I actually put a little effort (minimum, mind you) into keeping track of the terminology of the "Transwhatever" movement, mainly out of morbid curiosity. But "trans-feminine" is a new one to me.

That "community" can't even keep its language straight between themselves and frequently attack one another over lack of sensitivity without any hint of irony, or even sanity.

Who would have thought that reducing language to meaninglessness (gender=social construct) would have resulted in such confusion?

I took my car in to have the body work done after the accident, and apparently the place is stupid and decided not to do any work on it because they didn't know why it was there (I dropped it off before it was open.) Nevermind that I called them and set up an appointment a week ago. And now I'm out of rental car time. Fucking amateurs. I almost didn't use the company the insurance suggested (it's not my insurance though) but I said "meh, this will be easier." Wrong, very very very much wrong.

Well, you'd have to have a beef with Madison et al because the income tax falls under the general taxing power of the US Congress.

The 16A didn't create the income tax. All it does is remove the apportionment requirement the SCOTUS placed (erroneously, actually) on incomes derived from property. There were income taxes prior to the 16A being ratified.

Being opposed to the income tax is a valid argument, but it's not by definition a conservative one.

If the government is superior, the individual would need to cede his right to privacy for the good of the collective.

And I don't believe in summer ending on Labor Day either. Sept. 30th for me. I've never understood why summer is supposed to end when the yoots go back to school. For those of us without school-age kids, it makes no sense. The best weather of the whole year here in western NY is in September. Warm sunny days, the extreme humidity we get in July and August has mostly abated, most of the bugs are gone. It's my favorite month, weather-wise.

Still privacy concerns...why should the Federal Government know what I'm buying and who/where I'm buying it from? And the Fed's footprint in operations of the businesses forced to collect the tax will be even more significant than it is now.

Besides, the income tax isn't a 4A issue. That's been settled a number of times, from Flint v. Stone Tracy Co to Boozer v. Commissioner.

Locally, businesses collect sales tax, send it to the state, which parses it back to the city. It's the state that grants sales tax licenses. If businesses collect sales tax, pass that along to county and city, city sends the portion to county, county to state, states to Fed.... I see advantages... licensing could be local, accompanying, e.g. business licence. If the Fed has the sales license power, or payment are made to the Fed... I see problems... I r no geenyess like our gummint, tho, so all I know is that I dont know nothin'.

Simply eliminate raw materials and their associated production facilities under the guise of "environment". Of course, countries such as China, Brazil, etc. are much more embracing of mining. I think 97% of the rare earth minerals used in cell phones, tech equipment, etc. is controlled by China, the USA has one rare earth mine that is limited in production. So we continue down the unicorn path of lost production and manufacturing capabilities while our enemies ramp up production and corner markets.

214 In regards to Coldwater Creek, as a past customer of theirs, I have been amazed at the freefall their product line has experienced in quality and design. I was a customer many years ago, when they were a small boutique company in Sandpoint, ID. They used to send out small, beautiful catalogs with high end professional and casual clothing, gift items, real stone jewelry, art, etc. The catalogs were beautifully written. They were one of the first companies to show their clothes in a catalog on a model , but with the model erased out of the photo so only the clothing was observable. Then, in the early 2000s, they decided to try to compete with the big chain women's clothing stores. They started opening stores in every mall in America, every discount strip mall, every outlet place. They built a huge distribution center in WV, their catalogs went from 20 small pages to 50 pages, everything was imported, the catalogs became the same boring description of this shirt or those pants as one would find in Penny's and worse, the clothing was no longer boutique quality. It was Land's End or Penny's with more color and some fringe or extra pockets. They would have huge inventories in the stores of 20 different styles of black trousers, with seriously declining quality. Pricing would stay at $125 for a pair of pants, which you knew would be on sale within a week when you get a coupon for their "spring celebration" or their "birthday fling". They trained their customers to wait for sales and to buy stuff at the end of the season(two months before winter ends) when it is marked 40-50% off. Oddly, I was just in a CC over the weekend. Walked in, walked around, walked out. The store had a giant sale going, and was filled with blue haired 80 year olds. I was shocked and didn't know about the bankruptcy at that time. I'm not shocked about the bankruptcy at all....
