I think the young are too indoctrinated, the poor are too dependent, the rich are too connected, the minorities are too resentful, and the dems are too good at pressing all the right buttons to make the LIV pull the lever for more of the same. Meanwhile, the R's know all this and while they do not have power to change the course of gov, they do have the power to keep down threats from the right.

59 This is from the AP. The A-fucking-P!!! SCOAMF has political units in the bureaucracy to keep them in line. (IRS anyone?) WASHINGTON (AP) -- A unit run by President Barack Obama's political staff inside the Environmental Protection Agency operates illegally as a "rogue law enforcement agency" that has blocked independent investigations by the EPA's inspector general for years, a top investigator told Congress. The assistant EPA inspector general for investigations, Patrick Sullivan, was expected to testify Wednesday before a House oversight committee about the activities of the EPA's little-known Office of Homeland Security. The office of about 10 employees is overseen by EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy's office, and the inspector general's office is accusing it of impeding its independent investigations into employee misconduct, computer security and external threats, including compelling employees involved in cases to sign non-disclosure agreements. "Under the heavy cloak of 'national security,' the Office of Homeland Security has repeatedly rebuffed and refused to cooperate with the OIG's ongoing requests for information or cooperation," Sullivan wrote in prepared testimony obtained by The Associated Press. "This block unquestionably has hamstrung the Office of Inspector General's ability to carry out its statutory mandate to investigate wrongdoing of EPA employees."

They want no secular education and particularly not for girls, but selling schoolgirls into sexual slavery is just like what the conservative Baptist Church down the street is promulgating,-correct. left wingers?.

78 Common Core advocates have long said it is a State initiative. The corrupt Obamanite regime begs to differ. On Friday, the U. S. Department of Education sent a letter to Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction Glenda Ritz, threatening to revoke the state’s waiver from No Child Left Behind – because Indiana exited the Common Core national standards last month. http://tinyurl.com/ov583yq Posted by: Vic at May 07, 2014 06:49 AM (T2V/1) This is not news to anyone who followed this from the beginning. NCLB is still in effect. It was never repealed. One of the incentives that the Feds offered to encourage states to adopt it was to waive the requirements of NCLB. The implicit understanding was that, should you chose to not participate, you would still fall under NCLB. The "state initiative" concept came about because the National Governor's association decided the standards needed to be revised because they were coming under increasing pressure from business and higher ed to produce graduates capable of succeeding at the next stage of their lives. The Feds liked the idea and glommed onto it.

76: "That was back when I could still watch Fox News."

Oddly enough, O'Reilly was the canary in the mine for me with regard to Fox News.

I used to enjoy his show because he would report on stories that no one else would cover. He actually seemed to have an interest in "helping the folks" before that term grew tarnished and cliche.

But around the time TFG got elected, he just seemed more and more like a cranky old man who has no idea what he's talking about. His ratings have inflated his ego beyond his ability to manage.

And the rest of Fox seems to have followed suit in the fear (as far as I can tell) of being called racists. Fair and balanced seems to be more important than truth.

Although I must admit I still like to watch the girls on The Five.

And to think, that's the best which the business of Ivy League propagandist (public relations) graduates can come up with these days. Chalk revisionism up as more old news. It doesn't matter what shape the turd is today, it's content is sh!t. As for science? There's the rub since an agenda "is" the established dogma, "settled science". As if we ignore that settled sediment consisting of dead remains from previous life forms; and that "settled" doesn't align with the constant motion and flux in "change" as everything is moving at all times -- whether we perceive it or not from our grubby human "powers" of perception. So again, as for science? Give science its innate liberty to explore, and to shed false pretenses sold as if a theory is a fact, resulting in toxic dead ends. And when false theories sold by the most prestigious institutions as "truths" require more false theories to explain deceit as trustworthy? Don't stay stuck on stupid. There are many great thinkers who have themselves realized many verifiable truths proven decades later by the most distinguished institutions on the cutting edge. Instead of tuning into the same old hype of distracting and toxic mind-filth, and instead of pretending that our little bubble called Earth is all that exists, we'd do better to THINK and see through the matter, recognizing context within context. Words? Consider that the word "universal" was the fashionable adjective in parlance; ex: "universally accepted" still in use. Despite years of denigration due to contrasting ideologies, "Global" has become the latest fad. Yesterday we read "global humiliation". Funny terminology index, from macro to micro, losing sight the closer to ourselves we find thought (expectations skew). Forest/Trees.

The driver said he was lost and wanted to get to the very address where Company "G" was billeted. When I approached the Jeep I recognized it was driven by a very drunk Captain Bass, our company commander. Captain Bass was too much regular army to be well liked by the troops. He felt rank was everything, officers were part of royalty, and enlisted men were scum. In my full dress suit, I doubt if he could have recognized me even if it was daylight and he were sober. I introduced myself and assured the captain I could drive him safely to our billet. Very pleased and relieved, the captain moved over and let me take the wheel. What a sight! If only General Patton could have seen two drunks, driving around the streets of Speyer, one a Captain of Company "G" and the other a buck private, out of uniform but in full dress evening attire. My turn at the wheel didn't last long. I came to what I thought was a corner, turned down a dead end alley and crashed head-on into the side of a building. Neither of us was hurt, but Captain Bass said it was time for him to take over the driving. Somehow he got us back to our billet, and we both agreed we would never discuss the incident. There was no need for me to discuss it anyway. I doubt if I could have ever gotten anyone to believe that, while formally dressed, I had a private chauffeur home and that my chauffeur was none other than our chicken-shit company commander, the hated Captain Bass.

Gotta wonder wth the RNC really has in mind. "Disliking Mexican Food is RACIST" I'll say it again. For a Republican National Leader to announce that he does not like Mexican Food is CATEGORICALLY STUPID. Boehner is not only stupid, he's ignorant. And those two characteristics meld into bigotry if not cut short. Politics aside, seriously, AS IF Boehner knows the entire cuisine featured in every region of that massive and beautiful country. Granted, I thought I "knew" Mexican food, being from the Southwest. I was pleasantly surprised during the 1970s to find the most subtle dishes served in Mexico City's finest restaurants. Hardly the cuisine that poor immigrants survive on either in Mexico or the US, to say the very least. As if the oligarchy eat what scraps are left for the peons -- THAT critique applies to Boehner. If it's the cheap overly processed refried beans with lard from a can that Boehner doesn't like, let the hyphenated-ethnic Americans who originated south of the border say that calling a fart stinky is racist. The joke will be on the dumb and dumber. As if all beans are "Mexican" food. As if all farts result from beans, refried or not. (Ask GHWBush about his antipathy for broccoli.) If it's Taco Bell menu that gives Boehner indigestion, be specific, Boner. Attack that food chain like the idjit you are. Play the demagogue regulator you love. Indigestion is racist. -- Tell that to Big Pharma -- ban all advertising for racist gas and stool remedies. Sh!t is racist. Ban toilets, too. Urinals Only.

Vote Lindsay Graham in 2014...staying "conservative" just until he can plow through the primary.  Then he can go back to bad-mouthing us.

If Boehner had been primaried out, the odds are overwhelming that the person replacing him in his seat would not replace him as Speaker of the House.

Having the Speaker of the House be from your district is a psychological feather in the cap for voters. Even when the district is otherwise pretty much nowheresville.

And, it means that your district is at the head of the queue when the pork is being divvied up. I can walk you through Pelosi's district in San Francisco and point out a long string of costly federal projects that would not have happened here except for her tenure as Speaker.

That makes Speakers essentially invulnerable to primary challenges as a practical matter. Sad but true.

It looks like a hefty margin.  But consider that he typically has won the primary with percentages 80%'s previously.  With pretty much zero campaigning. Hell his campaigns for the general elections in November make Winteregg's effort in the primary look like an all out media blitz.  He campaigned heavily.  Constant mailings, commercials all the time on tv and radio.  He's never done that before.  So with doing more than he ever has before to keep the pressure on he has still lost support in the district but it not exactly easy to get a 40% shift in support.

So saying that he doesn't like what an entire nation of people eat is rude, even if he doesn't like it, because he is a politician -- not a private citizen -- and he belongs to the political party that propagandizes its own members the message of how IMPORTANT wooing Hispanic votes is to electoral victory. Because they're intent on the chastity of _Islamic_ women. Women who aren't of the faith, kuffar women, are open season and fair game for any sort of sexual exploitation by Muslim men. Read the Koran. It's stuffed full of kidnap and rape and enslavement of women, all of it sanctioned and encouraged by Allah.

204 Boehner has been in office so fucking long that he has knowing what to do to appeal to the voters in his district almost as part of his DNA.  The appointment of the special committee was timed to take the wind out of the sails of any conservative primary challengers who would whale on him for being too squishy in dealing with the scandals of the JEF.  Incumbency has huge advantages even in times of unrest.  It would have taken a major sex scandal for that cocksucker to lose in the primary and, judging from how sloshed he looks all the time, that wasn't gonna happen.

It has always been a phony religion.  It is a political Party that advocates violence and really has nothing to do with religion.

230 "Then, the real horror hits as you realize CBS, NBC, ABC haven't given one bloody minute to the FOIA emails uncovered or the Gowdy committee being put together. The msm is so corrupt and in bed with the WH it's frightening. We're in a very bad place."

This is why I keep banging the drum for impeachment. Even though, posited from the start, it's impossible to actually remove Obama. That's not the point. The point is to have the formal proceedings in the House.

Because the media can't NOT cover something that big.

And there's nothing that says an impeachment proceeding has to be quick. They can be dragged out interminably long, with damaging new revelations coming out every day of the proceedings.

Clinton's impeachment, which was over a _vastly_ simpler and smaller matter than Obama's abuses, meant that the Clinton White House basically ground to a stop while Billy Jeff was huddled with lawyers and friendly Congresscritters.

"Grind to a stop" does not strike me as a bad idea for this administration either.

233 Other religions are about controlling one's own urges. Islam is about remaking the world in order to protect people from their urges. So they're not required to have any self-control themselves. That's why it's always someone else's fault.

Although I am much more pessimistic with regard to how this will be spun by the media, and thus the populace that eats it up, I am unable to find fault with your idea.

235 For Christ's sake people, those 300 girls are on the market for $12 each. Just buy them. For the price of sending one fully-equipped US trooper for a month, you can put paid to the whole deal.

One hundred years ago, Ohio was the most flood-prone place in the semi-civilized world. Columbus almost totally inundated in 1910, Dayton a couple of years later. Cincinnati flooded in 1936 and '37. All due to the uprecedented climate change of the time. There were similar deluges in almost every city near water. We engineered solutions for that, and then let it all go to shit while we frittered away the tax receipts on everything else. And now we have floods. Guess why.

"Remember the promises you made in the attic." Dayton used to be fiercely proud of the Mad River flood control project. Epic engineering. Cities moved.

Topless Book Club: can anyone explain the methodology of the double-nipple and chain thing going on there? Is it all functional? Stem cells, alien tissue?

I've gotten that line of BS before from Islamists, and their non-Islamic sympathizers (the dopey "Coexist" bumper sticker crowd).

Suffice it to say it is a premise that collapses right quick when subjected to any sort of elementary skeptical questioning.

"You say Allah is the same as the Christian God. Yet you say Allah has no son. But the role of Jesus as the Son of God is absolutely central to Christianity. How again can these two possibly be identical?"

But this assumes that the House actually wants to impede the statist agenda and stop Obama and the rest of them.  They do not, in fact it's quite the opposite, they are fully part of the statist machine, support it and like it.  They know their place - that is to work as they are, splitting the conservative vote and providing cover for the Democrats.  And they are very happy with the power this gives them, which is significant mind you, and if it comes down to it they will fight like rabid wolves to keep that power.

It's a well oiled machine, all the parts are there for a reason and after all these years they have become very adept at what they do.  This is why people like Cruz and Palin are so thoroughly hated by the media, because they pose a threat to the status quo; this by the way is the very government that the anti-federalists knew would come to pass.

But you all know that, if only more of we-the-people understood this things would be very different.  Of course this is why the statist has built the public education system and the Hollywood media empire, of yea and the welfare state.

How can the conservative fight such a monstrosity?  If only there was a New World one could escape to, I think by this point I would certainly give that a go.

247 FenelonSpoke, thanks for the Okla. gallery. I'll try to remember to find that again when I get to the desktop with the big screen. For having no rugged peaks or oceans, Okla. has quite a variety of environments. Spans from the great Ark-Miss drainage area across the rising prairie to the foothills of the Rockies (almost, at the far end of the panhandle), from the green hills and streams of the NE to the dry grasslands of the SW. I've been trying to figure the best way to post Milady's nature pix, to encourage her to do more. I like seeing my native state through her eyes, figure others might as well. Since I don't have one of her Okla. landscapes handy, she has fun doing super closeups, so, here's one I stole a while back. http://mindfulwebworks.com/doodles/garden-of-the-heart
