Ice. Don't know where the steak idea came from (it sounds like a moron made that one up as he wanted steak for dinner). Frozen peas. A few minutes on, a few minutes off. Do not take aspirin or advil. Gin is ok. Or vodka. Clear liquids. (I am making up the gin part...but I did read today, but have not tested, that if you mix one part rubbing alcohol to three parts water and put in a baggie to freeze it won't freeze but will be soft like the gel). I am sorry  you hurt yourself.

I may, seriously, need to stop watching the news or reading the "news" if there is bloodshed for a desert tortoise. And, since when do people die for not paying taxes? Um? I could be wrong but think some of these folks are in Congress. Others are illegals.

Then the side of me wants to shout, like John Belushi's "Bluto" Blutarsky in Animal House:

132 You know what's really sad about the Bundy Ranch story? The only site with a complete roundup of facts, proofs, evidence, pictures, videos, audio recordings, documents, on the ground reporters and eye witness accounts is... a half mad bombast by the name of Alex Jones. Everyone else is working from secondary resources (at best), rumors, half truths and lies. Then, there's the spin meisters on both sides of the ideological divide who further muddy the issue. That's just friggin' pathetic. You let a half mad bombast make you look incompetent and nihilistic.

Therefore, those of us who point out that first, their vaunted consensus is based on modeling houses of cards and second, that they have no, zero, nada, zip idea of what actually is science and what they are "practicing" is ludicrously far from it, are, in their eyes, the big bad bogey men who will rip away their security blankets and laugh - (at them!) - as we do it. So, obey them! Because they are frightened chirruns.

I read he has been hiding from press. He got a little chapped, remember, when someone asked him a few weeks ago about his little oopsie that paid $34k illegally out of fundraising dollars to his granddaughter's jewelry bidness (gifts for his staff). He spat at the reporter that he had paid $17K and he was glad he was able to write that check and, bite me! Reporters then, like good little sheep, backed off his highness. What's a little fraud and corruptness these days in the most transparent administration in history? No biggie! pfft

The damn things I have to deal with under this reign of terror. And, the grey hairs that are showing up! I should also be charging my highlights to the government in a class action lawsuit. I honestly do not remember what I was like prior to 2008. What did I worry about then? Palmetto bugs? Islamic terrorists?

215 I see it as a continuation of the Clitnon era re-alignment that moved support functions from active duty to reserve formations.  Admittedly the round out brigade for Desert Storm that took forever to train up is certainly ammo for this argument, but that was 23 years and a few wars ago.

The money saving makes no sense when when the Army is already trying to replace the UH-60,OH-58, UH-1 fleets with the LUH-72 Lakota.  Now add in the retraining of Guard AH-64 units plus airframe specific support items to convert them to UH-60 and then LUH-72, the money saving in my eyes is just not there.

No spoilers there. It's obvious from the casting that Gwen Stacy would be the female lead and the most well remembered thing about the character is that she was murdered by Norman Osborne/Green Goblin. They've already revealed the casting of a Mary Jane Watson for the planned third movie.

A bigger question is will they have her die the same way, with Spider-man's attempt to save her breaking her neck.

I was the G-4 for the heavy AC/RC Division (24th ID). I was not impressed. Sorry, the JV is not as good as the varsity. I've been on both sides, they're just not the same. The ONLY service where that does not hold true is AFRES and ANG. Those units (in my experience) are as good as their active counterparts.

240 so tragic hipster from Brooklyn prog relatives laughing about Portlandia I tell them about the episode I saw where the main characters in the show see a dog tied to a café chair while the dog owner is inside getting a coffee. Idiots on Portlandia release the enslaved dog to free it, not thinking that the dog clearly belonged to someone and that "freeing it" was a very dangerous and irresponsible thing to do. from that episode, relatives explain to me, doltish suburban person that I am, that its funny because unattended dogs are a problem that could only happen in an urban environment I explain that what I took from the episode was that people unable to refrain from poking their noses into other peoples business, like their dogs, is something only a tragic urban hipster would be unable to refrain from doing totally had not occurred to them. BTW I own two dogs. They, none. But they know more about dogs than me, cause, they know everything. Just ask them

But then I also remember history when two NG units distinguished themselves at the Louisiana war games before Pearl Harbor.  Their reward was to be activated and assigned to Dutch East Indies and the Philippines before outbreak of war.  So they ended up POWs.

284 A couple of weeks ago our leftie newspapers here were all whining about Central Africa Republic Moslems being assaulted/harassed conveniently leaving out how Christians have been being killed by Moslems for the past couple of years there until the recent French intervention. They haven't reported shit about Nigeria. They also use the "31 Killed in Christian-Muslim Violence" headlines for the page C13, 2-column-inch wire service reports when it's 31 Christians (or maybe 29 at 'best') killed by the Moslems and not an even exchange in bloodletting as the headline suggests.

Babysit them until they 'graduate' and become a drain on the system.

It was a blueprint.

(but I liked the show, hate the education system...)

290 Peaches....my kitty overlords did a double cross-over in front of me today while doing yard work and tripped me.  Black eye and a very sore right side.  Their concern for me consisted of meowing louder to get me off my ass to get insight and feed them.  Overlords indeed.

304 People who reject vaccinations are on the same level as Holocaust deniers and 9/11 conspiracy idiots. It's just fools who want attention for raising their kids in a "non-traditional" manner. Autism isn't caused by vaccines. It's likely genetic- as in your genes made your kid this way. Deal with that every time you look in the mirror, Jenny. And yes, the government should be allowed to force you to get vaccinated. Preventing infectious disease is one of the few things they should be able to do and it shouldn't matter what God you purport to worship. The fact that it ever became an issue in a Republican primary was embarrassing. Rick Perry was 100% correct in mandating it.

306 I don't get to explain my theories excpt here in the middle of the night. Anyway, autism may be caused high strenght ultrasound exminatiopon of first and second semester fetuses, wh whether some developme tile the brain mat be starting to make new neural connectuins and forming new types of cells which will be needed for social interaction. In the young fomation of critical neural networks, time could be everything in determining whether a high strength beam of ultrsound enery will do damage to nacent neural neworks, or the newly formed tissue is robust enough to take the hit. This would, of course, need a lot of time and money to research, the effects couyld be staggering since the current estimate on austistic children being born today is between one an 2%. Finally there is a correllation between high energy ultrasound being used to screen fetal health in early pregnancy, and the steep incline in diagnoses of autism in children.
