30 >>Louisiana, where the Democratic incumbent Mary Landrieu is running, may be the easiest opportunity. LandrieuÂ’s fundamentals are similar in most respects to PryorÂ’s: Her fundraising has been fine, but otherwise sheÂ’s running against the tide in what has become a very red state, and her moderate overall voting record may be undermined by her role in passing the Affordable Care Act in 2010. The difference is that LandrieuÂ’s most likely opponent, Rep. Bill Cassidy, has yet to pull ahead in the polls, which instead show a race thatÂ’s roughly tied. I gotta believe that it's just name recognition. The predictions have already gone from thinking Landrieu will win to "tie" so I bet it will continue to swing.

Ohio GOP Gov. John Kasich is defending his decision to expand Medicaid in the state, saying the move is a logical reflection of conservative values. "I think it's entirely consistent with conservative and Republican philosophy, and I'm really pleased we're doing it," Kasich, who's often mentioned as a possible 2016 presidential contender, said in an interview on the "Fox News Sunday" program.

Kasich also pushed back against the notion that his adoption of the Medicaid expansion defied the wishes of Ohio's Republican legislature. "Had there been a vote, I think it would have passed," he said.

"The Prime Minister Of Japan Is Trying To Roll Back Parts Of Japan's Pacifist Constitution"

Which makes today other headline all the more surprising:

Japan will turn over more than 700 pounds of weapons-grade plutonium and highly-enriched uranium to the United States, the two nations announced on the eve of an international security summit Monday in The Hague. The stockpile, maintained by Japan for research purposes, will be securely transported to the U.S., where it will be converted into “less sensitive forms,” according to a joint statement.

The current PM is very pointy elbows on foreign policy, and just giving up their "research" stockpile seems very out of character.

75 So, closed on the sale of my old house, and purchase of my new one. I have 'til the 31st to get moved out. Working on that this weekend made me kind of sad. Not about the old house, but working on the new one, you can tell someone loved it once- and then something happened and no one loved it for years (it's been empty for at least 2). Working in the yard (I've got 2 years worth of heavily treed yard to rake up), you'll rake a few inches (depth) of leaves, and suddenly find where a flowerbed had been painstakingly laid out. Kind of heart-breaking, really.

Protection of women's reproductive rights is far too safe, legal and rare for that to happen. And even if it did, it's like a zoning right. What, you want to take away women's zoning rights, too? War on women!! And if for some reason a woman's reproductive right accidentally failed for some reason and nature's most noble creature (a drunk 20-year old sorority brat who got drunk and knocked up after a frat party) was inadvertently punished with a baby, the rapist who sired the little monster will be forced by the courts to pay for its welfare for the next two decades so it's all good. 91 So,  RE:   the Jimmy Carter  "The NSA is spying on me!" headlines over at Drudge, I find this funny.

"When I want to communicate with a foreign leader privately, I type or write a letter myself, put it in the post office, and mail it," Carter said with a laugh, as he was questioned on the matter on NBC's "Meet the Press" program.

So Jimmeh   bypasses  NSA surveillance of his electronic    communications by...   using the US Postal Service instead.    Because then the gubmint can't spy on him.

That right there, folks, is how you know   Jimmeh   is     STILL     an idiot.

Not about the old house, but working on the new one, you can tell someone loved it once- and then something happened and no one loved it for years (it's been empty for at least 2). Congrats. I disagree,  CH.     This is what we SHOULD be doing.   Romney should be out there   saying,  "I FUCKING TOLD YOU SO," over and over again,   and we should be backing him up.   Same with Sarah Palin.   Same   with every  Republican and   conservative candidate who    lost a race to an    Obammycare supporting Demonrat.    "We fucking TOLD YOU this would happen with Obammycare!   WE TOLD YOU."

Romney ran a crap campaign, but that doesn't mean he can't   comment on the events of the day;  especially when he     was openly mocked by the current Preezy for expressing his   belief that an ascendant Russia was our #1 geopolitical foe, which -- surprise surprise! -- turned out to be true.

149 There is much of Shinto to value in the diligent Japanese culture. Japan has subtly been organizing its former (empire) glory for decades. That Japanese officials refuse providing sorrow or apology for their war crimes, specifically the Rape of Nanking, to this day, illustrates the convenience of facade on both Japan's and the US part in foreign affairs. Japan v. China? Global repercussions, as if our open borders and most favored trade nations secure American interests, let alone Constitutional Governance. But then, the point is global authoritarianism. there can only be one

"I believe if I send an email, it will be monitored," Carter continued.

218 Working on that this weekend made me kind of sad. Not about the old house, but working on the new one, you can tell someone loved it once- and then something happened and no one loved it for years.... —AllenG The farmhouses, businesses, and homes I see, everywhere I go now, are always sad, when you can see once they were someone's proud family homestead or enterprise. Ghosts of a better age, scores of broken dreams, shattered culture, scattered clans. Heh. Where I live was abandoned for a quarter-century, the house generously valued at $0 when we moved in,.. hm.. 20 years ago this coming Monday. Concrete home built by my grandfather in two stages. Grandmother loved this place I think when it was in its prime, with a big garden, chickens, horses, us young grandkids. Almost all traces of that era are gone, rotted or rifled through by relatives. At least tearing into the place taught me fascinating things about how it was constructed. And there are mysteries out in the yard I still haven't solved. Think I'll go take a walk...

220 re: Bitcoin Vulnerability The interface between USD and Bitcoin is by far the hardest thing. Banks can shut down accounts, and have. The exchange has to somewhat control your Bitcoin as well, to enable HFT(if that's what you're intoi). Solutions: 1) Use crypto-audits. Many are doing this now to prove they actually own the coin they claim to own. Some trusted party walks in, runs the program and verifies it, without leaking any personal info or privacy of users. 2) Multi-signature accounts: The exchange literally can not steal your money. They can only help authorize trades. If they disappear/go out of business, the user gets their backup key to move their money out. This may rule out high frequency trading... unless: 3) Exchange takes on the risk of double-spenders, and allows high frequency trading. If someone tries to double-spend, they get banned.

Posted by: Mrs. Mittens, still waiting for spring at March 24, 2014 09:33 AM (8m3cb) I don't recognize your name so I'll give you the benefit of a doubt as to your comment. The headline insinuated that the hospital intended to use aborted babies as fuel to heat the hospital. As you may or may not know, it takes more energy to incinerate medical waste than it produces. Because of the high temperatures involved, adding a heat recovery unit to the incinerator isn't evil, it's common sense. No, aborted babies are not being burned to heat hospitals. My problem with the Drudge headline is that he didn't make it clear that it was a Telegraph claim. By writing it the way he did, he left the door open for the left wing to point out how misleading it was and blame the premier right wing website for the error.

I'm wondering if they found a bit of the    plane's   tail fin with    "MH370"   emblazoned across it.

You know this isn't going to stop the rumors, though.   The time between the plane's disappearance and this     discovery of the alleged debris   was long enough that someone, somewhere, is going  to say,  "They faked it.    They landed the plane,   unloaded the passengers,   then  tore apart the plane and dumped  bits of it into the ocean to be found so that it would look like the plane crashed."    Because  people love a    good conspiracy, even when there's no reason for one to exist.

236 Malaysian lost flight, until the wreckage is recovered, no say what beyond prayers for those lost and surviving families. Fox Sunday double sourced satellite imagery of wreckage afloat to be investigated The flight's U-turn back to Malaysia could have "meant" anything. Given recorded aviation dialogue, no threat/problem mentioned. So if the pilot was returning the flight for routine safety measures, attention was directed by US analysts at the dangerously explosive cargo that had no SAFE reason to be on the same flight as passengers. Now? There will never be means to substantiate exactly what happened. The official distractions during the first ultra-critical period of recovery made certain to leave this missing flight a mystery.

Perhaps what people find offensive is murdered babies being referred to as 'medical waste'. Posted by: Mike Hammer at March 24, 2014 10:15 AM (aDwsi) I'm not saying every headline needs attribution, just ones that are misleading and politically charged.

238 Posted by: Mrs. Mittens, still waiting for spring at March 24, 2014 10:17 AM (8m3cb) Hopefully, as fucking stupid as you appear to be, you'll have learned from the conversation that the hospital wasn't burning aborting babies to heat their hospital. If you did learn that one fact, you'll be less likely to repeat it in public, thus reducing the possibility of someone hearing it and projecting your lack of knowledge on to the entire right wing of the party.

Skip this post if you find the Drudge article too much to be involved in.

"Ten NHS trusts have admitted burning foetal remains alongside other rubbish while two others used the bodies in ‘waste-to-energyÂ’ plants which generate power for heat"

Yes JWest, I can understand where someone could read that statement that these remains were "used" in waste to energy plants, and come up with the obviously incorrect understanding that these remains were used to generate energy.

And as this practice is completely above board, someone should peel those Administrators off the ceiling who are attempting to immediately halt the practice.

Just over reaction on their part...I'm sure.

243 Did You Know Socialized Medicine Can Incinerate Dead Babies To Heat Hospitals? The NHS Does

If you look up Moloch, the alters built for the sacrifices to him were a giant bull with little cubbyholes to place the babies.

They are literally recreating the worship of Moloch.

For any one to pose as the authority through obscenely abusive means as if representing the smartest of all? Go figure. We each speak for ourselves. As for Drudge, Huffpo or any internet news site posting headline link sources, reading is fundamental. What a person takes from the story is that person's own. You have your take. Others their own.

The real problem here is not using dead babies corpses  as a heat source.

The real problem is Drudge.

250 "The real problem here is not using dead babies corpses as a heat source. The real problem is Drudge. Yeah. That's it. Drudge. " Yes, in this instance, the problem is Drudge. Drudge passed along a misleading, unattributed headline in a form designed to provoke a knee jerk reaction from low information readers who really didn't understand the facts. It worked.

251 I've said it before--If I opened up an "planned parenthood" clinic for dogs and cats, the nation would be horrified.

But human babies? "It's a choice."

How about if your local animal shelter used the incineration of the dogs and cats they've had to put down for heating?

But human babies? "It's a choice!"

252 Today's hymn of Faith-"Guide me now Thou great Jehovah". I think I've posted it before-but I like it, so hopefully that's o.k. :^) The words were originally in Welsh by the great Welsh Hymn writer Walter Williams and it comes from about 1745: A little about Walter Williams and the hymn: http://biblicalfocus.com/Guide_Me__O_Thou_Great.html. The music with the wonderful lyrics including: "Strong deliverer, strong deliverer, Be thou still my strength and shield. Be Thou My strength and shield." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jh3aWJSRV1w Sorry, folks who like these little entries. I got up late and got distracted and then had to go to a meeting.

256 Hell jwest, Drudge puts something on his website that is TRUE and the left goes bananas.  Hell the white house was denying that he had to pay his obamacare stuff, which is untrue, because he had to pay his quarterly taxes.  As you said, it was "inflamatory" - well what the hell, maybe some of those LIV who only read the headlines will be horrified.  Good, let them.  We should have more of these types of headlines for the horrible things that the left does.  After all, it's all about feelings with them so might as well reach them in a way that they understand.

259 Tom Steyer has gotten the most gentle press possible for a "rent seeking leech on the American taxpayer." His $100 million is merely the cost of lobbying Congress for his personal wealth building, yet it is treated like some sort of magnanimous gift by the press.

260 "How about if your local animal shelter used the incineration of the dogs and cats they've had to put down for heating?" Posted by: RoyalOil at March 24, 2014 10:48 AM (VjL9S) I know that you understand what is going on with this article. All "medical waste", they insensitive term used for everything from amputated limbs to livers to aborted babies needs to be incinerated at temperatures between 1400F and 2100F to eliminate any pathagens. Simply lighting this waste on fire doesn't produce that kind of heat. The author used the fact that because so much heat is used incinerating this material some hospitals use latent heat capturing methods to recover a portion of the energy. Twisting the concept to say that aborted babies are being burned to provide heat is just totally wrong.

262 And a beautful daily devotional from "Loving Grace Ministries" on God as our refuge: http://tinyurl.com/ofn942f And just a public service announcement. "Loving Grace Ministries" has wonderful a retreat coming up at the end of May in lovely Sussex County, NJ. (and yes, quite a numberparts of NJ are lovely. :^) I have been to several of their retreats before-very biblically based and centered on Jesus. You will find no prosperity preaching. You stay at the YMCA cabins or if that's not amenable to you you can get a room at a nearbye hotel. I like being in the woods and by the lake. It's a beautiful time of teaching and fellowship and worship. DISCLAIMER: I am not on the staff of this ministry and receive no financial compensation from them to make this announcement. They didn't ask me to do so. :^) I just think people who need a spiritual refresher would so appreciate it. I do. You can read more about them by going to their website "Loving Grace Ministries" or listen online to Rev Monbleaus program. "Let's Talk About Jesus online at WFIL from Philadelphia at 11:30 EST

271 Still, as Russia brings additional forces to areas near the border with eastern Ukraine, America’s spy chiefs are worried that Russian leaders might be able to cloak their next move by shielding more communications from the U.S., according to officials familiar with the matter. “That is the question we’re all asking ourselves,” one top U.S. official says.

The Obama administration is “very nervous,” says a person close to the discussions. “This is uncharted territory.”
