Now a Federal District Court Judge Strikes Down Oklahoma's Same-Sex Marriage Ban
— Ace

It's almost as if this were all planned from the start. Get the foot in the door politically, and then rely upon Robed Radicals to Do the Job That American Democracy Doesn't Want To Do.

Same-sex marriages will not occur immediately in Oklahoma, as the ruling is stayed pending an appeal. Oklahoma is part of the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, which is already hearing an appeal of UtahÂ’s same-sex marriage ban, which was struck down in December. The 10th CircuitÂ’s ruling in UtahÂ’s case will apply to Oklahoma as well, making the decision somewhat superfluous.

I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but despite what they say they've always had marriage 'equality'. No one was ever denying gay people the right to marry a person of the opposite sex. When they talk of equality, they mean that society must be forced to believe that procreative intercourse is no different from buttsecks. That's the main reason why they freaked out when Phil Robertson said he doesn't get it.

108 "73 Lmao, now they're just trolling the red states. This is one stop short of constitutionalizing it in Alabama."

Yup, the gay activist lawyers have been shopping around.

btw, equality is the creed of communists.

We need to have 'equality' as a creed, and as a proposition, disdained and not perverted into a Constitutional imperative that upends our freedom, our federalism and our democratic order.

These kinds of rulings are beyond scary, they are treason of sorts. A deliberate burning down of the Constitution, smoking it for a bad and awful social agenda.  Roe v Wade was awful but had nothing on these brain-fart rulings.

"Opposition to same-sex marriage is declared "irrational" because to the Lef the only difference to them between a male and a female is the purely cosmetic difference between a penis and a vagina.'

Reality is bigotry. Men and women are the same. There is no rational basis to support man-woman family creation. We dont need kids anyway.

110 The problem we have with fighting gay marriage is most people don't feel "threatened" by it.  My issue with it is A) I don't like having dictators in black robes making up laws that have no basis in our Constitution and overuling democratically passed statutes and B) I think gay activists push gay marriage more to flip the bird to traditionalists, otherwise they would be fine with Civil Unions.

The average American just shrugs their shoulders because they don't see it as something that's being taken away from them.  It's much easier to be on a platform of more choices than less choices because those that disagree can just not participate.

If Americans started voting for gay marriage, I would have a much easier time going along with it.  I wouldn't like it, but it wouldn't feel like it's being forced upon us.  Just about every single time this comes up for a vote, gay marriage has gone down.  Even in the bluest of states.  That's what pisses me off.

I'd guess there are no celebs wearing ribbons of getting into public snits over the blood test guy. When the Judges write 50 pages of babble-speak to pull off a hypocritical distinction, I'd guess we'd keep the scraps of marriage .. for a while.

But then again, if the justification for single man - single woman marriage is 'irrational' then the barriers to polygamy and kissin cousins are intellectually  kaput.

face it, this screws everyone who is not on the approved 'victims' list: men, women, children.

gay marriage will destroy marriage.

Lice can not live off a host more than 24 hours. It's the eggs you have to get. Slather her head with the Cetaphil and go over it section by section with the comb to get the nits, rinsing the comb in a bowl of hot water between passes. It can be repeated as needed since it's completely non toxic. You can even slather it on and have her sleep with a shower cap on since it will smother the lice. Google cetaphil lice treatment.

157 how secure are any amendments anywhere really? Let me paint a picture how we get from here to pedophilia. Right now the only thing standing between older guys and young boys marrying is the "age of consent". Scientific research has gone into the age at which a person is able to decide between right and wrong, and discern the difference. That age is eight years old. As the activists finish up getting gay marriage approved in all 50 states, you will start to hear rumblings about parochial differences between the states regarding the age at which one can marry. In some states it's 18, some it's 16, and in Europe ... They will follow the same pattern you see with gay marriage. It'll be everywhere in media, and all the smart people will talk about love and marriage and the age of consent. Then the age will start to slide down down down as people agree, more and more, that the age of consent is logically and scientifically at younger and younger ages.

With marriage in all but name, there was little justification to deny the title of "marriage." "Civil unions" were touted as a way of avoiding gay marriage and showing tolerance and compassion without forcing anyone to actually accept it. Yet again, the natural tolerance and love of equality under the law was used by the Rabid Left to destroy a pillar of American - and human - society.

They do sound similar to Obama though. He picked up blind, bandwagon fans on his way to winning two elections. He is protected by his kneepad wearing MFM, and is the bureaucracy's golden ticket.

I guess to SCOAMF, because he has a nominal opposition (like the Heat having to actually play in occasionally tough games before being handed a championship trophy) that they are suffering from a lack of respect. Boo fucking hoo.

204 112 The problem we have with fighting gay marriage is most people don't feel "threatened" by it. Posted by: McAdams at January 14, 2014 06:49 PM (mo/Gx) -------------------------- What you said. The most disturbing thing about this is that we are no longer dealing with judges interpreting the law but with robed high priests are declaring the will of the gods. When "constitutional" becomes confused with "righteous," when the law is replaced by "enlightened world opinion," to use Justice Ginsberg's phrase, we have an established religion. And need I add that there are no limits to the reach of this?

Posted by: hello, it's me also a creep-assed cracka.. at January 14, 2014 06:55 PM (9+ccr) --------------------------- I don't see churches being forced to marry same-sex couples. Down the road they may well lose their tax-exemption though. What will happen, if Nazi Germany and Stalinist Russia give a clue, is there will be state approved churches, the ones favoring abortion, euthanasia, homosexual "marriage," etc., the ones that support whatever the State deems "holy." The others will be allowed to exist but will be demonized and isolated. And of course members of those churches will be shunned, ridiculed, and often deprived of livelihood.
