Lois Lerner Email Discusses IRS Criminal Investigation of Targeted Groups
— Ace

And coordinating with the DoJ and FEC, based on partisan Democrat Sheldon Whitehorse's assertion that Tea Party aligned groups had "lied" on their application forms.

From: Lerner Lois G

Sent: Wednesday, May 18, 2013, 5:30 PM

To: Flax Nikole C

Cc: Grant Joseph H; Marks Nancy J

Subject: DOJ call

Importance: High

I got a call today from Richard Pilger Director Elections Crimes Branch at DOJ, I know him from contacts from my days there. He wanted to know who at IRS the DOJ folks could talk to about Sen. Whitehouse idea at the hearing that DOJ could piece together false statement cases about applicants who “lied” on their 1024s –saying they weren’t planning on doing political activity, and then turning around and making large visible political expenditures. DOJ is feeling like it needs to respond, but want to talk to the right folks at IRS to see whether there are impediments from our side and what, if any damage this might do to IRS programs.

Flax responded:

I think we should do it – also need to include CI [Criminal Investigation Division], which we can help coordinate. Also, we need to reach out to FEC. Does it make sense to consider including them in this or keep it separate?"

25 Here's how that went. Cocktail party chatter about further fucking over TP groups led someone to wish they could get the DOJ on their asses. Someone else said they'd probably need an inquiry from a Senator to get one started. Someone then called Sheldon and the next day he finds himself deeply troubled and starts asking questions. Lerner midwifes the segue from cocktail party to DOJ.

In the book I recommended on the prior thread, the author shows nazism as a case study in how the r-selected (bunny rabbit) left attempts to gain control of the K-selected (wolf) soldiers, so that they can more easily pit them against other K-selected groups and thereby decrease the overall competition.  The Nazis used the nationalist, patriotic fervor of the K-selected population against them, and radicalized them against another K-selected, capitalistic "threat."

Seriously, everyone.  Read that book.

59 When they won't obey the law, we are foolish to obey the law. Kevin Williams (National Review Online) just made an excellent argument regarding how Totalitarian regimes have always used "The Law" to oppress dissidents. He points out that it was once illegal for people to hide runaway slaves. When a Law is immoral, it compels no obedience. The secularization of the law is how we got to the point where no one sees "The Law" as an impediment to their behavior. There is no longer a universal and relatively objective standard of Morality in these United States. This condition is the seed of our current legion of dilemmas.

69 This is exactly why the statists want to create lots of confusion about rule of law -- everyone knows leftwing groups also break these rules, but DOJ has nearly unbounded discretion in terms of who they go after. They're making us all lawbreakers, a la "Three Felonies a Day," because then it's really easy to control us. At the risk of being an extremist, I'm going to say this again -- I know the mechanics of secession would be very painful, but I don't know how much longer the statists will allow us to coexist with them. If we just let them build their Blue Paradise with no guns, severe limits on free speech, reduced food choice, and green energy, they can make up all the phony statistics they want to prove it's all working great while we're toasting them from the Independent Republic of Greater Texas with it's 4% unemployment, low crime, and 5% annual economic growth. Let free markets in government bloom.

I think this is what animates a lot of the LIB crowd.  We know  that Lerner will walk away from this, just as Hairy Reid will die in his bed   rich and happy.  No matter what corruption, crime or outright murder is committed, our ruling class gets away with it, and, moreover, prospers.  The only way any of these bastards will suffer - at all - is if the entire system collapses and they are at the mercy of an armed and pissed off public.

It is, I believe, the gut-wrenching knowledge, the near certainty, that we will fight and scrape and struggle the rest of our lives in order to keep our heads above water while the Pelosis and Reids and Boehners of the world grow fat on our taxes that is fueling the LIB mentality.  We're growing (certainly I am) from an attitude of "I want these bastards defeated" to "I want these bastards hanging from a lamppost."

115 I wonder if Lois Lerner was a heavy marijuana user ...

For the first time, researchers at Northwestern University have analyzed the relationship between casual use of marijuana and brain changes – and found that young adults who used cannabis just once or twice a week showed significant abnormalities in two important brain structures.

The studyÂ’s findings, to be published Wednesday in the Journal of Neuroscience, are similar to those of past research linking chronic, long-term marijuana use with mental illness and changes in brain development.

Dr. Hans Breiter, co-senior study author, said he was inspired to look at the effects of casual marijuana use after previous work in his lab found that heavy cannabis use caused similar brain abnormalities to those seen in patients with schizophrenia.

... I'm sure that Legislators will be looking to create yet another set of bathrooms for those with abnormal brains.

Really nice how those 3 guys have stayed together all these decades without killing each other, succumbing to drug abuse, etc. They just come across as 3 really great Canadian guys who really care about each other and their music and their fans. In the film, Gene Simmons says that when on tour with them, Kiss would be having orgies in their hotel rooms while RUSH stayed in their rooms reading books and going to bed early. Even if you're not a big fan, it's a great flick. Really well done.

It's hard to take secessionists or the idea of state secession seriously.  For one thing, these ideological, right/left divisions don't conveniently align with state boundaries. For another, few people outside Texas hold bone-deep state allegiances, for lack of a better term.  Most people consider themselves first and foremost Americans, not Buckeyes or Hoosiers or whatever. We have cars, now.

Further, there is no single issue (such as slavery prior to the Civil War) over which a compromise cannot be reached.  Lastly, any attempt at secession by any state or group of states will result in a military response from the federal government--with majority support from the American public.

So cut it out, please. Secession as an idea or movement is a nonstarter.

As long as some insist on treating political opposition as anything but an existential threat, it is inevitable that said opposition will eventually usher in collapse.  They need to be marginalized and shunned, not treated with diplomacy.  Diplomacy means they've won.  They need to be insulted, ostracized, and ridiculed.

This is not to shame them, for they have none.  This is to trigger the deepest fear of any leftist - of being excluded and cast out of society.  For without the ability to be a parasite, they know they cannot survive.

I know people don't want to hear it, but the role that the legal profession plays in today's society is that of uber-legislator or uber-executive. You ask if they will be held responsible. By whom? Their lifelong friends from law school? Even non-lawyer Democrats can get into trouble for scandals (see Filner, for instance). But the lawyers just don't give up because they know they don't have to.

184 " Secession as an idea or movement is a nonstarter."

Disagree very much with that. Depends on the first state to go. IMHO that would be Texas. Oklahoma will soon follow, then followed very shortly by Mississippi, Kansas, and Wyoming.

South Dakota and North Dakota will next to cut off any and all thought of fighting another civil war along a north south axis.

Then, I can't think of any Red State that would want to stay in this version of a federal union. IMO all this will take place within a very short period of time. Say a week to ten days.

If it is fought at all it will be along a east west and west east axis. Just not enough federal troops to cover all that territory.

Being from Illinois and still living here, I can say that at least my part of it would jump at the chance to rid ourselves of D.C., Springfield, and Chicago. But mostly Chicago.

As you troll for negative responses, keep this in mind:

1) They will engineer a collapse, and then eliminate themselves because they simply cannot complete in a resource-limited environment.

2) Treating these people as equals gives them exactly what they want, which is acceptance by the in-group.  It enables them to retain power and continue manipulative, corrupt, and parasitic behavior.  And they will do, say, and construct anything they need in order to do this.

So stop letting them. They are traitors, and should be treated accordingly.

They will create the collapse that kills the least able to survive such a collapse.

They are hoping to establish conditions to maintain control after that collapse, by pitting some of the able (police, military) against others.  They are therefore isolated from the conflict, and cause the numbers of those with superior survivability characteristics to decline, while they maintain control.

Collapse will cull their numbers without any conservative needing to raise a hand. However, it must be accompanied by bringing the corrupt to justice, or they will find a way to manipulate the crisis to their advantage.

That manipulation almost always involves finding a way to pit the able against the able.

(Asshole Bryan Ross did an entire 1 hour story on this topic.) I suppose the whole point revolves around how many people are where and doing what. If entire states leave, that's one thing. If on the other hand, one presumes the most minimal level of "Wolverine" style response, and assuming the most minimal participation by the most hard core components of the population, that is still a pretty damn effective disruption and would likely have highly asymmetrical consequences. The likely response would be Marshall law and further abuses to the populace, which like the exploits of the "Swamp Fox" would likely only stir more opposition.

Posted by: Lincolntf at April 16, 2014 02:45 PM (ZshNr) I'm having difficulty understanding how you aren't grasping the concept. Where is our dominant opposition? In the cities. What happens if you cut supplies to the cities? Riots, fire, death destruction. Who's getting killed? Our opposition, their supporters. Who's having to tie up manpower addressing the situation? Our opposition. More of a French Underground than an armed conflict. An armed conflict would be a very foolish idea unless you had the manpower and resources for it, which *IS* a possibility, though one I wouldn't count on. When we fought the Brits, we didn't fight them mano a mano. We hid behind rocks and trees and shot at them from cover.

Pretty good plan! Then after the cities have been destroyed by internal strife caused by non-blockade, non-siege, log-jamming techniques you round up the survivors, especially television producers, and take care of the problem. We could call it the "final solution" because after you've eliminated the problem, what do you have? A solution!

298 I can't imagine no one has been barrelled yet.

As I've stated before, I think things go on auto-correct a long, long time before we ever get to secession or guerrilla warfare. The pont will come, and maybe even before JEF is out of office, that the bond market and the Fed can't keep the massive deficits going. It may be triggered by an international crisis or natural disaster, but the writing is already on the wall. Washington can't give everything to everybody any more, and the cities are the most vulnerable.

I predict that the red states, in general, will do just fine relative to the blue states. There will be civil unrest in the big Eastern cities and California, as prices for the basic stuff (food, energy) go through the roof. We need to be prepared to accept refugees who have the gumption to get up and move to somewhere where there is work.

In the end, we will revise the compact, perhaps through a Convention of the States and perhaps through other processes, but the balance will tilt more toward the states and away from Washington. The next 20 years will be interesting.
