
It wasn't until we had a majority of R's in both sides of our statehouse...and an R-governor...that we got the law passed here, to ban affirmative action.
So I suspect that this has something to do with it in other states.
People think that Oklahoma has been a red state for a long time.
It hasn't.
And the Dems here are constantly trying to change it back to blue.
I hope this new SCOTUS ruling means that our law here in OK is now good to go.

207...didn't know they had a new series.
I'll have to check it out.
The new Showtime series is not with Penn and Teller, BackwardsBoy.
Sorry...I didn't make that clear.
'Years of Living Dangerously' is a bunch of Hollywood types mouthing off about how we shouldn't be raping Mother Gaia.

So even if us knuckle dragging deniers dispute the "science" we're on board with the solution. Why aren't the people that are convinced of AGW or climate change on board and actually promote something that will help?"

216...I wonder if they got angry subscribers threatening to cancel.
Or maybe Penn and Teller got tired of doing it.
Well, Showtime usually reruns their series...even long after they're not still producing them.
Or they at least load them into their OnDemand listings.
Showtime didn't do either one with 'Bullshit'.
It just...disappeared.

You know, one of the things that struck me in that 'Man of Steel' movie...is how Lois Lane had to leak her story about Kal-El to a blogger, because Perry White wouldn't run it.

297 'They believed they were going to be saved, that they were going to be rescued, but they weren't,' Simmons said of the four Americans who died.
'I know who made the decision, in my heart of hearts, to leave our war fighters there and be blown up. And then to have one of the most powerful politicians in our country sit there and say, "What difference does it make?" – should be an alarm bell for all Americans.
'It haunts me,' Simmons said. 'I play that line over, and over, and over, and over in my mind.'

Good news: Jeb Bush-and Huckafool-backed candidate Lizbeth Benaquisto lost the GOP primary race for our special Congressional District 19 election tonight.
I almost don't care who won it, just that she lost.
Why Sarah Palin also backed her is a huge mystery. Hope it wasn't just because Benaquisto's a woman. A lot of people here in this district are annoyed that Palin endorsed her.
By the way, Curt Clawson, the guy who won, was endorsed by Rand Paul.
