For The Low Price of $625, You Can Have the Complete Starter Batman Toy Set You Always Wanted
— Ace

It's not complete. Of course it's not. It comes with Bruce Wayne, Batman, and Alfred.

You still have to buy the Joker and other crap separately. I can't imagine what the Batmobile will cost. Another $300, at least?

So okay, it's absurd. I grant you that.

But...

Take a look at the action figures children's dollies themselves. They look like... actual people, like Christian Bale, Michael Caine, and Heath Ledger.

This is a doll

"But can you move their eyes?" you exclaim, excitedly.

Yes you can. And it's creepy.

We've become a society of arrested adolescents. So many people (like me) who don't have children and so many people who do and treat them like little adults. And so many people fixated on collectables. My mother, for instance, buys crap from the shopping TV networks and there isn't a bare space anywhere in the house.

You know, I'm kind of surprised that the dolphins can recognize human females as "female".  Though I doubt anyone really knows, I'm curious what tips male dolphins off that a member of a completely different species is female.

129 N.J. Supreme Court overturns arrest of man found with 13 bags of cocaine TUESDAY JANUARY 7, 2014, 1:58 PM BY MICHAEL PHILLIS STATEHOUSE BUREAU THE RECORD PRINT | E-MAIL The Supreme Court ruled that a man found with 13 bags of crack cocaine was arrested and searched unlawfully in a unanimous decision Tuesday. The court decided the search was illegal because the officer didn’t have probable cause to make an arrest. “Momentarily leaning against a building, or an upraised porch, on a city block, would not be considered loitering to an objectively reasonable citizen,” the court said with Justice Barry Albin writing for the majority. In 2007, a police officer saw David Gibson momentarily leaning against a porch in the city of Burlington where a “no loitering” sign was posted nearby. At around 3:20 a.m. as Gibson was walking away from the area, the officer stopped him for questioning. The complaint said Gibson told the officer his name and why he was out at such an early hour. The officer thought Gibson was very excited and evasive but did not provide evidence of his beliefs. After their conversation, the officer arrested Gibson for intent to commit a defiant trespass. When Gibson was back at the station he was searched and the crack cocaine was discovered. Gibson’s lawyer was not immediately available for comment. “If Gibson was not loitering, then [the officer] could not have formed a well-grounded suspicion that Gibson was defiantly trespassing,” the opinion said. “Therefore, the record does not support that [the officer] had probable cause to arrest Gibson for defiant trespass.” The decision overturns an appeals court ruling that upheld the arrest. The drug evidence seized in the search now cannot be used as evidence, according to the court. A Harvard Grad i suppose? The law is an ass

139 Regarding the shooting of the schizophrenic kid: if the DA was present, then the "we don't have time for this" might have been because of the DA, for whatever reason. Scenario 1: The cop didn't want to appear inefficient in front of the DA: in which case he meant to draw his Taser and made a human factors error in his self-induced stress to not appear bad. Scenario 2: Because he felt the kid was a ticking time bomb, that the DA would do nothing, and that it was time to remove a known threat to the community, like putting down a rabid dog--and the cop felt a plausible deniability threshold had kicked in that nobody would be able to challenge.

192 Here we go EC. I'm just copying his tweets, not what was tweeted to him. All it takes is one! Ok here is my theory...McCarthy first came to my attention (and I'm assuming many others) back in the early 90'sÂ…. The first time I remember seeing her, she was vamping it up on that horrible MTV game show "Singled Out." But McCarthy was differentÂ… Than your typical pinup babe...her onscreen persona carried an unusual attitude. In those Singled Out episodes she came off with an edge.. And that edge was animated by what seemed to be...Malice. She seemed to dislike the contestants on the show and seemed more of an anti-host. Now, combine this with her other characteristic (she bounced around set like a hyper cheerleader on meth) and you were leftÂ… With an unusual hostess. In fact, I always had the impression that she built an image to intentionally suggest she walked a fine lineÂ… As if she were trying for "constructively crazy" as an established imageÂ… Any way a handful of years later, many of which were renowned for their wildness, this image remained... In fact, her image was such that when she dated Jim Carrey, Ace Ventura seemed the stable one in that package... It was during this period that DC brought a new character to the forefront: a hot, crazy villain in love with the Joker: Harley Quinn. A character that seemed to mirror the malicious aspects of @Jennymccarthy and her relationship to her own Joker, Carrey. So that's my theory. Is it true? No idea. But every time I see her, I have no trouble picturing her with a giant hammer smashing things up. But it's true, right? Didn't JM always seem like a Proto Harley? She seemed oddly chaotic for chaos sake.

201 AtC, I collect Tonner still. Although I suppose you were more into the superhero stuff, whereas I'm more into the fashion stuff.

I think the issue with toys for today's adults relates more to discretionary income and less than to maturity. I'm a responsible mother of two relatively mature, responsible teen-age girls. I also like to collect dolls, because they're pretty and I like fashion and clothes. I don't consider it any different than comic books, or stamps, or table top war gaming, with all the paraphanelia that can come with THAT. It's something adults can do because our society has discretionary income and manufacturing capabilities.

I mean, the trouser pole is bad but a double duty buzzing latex cuke is okay? And what about two homos, isn't it also rape when one queen wham-bam-thank-you-man butt bangs another, aren't they also repressed by Mr Hetero Patriarchy?

504 Amazing video has surfaced of the rescue of Harrison Okene, a cook who was trapped in an air pocket for three days when the tugboat he was in capsized was found alive. Okene, 29, was the sole survivor of the shipwreck caused by heavy ocean swells off the coast of Nigeria.

Mila needs to come in heels.
