110 Things here haven't been going well since Dec. Ellen's brother Carter died on the 22nd. due to complications from a heart valve replacement in Nov.
Ellen and I drove down to LA on Xmas morning to pick up his dog Poochie. 11 yr old Rhodesian Ridgeback and Pit mix with a bump on her belly. Bump turned out to be malignant and she will be gone in a month or two. Next up on the hit parade, her sister wiped out while skiing and broke her hip. She is recovering with a walker but won't be strapping on the skis anytime soon.

March 11 her ex fell into a coma and he died on Mar 26.
On the bright side, Katniss is getting fat from all the gophers she is killing. We'd have a pyramid of skulls shes brought us as trophys if I wasn't collecting them for disposal.

It becomes it's own thing and is hard to tell what's in the drink. Matches Japanese flavors nicely. Well worth trying. Give it a whirl. I had a bike come in the shop last week where the owner snapped the spark plug clean off in the head leaving only the threads. Then he broke an EZ out off in the threaded section that remained. I had to pull the top end off the motor to fix it and to make sure there was no crap in the cylinder. He is a shining text book example of a no anti-seize mofo that shouldn't be touching tools.

DC may be a crime-ridden shithole, but it's cleaned up it's reputation over the past twenty or so years, adding thin veneer of respectability. Now it attracts lots of young professionals and the amenities which they like, which politicians lobbyists also like. They want to go to nice restaurants, nightclubs, and chase after twenty-something trim fresh off the plane from a midwestern university. If they think that will go away once DC achieves statehood (and it will), then there will be resistance to granting it.
