For all of your non-space needs, here's an open thread, brought to you by the wonder of Rob Ford:

Bonus: the album AM is fantastic start-to-finish, and I couldn't imagine any music video could do a single track any justice, but I was clearly wrong:

That would be significant except winter doesn't really end until June (ish) this far north. Depression strikes deep, and alcohol doesn't help because eventually you run out of beer and sober up.

In the LATimes, Obama is back to leading with his behind in Syria .

Saudi officials say they want to provide moderate rebel groups with shoulder-fired antiaircraft missiles to use against the Syrian aircraft that are dropping barrel bombs. Officially, the Obama administration opposes anyone supplying those missiles, for fear they could fall into the hands of terrorists and be used against civilian airliners in Israel or the West.

Obama doesn't have a policy, doesn't have foreign policy, doesn't have a clue. They don't know what to do. They especially don't care because they can't figure out how to make any money from it.

I was at a grocery store in the back grabbing eggs, and an announcement came on saying "the store is closing, please exit thru the front of the store, immediately"  - no check out, just out.  Half and dozen cops up front, taping things off.

Drove to another store, got eggs.

89 The French Macaron is a type of merengue sandwich cookie made with super fine almond flour and has filling between. I tried making mine with a lemon curd. It's the cookie part that's hard to make. The egg whites have to be aged for a day(s), the flour has to be super fine and sifted several times, the whisking, folding has to be just right. Then you have to pipe each cookie exactly the right size and shape and let it rest for and hour or two before baking. then more waiting before filling. Oh, the filling is a whole other ordeal. But the complete cookie, when done right, is sublime.

94 We'll see what completely happened when/if there's video footage.

Recently the MFM shit scrummed Ford at a council meeting as he was trying to walk to the washroom so I could see something similar having happened here and not as implied by the MFM that he was overly-celebrating and did something dumb like try to jump on top of or over a fire hydrant.

On the bright side when the MFM pushes shit like this, it makes Ford Nation all the more pissed off so there'll be a full turnout for him in October against the RINO/Red Tory shit and the leftists that run against him.

See you later on the ONT as I've got some TV to watch.

118 Sooo... to recap... There is a Constitutional Republic, with an elected President. That President does something, which can be argued is within his Presidential Powers, that people do not like... because he sides with one power, over another, for economic purposes (Russia over EU, whom they owe BIG money to). People March in the Streets, for months, until it turns violent. The Parliament then does not Impeach the President, as it would take some time and get a Constitutional Court involved (go read their Constitution).... but just votes him out of power and votes their own Head into power. And the US is backing the Unconstitutional Power Grab, even AFTER the President had said he would step down, and call for new elections in a few months. Interesting Precedent to back there... President Soetoro....

I like your style, let's talk about the 9:00 spot, if you promise to only direct your vulgarities to 25-65 white conservative heterosexual males.

The Pres ran on going with the EU.

132 I watched Raging Bull a few weeks ago & fell asleep before the end. It is on MGM channel & I set DVR to record it. I was doing laundry & missed Shameless & am waiting for 11 pm showing of it. I put on Olympic closing ceremonies. Does Costa's still have pinkeye? How appropriate for commie country!

139 At my Walmart a hobo Vietnam Vet was opening and sniffing bread, the cop confronted him and he pulled a knife. The cop shot him. That Hobo is still around and smells even worse. Worse than the grave. Bad legs now though, and a new rotten coat. Posted by: Boss Moss at February 23, 2014 09:13 PM (6bMeY) Reminds me of a joke attributed by Monty Python to Hitler: Hitler- "Mein hund hass no nosse. Himmler- "Und zo, Mein Fuehrer, how doess it szmell? Hitler- "Terrible!" Hitler and Himmler- "Hahahahahahahahahahaha!"

Piers Morgan is out?

Maybe the folks at CNN know more about the phone hacking scam than has been reported?  Get rid of him before he becomes a liability?

Either way, I am Smiling!

FUCK YOU, ASSHOLE.

149 Posted by: ChrisP at February 23, 2014 10:11 PM (f0YjW) Actually... from what I read... The Ukraine President did NOT run on an anti Russian pro EU platform... And it was the EU who sent the treaty to them... without really being asked.. So... unsolicited Trade Treaty turned down, because of debt and a better offer from Russia... And also perhaps, because some see the problems with the EU... as Britain is about to have a referendum about leaving? As many member States have lost autonomy? As the Plutocrats of the EU put a NON ELECTED Government in charge of Greece?
