— Ace Previously the case had been sent back to a lower court, which found them culpable.
But the Italian system requires an appeals court to agree with the finding for it to be an official conviction.
An Italian court says it convicted Amanda Knox and her former boyfriend of murdering her onetime roommate in part because of evidence showing that more than one person killed the British student. The Florence appeals court released its explanation Tuesday, less than three months after it convicted Knox and Raffaele Sollecito in Meredith Kercher's 2007 death in a retrial.
In the more than 300-page document, the court said that a third person convicted in the murder, Rudy Guede, did not act alone, and cited the nature of the victim's wounds.
Ruling Judge Alessandro Nencini, who presided over the second appeal in the case, said Kercher, 21, and Knox disagreed over the payment of the rent in the house they shared in Perugia and that "there was an argument, then an elevation and progression of aggression."
The Florence court in January said that Knox, who also was convicted of slander, was sentenced in absentia to 28½ years in prison. Sollecito's sentence was 25 years.
They were first convicted of murder in 2009, but the verdicts were overturned on appeal in 2011.Through her attorney, Knox released a statement proclaiming her innocence.
...
The judge also reasoned that Knox's false accusation of her former boss, Patrick Lumumba, whom she accused of the killing the night she was arrested, proved her guilt.
...
Nencini wrote that the accusation against Lumumba was "indispensable in understanding the crime" and that the accusation "cannot be separated from the murder."
So now it's a trivial argument about the rent (which was like $300 per month) which "escalates" into a brutal three-way rape/murder with a drifter.
Incidentally, this "argument about the rent" is making its first appearance in the Knox/Kercher saga. This has never been proposed before, never been testified to before, and, as far as I know, the judge is just speculatin' about things that coulda maybe happened.
The "argument about the rent" is the Italian court system's third attempt at a motive.
The first attempt was a Satanic Sex Cult Game Gone Wrong (and seriously, how often do they go right?). This was inspired by Harry Potter books, because, for serious, Harry Potter is Sex on Wheels.
The second attempt was when the judge in the first trial basically edited out that silly, embarrassing motive, and suggested a new motive: There was no motive. The organized three-way rape/murder just happened in the twinkling of an eye, without previous planning, and without any actual motive for it.
This third attempt constitutes an advance for Italian justice, as this judge realized, it seems, that Satanic Sex Game Gone Wrong was not a very convincing motive, and yet the alternative motive -- That there was no motive -- also lacked a certain je ne sais quoi.
So he constructs a new motive, about something that people actually kill people over (money).
The only problem is that there has never been any evidence of any kind of argument about money or rent (in fact, Amanda and Meredith didn't argue about anything, except that Amanda was too messy and didn't clean the toilets enough, and also that she played her guitar and sung too often -- again, not your classic murder motives).
So now they had a huge argument that no one ever heard of before over the trivial monthly rent that both could easily afford and that led to Amanda using her Sexual Wiles to enlist a smelly drifter to come up to their flat and join her and her new boyfriend in a Satanic Sex Cult Game Gone Wrong Extreme Rent Mediation Session.

The tabloid "Bild" says Kercher accused Knox of stealing money from her room, and things got out of hand. Says the original allegation of out of control sex games is not plausible.
Wounds in the neck are supposedly from two different knives, so obviously it was the grifter and Knox and the boyfriend, over money. The other reason they convicted her doesn't count, so she's guilty for the new reason.
I hope someone at least reposts the prison yoga picture.

My second favorite was Ma Bell, who because she knows people in Italy knows the truth.
My third favorite isn't really a troll, but its MAx/DAve who has a major hardon for defending trolls. Who got all righteous about Tom Sawyer when that bullshit knife got thrown out of court because he declared that Tom Sawyer was right, forgetting that Tom was obsessed with Knox being guilty and he was certain the knife was the murder weapon.

Congress banned tolls on Interstates in 1956 when it created the national highway system under President Dwight D. Eisenhower.
-----
The interstates were fully funded by the gas tax, and continued to be repaired through the same system, until - wait for it, urban transit and rail systems began to get a third of the gas tax revenue.
Just for the record, bus lines cost twice what single passenger vehicles cost per passenger mile, and pollute more. Trains are something like twice as expensive as buses.

Sebelius had originally been set to testify before the subcommittee about the departmentÂ’s 2015 $70 billion budget request on April 2.
According to another aide, however, several weeks after confirming the hearing date, she requested a date switch with the National Institutes of Health budget hearing on May 7. The committee accommodated her request.
Now, after announcing her resignation on April 11, she is refusing to testify according to the two aides, even though she is still the sitting secretary — remaining at the post until her successor, OMB Director Sylvia Mathews Burwell is confirmed.
“It appears that Sec. Sebelius has unilaterally decided that she is no longer accountable to Congress,” the first aide said.

The clean up after using a guillotine has to be a deal breaker. Rope snapping a neck seems good. I like that the person in charge of hanging the nazis after the Nuremberg trials "miscalculated" and the convicted nazis were strangled. They apparently also hung Goering's fat ass even though he had already committed suicide.

And you're right. Unless the murdered victim's family are idjits out to get the white American girl for not being the one murdered, they have not closure.
But then, does Italy believe in "closure" or just vendettas and over stuffed whitened sepulchers, or for those who can't afford a family sepulcher, guilty corruptions and skeletons swept under the rug?
No way would an Italian Judicial Court convict an Italian when there's an American scapegoat available.
Aside from Muslim nations* (I'm guessing some would refuse), which country on earth does not extradite to Italy? Doesn't that* limit Amanda's options to live out the Judge's insane scenario that painted her as cheap-skate Satan worshiping nymphomaniac -- selling herself into the white sex slave market?

He did, but as with all else, he wasn't the first, nor was he the most creative at that. Since early 20th Century and the cultural disillusionment suffered through WWI and decadence following, grandiose speculations leading to the '29 Crash, and then the self righteous attitude of those who HAD jobs against those who lost all they had...
Gauging by "Cabaret" story setting, Berlin in particular was already worse than "seedy" -- where the 'cynics for profit' through blood money would kill for sport.
It didn't take one leader, and it wasn't just in Germany, but throughout Europe where fascists and communists alike killed political opponents and "weaklings" -- infamously "Because I Could" (establishing Clinton as crony regardless of chronology) terrorize in order to "be" king of the mountain.
Spain's civil war loser-communists v. fascists leaving monarchists dead and surviving communists all exiled; Mexico's civil wars of the 20th century, specifically the outlawing of the Catholic Church and killing faithful Christians for sport out of malice, laughing at the victims.
It isn't as if France's bigotry about all values didn't get the laughing at killing ball rolling, parading "Liberty, Justice and Fraternity" through the limitless blood flowing and then in through global Napoleonic Wars which also outlawed Catholicism. Lots of laughter while slaughtering "backwards, superstitious" Christians for the good of society.
One of the latest quotes from the CinC is him bragging for laughs, "I'm getting pretty good at killing people."
Watch "Shakespeare Uncovered" episode one, Ethan Hawke on Macbeth, on this business of bloody-murderous-insanity taking hold of a man's mind and life -- the power of suggestion washing through paths of least resistance.

His DNA was in abundance on the victim's bra clasp. They got both the Y halotype and the autosomal DNA of his off the bra clasp.
You can't say he wasn't there.
They also found Knox's blood mixed with the victim's in 4 separate spots throughout the house and they only way that happens if they are both bleeding at the same time. One of the spots was in the room where Rudy was supposed to break in, and neither the victim or Knox should have been in there.
The forensic people also used Luminol and it revealed footprints that matched Knox and Raffeale in the hallway.

The "sex game" thing was a misinterpretation....the prosecutor meant it was a sexual hazing that spiralled into murder, not a sex game.
Knox and her boyfriend have never provided any proof of their alibi. Her boyfriend actually broke her alibi, which is what led to her to falsey accuse her black boss shortly after she was informed of this. So all this talk about no proven motive is interesting given the defense never proved her alibi with anything. Pretty hard to believe there isn't just 1 thing that would have confirmed they were at the boyfriend's house that night in the age of cell phones, social media and computers.

Who knows why she didn't accuse Rudy of it, because you don't find it too much of a coincidence another black man was in fact involved after her false accuation was revealed? She clearly had knowledge Rudy was involved so how did she know this?
The prosecutor didn't originate the Satanic cult theory in the MOF case. That case was worked by another guy named Guitarri back in the day. The prosecutor was only investigating a doctor's possible murder because his wife didn't think he had committed suicide. When he had the body exhume, it was discovered that it was a different body, this body had no been drowned while the other was. This body had been strangled, why the other had not. There was different waist sizes and amount of hair on the head. The prosecutor just went with the facts.
That prosecutor is an anti-Mafia lawyer. I am going to go with what he claims over a B-list American writer who was in a country where he did not understand the language very well. Doug Preston is not a police investigator and you are giving him expertise in something in which he has zero. Nobody in Italy agrees with his dumb theory on MOF.
Posted by: KingSlayer at April 30, 2014 05:49 PM (Vn3+q)
Both of them turned off their cell phones that night at the same time. Probably so they couldnt be traced to their real location.
The forensic expert who nailed Rudi with her expertise is the same one who found Raffeale's DNA on the bra clasp. You say only Rudi is guilty but then throw the forensic expert under the bus when her work finds Sollicito guilty. There was an abundance of his DNA on the bra clasp. You can't wish this away. It was a strong profile.
There is so much evidence against these too. It is disappointing to see a blogger saying she's innocent. How do you get something this wrong if you've researched it? He just believes whatever Preston says.

12 measures were 100 percent match for Sollecito. There were some huge discrepancies in the measaurements for Rudy with the bathroom mat.
Also, Rudy's footprintsi n the house went straight to the front door, he did not go into the bathroom post murder.

She immediately accused Patrick because she had previously been told Solleicto broke her alibi. She was just trying to divert the police so she could come up with another story that fit the facts better as she learned them. She made clear from the get go that "she wasn't sure" if he was involved or not, which is so she could later say she wasn't sure because it was like a dream or something.
In MOF case, body parts were removed from the victims. That is how the Satanic ritual idea began. I don't think the theory on the face of it is absurd if body parts are being remove from victims. There are obviously some Satanists out there if the word Satanist exist.
You are only talking about MOF because Doug Preston controls every thought you have on Amanda Knox. MOF is irrelevant to the Knox case. Yet you love bringing it up. Get off Preston's script and think for yourself. He's an idiot.

All they did is say "contamination is possible". They ddin't prove it or even lay out a realistic scenario how it occurred. They even agreed in court too many days had passed in the lab for there to have been contamination in the lab.
This was the top forensics lab in Italy. It isnsn't believable they weren't following protocols. Every guilty person cries contamination.
There was Knox's mixed blood DNA with the victims, the victim's DNA on the blade of the knife with Knox's on the handle and Solleicoto's DnA on the bra clasp. You claim all of that was contaminated? lol
On top of that you have both their bloody footprints in the hallway as exposed by the Luminol. And raffeale's foot on the bathmat.
Knox's desk lamp was found on the floor inside the victim's bedroom which indicatrs she used it in a cleanup effort and forgot about it.
Posted by: KingSlayer at April 30, 2014 06:21 PM (Vn3+q)
That is what the Preston crowd is preaching and it is nuts. Italy has 1/7th the imprisonment rate of the US yet we are supposed to belieeve they railroaded Amanda Knox.
She falsey accused a black man of murder and she doesn't have an alibi. That alone makes it 99 percent likely she is the killer. She has a key to the house, she had knowledge her other roommates would be away that weekend as well as the victim's boyfriend. The girl couldn't have been held down by just one person b/c she had few defensive wounds.

If anything, Knox is like the black girl who made the false accusations.
The anti-mafia lawyer in Italy is not Mike Nifong. He's actually a good conservative guy.
No guy could get away with Knox's sob stories and false accusation of a man. You guys act like theh false accusation is no big thing. It is everything.
You haven't proved Doug Preston is a bright man. He doesn[t come across that way to me. Did you know he and his co-author visited the person's house they accused of being the MOF, and asked him to his face? This guy thinks he is a real investigator or something. Douchebag.
