This is why I love Germans. Well, this and their ruthless efficiency.

— Ace Flame war!
I'm not sure I'm going to be able to participate though. Mrs. Michael is awful frisky tonight.

— Ace The result? The loss of a multi-million dollar rocket.
"What's the AoS Lifestyle got to do with rocket science?" you may be asking yourselves. Beats me, but check out the headline to the story:
"Falcon 1 Failure Traced to a Busted Nut"
A busted nut? Really? But that isn't even proper English is it? I guess it is, because the lead paragraph cites this as the cause too, and some editor approved its usage.
A busted nut, not human error, is to blame for the fuel leak that doomed the Falcon 1 rocket on its maiden flight, according to the findings of a government review board chartered to investigate the March 24 launch failure.
So, let me get this straight. All these years I thought that busting a nut on maidens (opportunities that are exceedingly rare for those who, like me, are full adherents to the AoS Lifestyle) was a GOOD thing. Now I'm being told that it can cause havok and destruction of almost unparalleled dimensions.
Which, come to think of it, so can the AoS Lifestyle. So maybe my surprise is misplaced.
I don't even know what the following paragraph in the story means, but it sounds pretty kinky to me. Anyone know how to get in touch with Fiesty for some "expert analysis"?
Musk said an inspection conducted the day before the launch found that the nut was still intact and holding its pipe fitting securely in place. Rocket parts recovered after the accident show that nutÂ’s lock wire was still attached, an indication that technicians working on the rocket the day before had properly tightened the pipe fitting before closing up.
Since I've never been accused of splitting atoms with my mind, I'll just assume that that paragraph is a geeky/Mrs. Peel way of saying "better living through science!". And if it isn't? Please don't ruin it for me.
Really. I haven't got much. It would just be cruel to take this away.

— Ace I've never seen an embedded video on this site. It's easy enough to do. Maybe Ace has some kind of policy against them.
What the heck, he's not here. Here's one I found recently that I really like. Let's see if this works on munu. (Wait for Edgar to leave his keyboard and pick up a sax about three quarters of the way through this video.)

— Ace At least, stupid enough to attempt matching wits with John Bolton:
Democrats like John Kerry have vowed to fight the nomination (of John Bolton). Kerry showed up at the very last minute of today's hearing and it turned into a barbed exchange between the Bush Administration's attempt to engage North Korea in 6 party talks.

— Ace Sorry about the outage, folks. I'm sure that Pixy will let us know eventually what happened. Thanks for checking back.
Ace had to leave town in a hurry. No, I don't know why, and I don't want to know. He asked me to let you know that he's travelling this weekend, and has invited guest posts from the various Main Page Commenters at Innocent Bystanders, along with Noted Blog Personality Jack Michaels. Some of you will recognize that all of us posting this weekend (assuming the site comes back up) are long-time commenters here at AOSHQ.
We are presently caucusing to decide who AOSHQ should have another blogwar with in Ace's absence, now that Ace is done with Glenn Greenwald and Paul at Wizbang. Currently the leading candidate is Dave at Garfield Ridge. I'm sure many of you will agree that Dave is long overdue for a comeuppance. On the other hand, he has a lot of friends in the Pentagon, which makes one hesitate to nuke him without giving it some thought.
Feel free to give us your thoughts regarding who to attack in the thread below.

— Ace Update: Paul says he's quitting.
I'm not sure whether or not to leave this up. Is it vindictive to do so? Or is it dishonest to take it down?
Update: Paul called me a coward for taking it down, so I guess I have his permission -- nay, his insistence -- I air his dirty laundry out for him.
It seems embarrassing for both of us, but if that's what he wants, so be it.
...
I'm warning you, this is personal blogger versus blogger stuff, and it's not terribly interesting for anyone else. You're welcome to read it if you're not a blogger, but really, this is inside crap that you probably have no use for.

— Ace Go here.
Enter this IP: 71.34.251.220
Guess what you'll get.
She previously posted on my site, under her own name, under this very similar IP: 71.34.252.228.
And we all know by now that IP's can be dynamically reassigned when you turn off the computer. You will not be surprised that both IP's trace to Eugene, Oregon.
Everyone really should stop visiting this lunatic's site. She posts shit like this because she craves attention. Like a baby, sometimes you just have to let them
mewl and cry for a while until they learn they can't just start screaming to get some Mommy and Daddy Time.
If you'd like to express your opinions about this sick bitch, send an email here:
dfrisch@pobox.com
But be wary of saying anything that can be construed as threatening; the lunatic will use that for sympathy at her court hearing.
