Happy Monday.

The numbers of people that Obama claims have been helped by Obamacare are unbelievable.

The numbers for political organizations raising money during the shutdown are interesting.

The photographs of different places are amazing.

The inferences of shenanigans at Old Dominion University are disturbing.

The typos in this piece on the end of Piers Morgan's CNN show are amusing.

2 Good Morning Morons.  Today is Monday, February 24, 2014..  On this day in 1803 the Supreme Court ruled in Marbury v. Madison that any act of Congress which conflicts with the Constitution is null and void.  They also established themselves as the sole arbiter of the Constitution which most of the founders disagreed with.   But what they failed to do was take some kind of action to nullify the ruling.  Instead they (Jefferson) elected to ignore it.  That was a mistake.

You're about 20 years behind the times.

Even with a high school diploma one's chances for employment are lower as you're competing with illegals who house themselves dormitory style and will work for a lot less especially if it's paid under the counter.

Even most manufacturing jobs require being screened by some chicklet with a social workers degree (or liberal arts) in Human Resources who screens potential hirees using psychological tests and questions. The people who would be your boss no longer do the hiring so there's no chance to make an impression by knowledge.
It's all paper and rote questions. And that's if you even get an interview.

Over certain age = no hire, fat = no hire, out of work too long = no hire, just moved in = no hire.

And that was BEFORE the job massacre of the last 5 years. Now it's even worse.

Anyone who says it's easy peasy to get a job, either already has one or doesn't need one for some other reason and hasn't had to find one within the last 10 years.

Fox had a special on last year.  They said that jobs were going begging in the trades.  Everyone thinks they have to work in an office and they turn their noses up at outside work.  There are jobs to be had, it just may not be what people want.

48 And that was BEFORE the job massacre of the last 5 years. Now it's even worse. Saw a good description of what the job market is like by some writer recently; like a game of musical chairs where every time the music stops more jobs are lost. The music is stopping at faster and faster intervals under Obama.

50 Posted by: Vic at February 24, 2014 07:17 AM (T2V/1)

Do you understand that in most places you cannot work a trade without a license?

That to get a license will require that you have been through some sort of training program and been certified?

That in some cases you will be required to have insurance? (that's if you plan to free lance)

That those jobs will also require a certain amount of time working as an apprentice or as a journeyman?

There's more but that's enough.

It's not enough to repeat anecdotal comments without some link to them and just because there's jobs in area A doesn't mean there's jobs in area B and moving isn't always easily done if you have family, home, obligations. Or are not qualified for some other reason. You implied that not having a HS Dip was a major cause and it may be for some but there are far more complicated reasons than that for the disparity of wage growth. (note I said wage GROWTH and not income. While the upper classes have improved their position, the lower classes have lost ground or stagnated.)

And it is a fact that there has been an inequality of wage growth in the country. Jobs have gone overseas for the lower classes and the upper middle and upper classes have gained more over the same amount of time.

When has making a living ever been easy?  Historically (by which I mean "before state and federal governments started paying people to stay in their shitholes and not work"), people moved--including their families--to where they could get work.  Black people moved north to the Rust Belt, white people moved to California, it's how we became a "nation of immigrants" in the first place--shit, that's why we've got 10-20 illegally resident foreign nationals causing problems here now.

55: "Over at American Thinker. Wow."

Growing up as a kid, the only racism I ever encountered was some bad joke my step-dad or his brother would spout off on occasion.

Then when I got to high-school, I got a facefull of it. Lines were clearly drawn, and the primary racial goal was to not get jumped by "them".

When I enlisted at 18, the military mostly erased all that shit. In the arena in which I operated (flightline maintenance), we didn't have the time, energy, or inclination for racial BS. You were either a hacker or a slacker. Either status was completely earned.

Now that I'm retired and see what is going on around me, I hope and pray that I don't slide down that slope of racism. But I'm afraid. Not only for the physical safety of me and my family, but of our mental and spiritual safety as well.

I don't want to be a racisct. But I don't see anything that I can do on my own that would prevent moving in that direction.

Since the Great Society, black America, with the aid and assistance of the Democrat radical left as alienated and segregated itself from society and has devolved into criminality, bastardy, sloth, resentment and violence, as well as perpetual hatred and grievance of the nation. All in order to be a permanent voting bloc and to advance the aims of the Left. This is genocide. Bit by bit, piece by piece, but genocide nonetheless. In the late 1950s and early 60s, there was a producer named Samuel Bronston, a sort of poor manÂ’s DeMille, who, out of a studio in Madrid, produced a series of epics – King of Kings, The Fall of the Roman Empire, El Cid -  with the hearty support of the Spanish government.  For battle scenes, Bronston always used soldiers from the army, sometimes up to as many as eight thousand for one take.

It seems that one day Generalissimo Francisco Franco (who remains dead) turned to the Minister of War and mused, “You know, itÂ’s been a long time since I inspected the army.  Fix a parade.”

“I am sorry, my Generalissimo,” the minister responded, “but it cannot be done.  The army is making a movie for Señor Bronston again.”

84 I don't want to be a racisct. But I don't see anything that I can do on my own that would prevent moving in that direction. Posted by: Azenogoth Just always remember, it's not race, exactly. It's cultural. Race-id plays a part in their minds, but it need not be so for us. I once got jumped and had both eyes blackened by six black guys. This was decades ago, more friendly era & place, so I didn't get cut or killed. It was just their way of saying howdy to the stupid white kid tripping through the wrong neighborhood. I'm not excusing them. Just saying I could hold it against blacks in general, except... I can honestly testify that some of the very best people I've known, role models of loving service, duty to family, and strength in faith, have been black. I try to keep them in mind.

Should it be just the N-word .. and when ??
Perhaps a penalty for saying "presidential" ? .. it must be racial.

How long before we can make "Omaha" a racial slur ?

El Cid is great. 55 Days at Peking has its moments. Fall of the Roman Empire is a dog, especially after Alec Guinness dies. I could write an Ace length review about everything that is wrong with that movie, most notably the complete lack of chemistry between Stephen Boyd and Sophia Loren. It is like they weren't even on the set at the same time when they filmed their scenes together.

I'm currently re-reading A Scott Berg's excellent biography of Sam Goldwyn, which is a treasure trove of stories about the former Shmuel Gelbfisz/Samuel Goldfish's erratic behavior.

Ran across a favorite, the recounting of Goldwyn firing one of his top lieutenants (don't remember his name): Some time after the aide experienced a fiery confrontation in Sam's office, he told a mutual acquaintance about the experience. Said acquaintance replied, "did you at least shake hands after he fired you?"

The guy said: "no, we shook fists."

88: "When we lived in Brooklyn, the super of my apartment building was one of the most decent, caring wonderful people I ever knew."

In the neighborhood in which I now live, one of the black families seems to be of a mixed blessing. The single father appears to be the kind of guy you would want as a neighbor. He keeps his place clean and well organized. He is professional in appearance and demeanor. No loud music from the house. If he was a block or so closer, I'd have no qualms about inviting him over for a BBQ.

His two teenage sons however, look and act like the sadly typical sterotypes from a rap video. You can hear their cars before you see them. The manner in which they walk, stand, and carry themselves gives an air of menace. There is nothing that gives proof, but you get the nothing good will come of this kind of vibe.

When the troubles start, how can we quickly and easily identify good men and women of character to others who may not know them personnaly? Do we use armbands or colors? How can we prevent the seemingly inevitable tribalism that comes from strife?

109 Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel plans to shrink the United States Army to its smallest force since before the World War II buildup and eliminate an entire class of Air Force attack jets in a new spending proposal that officials describe as the first Pentagon budget to aggressively push the military off the war footing adopted after the terror attacks of 2001. The officials acknowledge that budget cuts will impose greater risk on the armed forces if they are again ordered to carry out two large-scale military actions at the same time: Success would take longer, they say, and there would be a larger number of casualties. Officials also say that a smaller military could invite adventurism by adversaries. The fiscal 2015 budget will also call for slowing the growth of tax-free housing allowances for military personnel and would reduce the $1.4 billion direct subsidy provided to military commissaries, which would most likely make goods purchased at those commissaries more expensive for soldiers. Assholes. Making goods more expensive for Soldiers to purchase is in effect a wage cut. Let's not sugar coat it

As much as I hate to see bennies cut, I stopped going to the PX in 1998.  Wal-Mart and Target were cheaper by far.  It really depends what you're there for.  Buying a HDTC?  Go to the PX.  Buying anything else?  Go off post.

On average a family can save an estimated 30% of their food bills for the year by shopping at Commissaries. And if you shop wisely it can even be more because, I am sure as you know, sometimes certain items are almost 50% or more off. And not what the savings is, it still results in a "pay cut". And why should ONLY the Military be getting pay cuts? When the dems start cutting entitlement programs get back to me and I might agree to some cuts to the Military reimbursement, but until then, not one more dime

147 >>But he is a kind of miniature Choom Boy Actually, Obama is sort of a miniature Patrick. Patrick was an Axelrod puppet before Obama. Obama even stole a lot of Patrick's material during his 2008 campaign. And Patrick worked in Bubba Clinton's Justice Dept helping to force banks to give loans to minorities cause of social justice under the CRA so he sort of helped blaze the trail for Holder as well. Amazing that Dems can cause so much harm to the country and continue on to larger offices. No wonder they have no idea how the private sector works.

Thanks again.

Teh Biz has a fascinating history (well, at least up to recent years where the corporations have fully taken over), but there are metric tons of b.s., hype and out-and-out lies to wade through to find anything even remotely factual.

Which is, I'm sure, exactly what the old-time Movie Moguls would have wanted.

This is mostly because I am not a fan of e.coli or c. difficile

Apropos of absolutely nothing, I'dl ike to nominate this as one of the top ten    most bizarre,    uniquely disturbing album covers ever to come out of Japan.

Shiritsu Ebisu Chuugaku's single, "Mikakunin    Chuugakusei    X -    Subculture  Edition   (Regular   Edition)"

http://bit.ly/1jtDZCR

I don't know what's more disturbing:  the penile    squid's razor teeth   and glowing eyes (considering that's not where a squid would have teeth and eyes), the jolly look on the one fleeing schoolgirl's face down in the lower left corner, or the fact that one of the fleeing Westerners appears to be a badly made CG character      with    only one leg and    an awful combover    (lower right).

Of course, that's nothing compared to the promotional poster:  http://bit.ly/1epqgYt

Anyway, just wanted to share that.   Talk amongst yourselves.

My personal experiance would contradict your claim. But then it all depends on locality. My local HEB has better prices (and FAR superior qulaity) on produce and meats than the commissary, while the commissary has better prices on canned goods and cereals.

The trick is to compare prices and go where the actual savings are. This includes gas.

164 Regarding the military budget cuts.

Back in 2000, the Cold War was over and we weren't going to face a major conflict again and the future of warfare was supposed to be lighter, nimbler forces with lots of fancy gadgets.

Back in 2006, Donald Rumsfeld was an idiot for thinking that the future of warfare would be lighter, nimbler forces with lots of fancy gadgets and he should have pushed for a larger military.

Now we're back to the very same people arguing that the future of warfare is going to be lighter, nimbler forces with lots of fancy gadgets.

181 Now we're back to the very same people arguing that the future of warfare is going to be lighter, nimbler forces with lots of fancy gadgets. First, we have to decide what our strategic interests are. Our national strategy documents are laundry lists rather than priorities, so we get caught trying to divide a constant/smaller pie among all things. We do have a revolution in the kill capability of our minutions making finding the enemy far more important than flanking the him these days. Of course, the reverse is also true--I'm becoming increasingly concerned about our carriers, for instance. We're not being open and honest about likely adversaries or our ability to be really nimble in the face of a black swan event. What is it that we want to be able to do?

Here, have this lemon bar. The discussion about who do you trust and how do you know who you should trust come the Burning Times is interesting since I was reading a sci-fi book last night where that is a major plot point. There's an alien invasion and part of the plan is that it is impossible to tell who has and who has not had their existence hijacked by an alien. There is no way to tell until the other person suddenly turns and kills you. There's no outward sign, there's no brand or mark or any other indicator. Our Heroine discusses how successful that is because it forces each survivor to be on his/her own and prevents not only organized resistance but basic human interaction. It also forces the survivors to kill each other without the aliens having to get their hands dirty doing it themselves. It's very diabolic and, given the context, very realistic. That's the true destruction of society. That's what will actually tear everything apart. No one can trust anyone else. That's when the center no longer holds.

Hello from a warm night in Sydney

Firstly about the router discussion on previous threads - we have a Netgear and it's working well

The previous one was a Belkin which carked it when we had an ant invasion - the little ratbags invaded the router and bloody well wrecked it!

When I shook it about a zillion ants fell out of it - they were using it as their nest of choice

Secondly I met a couple from Tucson Arizona on Sunday - they had been a cruise around the Pacific and extended their holiday to see a bit of OZ

Very nice people and they were lost - I did my bit of Sydney tourism advice for them!

Thirdly we're going to the footy on Saturday night!!!! Rugby game and I'm taking my gorgeous 17 month old grandchild with me - never to early to introduce the boy to some good old  footy

As long as he's kept well fed with snacks....of course he'll want the wine that I'll be drinking so I'll get a plastic wine glass and fill it up with his apple juice - that'll fool him!

Fourthly - talking about tradies jobs - my dear son chucked in a job in graphic design and has his own business connecting new homes to the main gas line

He usually knocks off work in time to go surfing every day - he lives right near the beach in Surfers Paradise and he will never ever work in an office again he reckons

He is a tradie and that's where the $$$$$$ are.....

Provided that you also sign this Certificate of Humaness and also take out a $3 million surety bond against alien damage.

207 I have a small chain of produce stores in my area. They sell nothing but fresh fruit and produce. Representative prices: 6 large delicious apples $2.00 4 to 8 oranges (depending on where from) $2.00 5 big 'slicing' tomato $2.00 1 head of lettuce $.75 2# strawberries, blueberries $2.00 The stores are cash only. Parking is limited and it is a mob scene at some times of the day. Everything is the quality you'd expect from a grocery store, but at half the price. It's funny, it's the kind of store that Michello Bama would love to have in the 'inner' cities, but they're philly 'burbs only, they apparently have no interest in being in the city.

209 Posted by: Sean Bannion at February 24, 2014 09:01 AM (6T8Ay) I disagree, respectfully of course. There are multiple ways of taking care of the troops and CBD's is just another way (giving some/all of the savings back to them.) IMHO, in some respects this is just another case of confusing "warfare with welfare." We can't get rid of the commissaries because it'll "Cost jobs" or we'll "harm the troops." But why does Scott AFB, which is surrounded by suburbs and has a light rail line that runs to it (ok, "near" it) need a grocery store? (And why should my friend be able to shop there solely because his dad retired from the AF?)

Hi there MWR

He is living a very nice life funded by the shortage of qualified gasfitters on the Gold Coast

Of course he whinges a lot about work encroaching on his surfing time...

His company is the only one doing the work on the coast so work is guaranteed for many years

I'm still waiting for him to offer to pay back the million or so $$ we spent on keeping him alive through his childhood..

216 My Theological tl;dr tl;tl Contribution for today. A seemingly deterministic material universe develops life. Life grows a brain, walks around in organized animal units. Animal mind develops until there is personality, defined by self-and-other identification, the capacity to recognize the implicit morality of a universe of fellow personalities. Personality has the capacity for both the most transcendent personal idealism and the greatest interpersonal love. Combining these qualities, people project Deity, omniscient, omnipotent, and so incomprehensibly all-encompassing that... despite the Creator's uniqueness, Godhood can also, through Trinitization, know fellowship on the highest order; despite the Creator's eternal, unchanging perfection, there is room inside infinity even for raising up imperfect, fallible, but ultimately salvageable children out of the dirt of a partial, evolutionary reality; despite the Creator's infinitude, and God only knows how many sentient fellow in Creation, God loves you, personally, and guides you, yes you, as a good human father loves and guides each unique child; that you can know forgiveness for failure, error, and willful transgression, as you would a child chastened by a wise parent; and in Great Mercy that love would see to it that the death of the flesh is just a transition, a step closer to our divine family and destiny. With thinkers made of meat and static, we can conceive of and understand and appreciate all that. The universe could turn out to be dead and all those ideals just aberrant electricity. But if you were handed a manuscript that had that ending, don't you think you'd circular-file it?

217 Sigh....

Never get me started on the military budget.

From Vic's link:

However, the budget proposal mandates the elimination of the entire fleet of Air Force A-10 attack aircraft...

Yeah, the Army's going to lose its shit over that one, and the AF will back them up. The A-10 is a RELIABLE aircraft. You can blow the wings off the damn thing and still land it.

The Wall Street Journal reported Friday that Hagel would recommend a limit on military pay raises, higher fees for health-care benefits, less generous housing allowances, and a one-year freeze on raises for top military brass.

Want to save some money in the housing allowance budget? Audit the freaking contractors that run housing. Every year the contractors charge us more and provide less services. Yes, this violates the terms of the contract, but somehow they never get punished for it. And it's not just our base, this is a common complaint. They're talking about eliminating stateside commissaries, which would mean we'd pay at least a third more in groceries every week while my husband doesn't get a pay raise. (Btw, it was sure fun to deal with all of this during the gov't shutdown!)

"Personnel costs reflect some 50% of the Pentagon budget and cannot be exempted in the context of the significant cuts the department is facing," Defense Department spokesman Adm. John Kirby told the Journal. "Secretary Hagel has been clear that, while we do not want to, we ultimately must slow the growth of military pay and compensation."

Now juxtapose that quote with this: “We’ve got close to 7 million Americans who have access to health care for the first time because of Medicaid expansion.”– President Obama

The number is fake and yet he's still bragging about getting more people onto the government dole while making sure that military gets kneecapped.

Yeah, I know, super long rant. But this is why I've been telling people for five years not to get me started on the military budget.

218 "Against All Odds" observing Ukraine elections http://tinyurl.com/k2mxef3 that was then "reset" to this is now http://tinyurl.com/krgl4tn 2011 was a long time ago...2004 even a longer time ago http://tinyurl.com/l949psc The glamorous, fiery orator who helped lead Ukraine's revolt against a corrupt election in 2004, was convicted in 2011 of criminally exceeding her powers when she agreed a gas deal with Russia, seen to have disadvantaged Ukraine. She was given a seven-year sentence. Orange revolution 2004 princess also the 2009 gas princess. It would be proper to call her a gas princess who was acting in the interests of Russia when she signed the infamous deal which set up Ukraine for 10 years with ludicrously unfair gas prices," said Bogoslovskaya, who also heads the national parliament's commission to investigate the signing of the 2009 deal. At the time of signing the gas deal, companies controlled by Tymoshenko and her family owed more than $400 million to the Russian Defense Ministry for earlier deals and she was acting under foreign influence." The Russian Foreign Ministry lashed out at the verdict, emphasizing its "obvious anti-Russian implication." Russian/Ukraine gas deals are a century long ongoing process. Deals are nothing new. Who benefits, who is injured? All the difference. Her deal not only paid off her massive personal debts, but raised the price of gas to Ukrainian consumers by 30%. Whereas the recently ousted Ukraine President's deal would lower the Ukrainian's cost of gas by 33%. OF COURSE the Ukraine, being Russia's gas customer, can only arrange what Russia is willing to negotiate. HOWEVER, her deal to raise the cost too conveniently paid off her massive personal debts. A person needs to think. No one is all bad or all good. But when the charismatic leader "is" the embodiment of the political coalition bearing her name? Plenty of room for her malleable changing platform when the identity is the politician rather than a specific agenda. Nothing new, there, either. Today, is Yulia's "reset" button with Russia overcharged Ukrainians no longer her baggage? Just water under the bridge? Never judge a book by its cover. A pretty face and charismatic public speaker with a lifetime of crafting words for public support under her belt, knowing what words rally massive support from the young people. Crafty and manipulative, "with all the best intentions". Hm. Given her full history of fall-outs with allies [Yushchenko], it's best to stand back and reconsider the ball of wax being projected by today's supporters as if crystal clear.

221 In 1976 Yushchenko began a career in banking. In 1983, he became the Deputy Director for Agricultural Credit at the Ukrainian Republican Office of the Soviet Union State Bank. From 1990 to 1993, he worked as vice-chairman and first vice-chairman of the JSC Agroindustrial Bank Ukraina. In 1993, he was appointed Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine (Ukraine's central bank). In 1997, Verkhovna Rada, the parliament of Ukraine, re-appointed him. As a central banker, Yushchenko played an important part in the creation of Ukraine's national currency, the hryvnia, and the establishment of a modern regulatory system for commercial banking. He also successfully overcame a debilitating wave of hyper-inflation that hit the country—he brought inflation down from more than 10,000 percent to less than 10 percent—and managed to defend the value of the currency following the 1998 Russian financial crisis. In August 1998, the Russian government and the Russian Central Bank devalued the ruble and defaulted on its debt. The 1998 Russian economic crisis cost the Ukraine a lot as well: the Hryvnia devaluated by 60%, domestic prices increased by 20%, and the National Bank of Ukraine lost 40% of its gross reserves. In 1998, Yushchenko wrote a thesis entitled "The Development of Supply and Demand of Money in Ukraine" and defended it in the Ukrainian Academy of Banking. He thereby earned a doctorate in economics. In late 2002 Yushchenko, Oleksandr Moroz (Socialist Party of Ukraine), Petro Symonenko (Communist Party of Ukraine) and Yulia Tymoshenko (Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc) issued a joint statement concerning "the beginning of a state revolution in Ukraine". Though the communists stepped out of the alliance and though Symonenko opposed having one single candidate from the alliance in the 2004 presidential election, the other three parties remained allies until July 2006. The Ukraine Parliamentary Crisis 2006: Viktor Yanukovych (as part of the Alliance of National Unity) being chosen as a Prime Minister to replace Yuriy Yekhanurov, who resigned right after the parliamentary elections. Apparently President Viktor Yushchenko did not want Tymoshenko to become Prime Minister. Whilst some parties have nominated over 400 candidates, it was always unlikely that any single Party would elect over 200 members. In order to form a Government, under Ukraine's constitution, parties will need to form a coalition with two or more voting blocks within the first month following the declaration of the polls. The Ukraine Parliamentary Election of 2006 results: http://tinyurl.com/mfbqtw5 The election to the Ukrainian parliament, Verkhovna Rada, was held according to the Party-list proportional election system—that is, in a single nation-wide electoral district with votes being allocated to the political parties or election blocs rather than to individual candidates. The constitution was amended in 2005 following negotiations and agreements during the 2004 presidential elections, abolishing single member-districts and replacing them with an increased multi-member proportional representation. The amended constitution, which took effect on January 1, 2006, also transferred some power from the President to the parliament, making Ukraine a parliamentary-presidential democracy. While acknowledging some organisational problems, most parties and Western observers gave the electoral vote a largely clean bill of health. The outcome was a double humiliation for Viktor Yushchenko, the president, who defeated Yanukovich in a presidential poll re-run after December's 2004 street protests, and later fell out with Tymoshenko, his former Orange Revolution comrade. Yushchenko was widely regarded as the moderate political leader of the anti-Kuchma opposition, since other opposition parties were less influential and had fewer seats in parliament. Since becoming President of Ukraine in 2005, he has been an honorary leader of the Our Ukraine party. From 2001 to 2004, his rankings in popularity polls were higher than those of President Leonid Kuchma. In later public opinion polls, though, his support plummeted from a high of 52% following his election in 2004 to below 4%. On 2 April, 2007 (Ukrainian Political Crisis) the President, Viktor Yushchenko, following a meeting with Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych and Speaker of the Parliament Oleksandr Moroz, signed the first decree dismissing Ukraine's Parliament sparking another political and constitutional crisis in Ukraine. Stalemate between the President and Parliament; each nullying the other. The President orders another Election, for Parliament to fund the election; Parliament refuses to fund the election and proposes to eliminate the Office of President all together; empower Parliament with all authorities, Constitution be damned. The President dismisses Parliament. Tymoshenko: "If the mafia is allowed to continue ruling the country, Ukraine will lose tens of billions of dollars, because Ukraine is being robbed today." -- Given Tymoshenko's own fiscal corruption deal and conviction, was Tymoshenko fingering Yuschenko as central government/banking "mafia"? Political payback for their mutual breach of trust? There's so much more to her than the pretty face from youth and the skills to sway the angst of Youth. And of course, so much more to him than the handsome, successful banker. After all, who was backing Yushchenko all along from without? Note well Britain's stance today in full support of the Occupy Revolution outcome, even while Britain (City of London?) dallies with pulling out of the EU.

222 For the Record I will never be able to put in 20 so once I "retire" I will lose all Commissary benefits. That's until you turn 60 and get the "Naval Forces Retired" ID card. Once you start drawing your USNR retired pay it doesn't matter if you did 24years or 120 months total. You will be an ORF either way.

223 Re: unbelievable numbers: even if they were true, this leaves out the fact that the crappy Obama economy is a major cause of people being driven to use these entitlements in the first place. The administration just hopes they don't put 2 and 2 together.

The Obama administration is like a fire department that intentionally starts fires, in order to make itself appear useful in putting them out. Problem is, as in California where most physicians won't accept OCare, is that they can't even put the fires out.
