Boehner needs to crawl out of the pool of his own barf in his family's dogshit bar after setting them up for all his cronies yesterday to buy votes and appoint a select committee for the IRS. In addition to it being a sure fire political winner, this is the best chance to cut the nuts off the most abusive agency of the state which has existed in my not short lifetime and that fucking rummy is doing his best to squander it.

8: "RNC backed candidate wins NC Republican primary in a crowed field. All the liberal press is crowing over the loss of conservative candidates and wins by the establishment. It just proves how hard it is to beat the well corporate financed system. We need a new Party I think."
I was listening to Bill Bennet on the way to work this morning. He had the NC Repub Chair on. They were all ahppy about this being a win for conservatives that the "Tea Partiers" can get behind.
I don't know enough about NC politics, but anytime a Repub party chair is happy, that makes me want to feel the opposite.

Nixon was a worthless fuck but not the way the donks would have you believe; they hated him for going after that commie pile of shit Alger Hiss. What they overlook is that he did their bidding in forming the EPA and instituting wage and price controls, the most braindead economic policy ever and something you'd expect to happen in the Soviet Union or some third world shithole.

>>CA introduces bill to tax motorists by the mile like OR and WA. Note, there are no plans to eliminate the gas tax. They are not replacing a tax, they are adding a new tax. Over the years I have noted that old taxes NEVER go away.
.
.
.One tax actually did eventually go away, the 1 cent phone tax to finance the Spanish American War in 1898. That tax finally went away in 2005. It had morphed into various other forms over the years but was the same tax.

76: "That was back when I could still watch Fox News."
Oddly enough, O'Reilly was the canary in the mine for me with regard to Fox News.
I used to enjoy his show because he would report on stories that no one else would cover. He actually seemed to have an interest in "helping the folks" before that term grew tarnished and cliche.
But around the time TFG got elected, he just seemed more and more like a cranky old man who has no idea what he's talking about. His ratings have inflated his ego beyond his ability to manage.
And the rest of Fox seems to have followed suit in the fear (as far as I can tell) of being called racists. Fair and balanced seems to be more important than truth.
Although I must admit I still like to watch the girls on The Five.

My response: "I agree with you 100%. We need to increase the size of our military by a factor of at least 10. We need not just a 2 ocean navy but a 4 ocean navy with 50 carrier battle groups as well as a standing army of at least 3 million men. And if a Darfur or Srebrenica happens, we should invade that country, take it over, declare martial law and impose our culture on them. Summary execution for anyone engaged in insurrection."

Megyn Kelly showed a few clips from the student protest. It looked like half of them were Muslims. Half of the women shown were wearing hijabs. She gently argued with some student punk who said he put the group together to protest. He said he freely believes in free speech (and didn't spontaneously combust, which was odd), and believes in allowing all opinions. He and his group were just protesting because Condi Rice was a "war criminal" who needs to be brought up on charges.

Boner won by a pretty hefty margin. I found it to be disappointing. Maybe I should look at it a different way, but after all the crap he's pulled, his relentless pushing for amnesty, after his ridiculous behavior in mocking his fellow R's, I would've thought...maybe, just maybe...the people in his district would've been ready to kick him to the curb.

Graham has been blanketing the airwaves (radio and TV) with his "conservative bonafides" commercials for quite a while.
Vote Lindsay Graham in 2014...staying "conservative" just until he can plow through the primary. Then he can go back to bad-mouthing us.

If Boehner had been primaried out, the odds are overwhelming that the person replacing him in his seat would not replace him as Speaker of the House.
Having the Speaker of the House be from your district is a psychological feather in the cap for voters. Even when the district is otherwise pretty much nowheresville.
And, it means that your district is at the head of the queue when the pork is being divvied up. I can walk you through Pelosi's district in San Francisco and point out a long string of costly federal projects that would not have happened here except for her tenure as Speaker.
That makes Speakers essentially invulnerable to primary challenges as a practical matter. Sad but true.

It looks like a hefty margin. But consider that he typically has won the primary with percentages 80%'s previously. With pretty much zero campaigning. Hell his campaigns for the general elections in November make Winteregg's effort in the primary look like an all out media blitz. He campaigned heavily. Constant mailings, commercials all the time on tv and radio. He's never done that before. So with doing more than he ever has before to keep the pressure on he has still lost support in the district but it not exactly easy to get a 40% shift in support.

What's this with Tom Cotton's campaign manager (former Mitch McConnell manager) donating big bucks to run ads against Sasse for Senate in Nebraska?

Maybe this is why God told his people to not eat organs? Seems pretty sensible to me.

Because they're intent on the chastity of _Islamic_ women. Women who aren't of the faith, kuffar women, are open season and fair game for any sort of sexual exploitation by Muslim men. Read the Koran. It's stuffed full of kidnap and rape and enslavement of women, all of it sanctioned and encouraged by Allah.

Isn't that the truth? Drudge headlined one of those just a couple weeks ago. Then, the real horror hits as you realize CBS, NBC, ABC haven't given one bloody minute to the FOIA emails uncovered or the Gowdy committee being put together. The msm is so corrupt and in bed with the WH it's frightening. We're in a very bad place.

This is why they punish rape victims. Worse if they fight back (like the one in Iran who will be hanged for hurting her rapist).

It has always been a phony religion. It is a political Party that advocates violence and really has nothing to do with religion.

This is why I keep banging the drum for impeachment. Even though, posited from the start, it's impossible to actually remove Obama. That's not the point. The point is to have the formal proceedings in the House.
Because the media can't NOT cover something that big.
And there's nothing that says an impeachment proceeding has to be quick. They can be dragged out interminably long, with damaging new revelations coming out every day of the proceedings.
Clinton's impeachment, which was over a _vastly_ simpler and smaller matter than Obama's abuses, meant that the Clinton White House basically ground to a stop while Billy Jeff was huddled with lawyers and friendly Congresscritters.
"Grind to a stop" does not strike me as a bad idea for this administration either.

Although I am much more pessimistic with regard to how this will be spun by the media, and thus the populace that eats it up, I am unable to find fault with your idea.

One hundred years ago, Ohio was the most flood-prone place in the semi-civilized world. Columbus almost totally inundated in 1910, Dayton a couple of years later. Cincinnati flooded in 1936 and '37. All due to the uprecedented climate change of the time. There were similar deluges in almost every city near water. We engineered solutions for that, and then let it all go to shit while we frittered away the tax receipts on everything else. And now we have floods. Guess why.
"Remember the promises you made in the attic." Dayton used to be fiercely proud of the Mad River flood control project. Epic engineering. Cities moved.

I've gotten that line of BS before from Islamists, and their non-Islamic sympathizers (the dopey "Coexist" bumper sticker crowd).
Suffice it to say it is a premise that collapses right quick when subjected to any sort of elementary skeptical questioning.
"You say Allah is the same as the Christian God. Yet you say Allah has no son. But the role of Jesus as the Son of God is absolutely central to Christianity. How again can these two possibly be identical?"

But this assumes that the House actually wants to impede the statist agenda and stop Obama and the rest of them. They do not, in fact it's quite the opposite, they are fully part of the statist machine, support it and like it. They know their place - that is to work as they are, splitting the conservative vote and providing cover for the Democrats. And they are very happy with the power this gives them, which is significant mind you, and if it comes down to it they will fight like rabid wolves to keep that power.
It's a well oiled machine, all the parts are there for a reason and after all these years they have become very adept at what they do. This is why people like Cruz and Palin are so thoroughly hated by the media, because they pose a threat to the status quo; this by the way is the very government that the anti-federalists knew would come to pass.
But you all know that, if only more of we-the-people understood this things would be very different. Of course this is why the statist has built the public education system and the Hollywood media empire, of yea and the welfare state.
How can the conservative fight such a monstrosity? If only there was a New World one could escape to, I think by this point I would certainly give that a go.
