Shocker: After First Claiming to be Ready to Comply With Congressional Demands for Lois Lerner's Emails, IRS Now Says It Will Delay Releasing Them... Until After the 2014 Elections
— Ace

OUT: A healthy democracy requires a responsive government and a well-informed citizenry

IN: Go F*ck Yourself Peons

They claim that it will take too long to review and redact so many documents.

Apparently Republicans shot back that they should prioritize this, and assign more personnel to the task, if that's what it takes.

Democrats, meanwhile, chose to question the propriety of investigating alleged government harassment of citizens at all.

By Stephen Dinan, the Washington Times

IRS Commissioner John Koskinen said Wednesday that he wonÂ’t be able to produce all of former employee Lois G. LernerÂ’s emails and those of other key employees by the end of this year, pushing it beyond this yearÂ’s congressional elections.

In a heated exchange over whether he and his tax agency employees are cooperating in CongressÂ’s investigations into tea party targeting, Mr. Koskinen said the amount of time it will take to look through and redact private information from the documents could last years.

...

Some Democrats objected to the congressional investigation in the first place, saying it has cost millions of dollars for the IRS to upgrade its computers and to designate staff to review and reply to records requests.

I wrote to my senators asking them to consider replacing the IRS with a consumption tax, the only way to avoid    this    partisan organization from access to our income    records and    bank accounts.

Simple as that.

14 Go Fuck Yourself is the Democrats new campaign slogan. A Rhode Island state senator didn’t mince words last week, telling one Internet-show-hosting conspiracy theorist “go fuck yourself” when asked about anti-gun legislation the senator was voting on that day. On March 18, the legislature was gathered to vote on gun-control bills, prompting Truth Radio Show’s Dan Bibondi to ask, “Yeah, The Second Amendment shall not be infringed, you people need to understand that. Yeah.” “Go fuck yourself,” Rhode Island Sen. Josh Miller replied. “Yeah, go fuck yourself,” the senator’s weird friend added.

Now despite paying for an electronic program with e-file I have to print the SOB and mail it.

In my fantasy,  this plays out like one of those cliches  from movies and tv, where the company is being probed by the government, so they have an all-night document shredding party, only to be interrupted by g-men with guns pointed at secretaries, CEOs, CFOs, managers and assorted underlings  gatherered  round  the shredder.

"NOT SO FAST!"  The agent shouts, as Lois tries  to feed one more  document in.  A burst of bullets, a  spray of blood, and a document saved.

Lois lives, but she shows up in court with chains on her ankles, and missing a thumb and two fingers.

And this upgrade was an out-of-band action that wasn't planned?  How old were their old computers?  Desktop PCs haven't had to be upgraded for about five years for proc speed and memory upgrades.  At work and home I'm using older computers and they have no problem with anything other than the very latest games.

Or they're putting it all into a database and doing detailed investigation on it all to see what their lawyers can come up with RE their opposition's arguments.  Then they disappear all troubling information that might assist said argument.

The IRS refuses to accept a return with $0 income on it.

Now despite paying for an electronic program with e-file I have to print the SOB and mail it.

Negative views of President Obama have hit a new high, according to a poll.

Obama's approval rating stands at 41 percent. That's the second-lowest figure the poll has ever found.

281 I've been in IT for over 25 years, and an email administrator, on various platforms, for most of those.

I didn't read through all the comments but I'm sure this has been said before, and if it has been, it's true.

I could dump out all of this broad's last 5 years of email in about a week- tops.  Probably in 24-48 hours.  I've had users of my systems who had 10-12 years of email, and these are people who are highly email intensive positions.  60-70 GB of email, and that is a TON of email.  (Most email is plain text)

They receive hundreds of email a day.  That takes about 80 hours of the server collecting the archives and dumping them out.

And this is on commercial grade email servers, not the rockets the government has.

"May take years" ?  I call absolute and complete bullshit on this.

282 It's going to take them a whole year to redact the shit out of her emails? How hard is it to Control Page Down and hit delete?
