BREAKING School Shooting In Jerusalem/2 Bombings In Baghdad
— DrewM

I put the original post and updates under the fold. Here's the latest (4:40 EST) from the JPost.

Eight people were confirmed dead in a terror attack at Merkaz Harav Yeshiva, near the entrance to Jerusalem on Thursday evening. The attack was reportedly perpetrated by a resident of Jabel Mukaber in east Jerusalem.

Magen David Adom have confirmed 10 wounded civilians, including three seriously. One terrorist was said to have been killed by a student.

Witnesses said that only one terrorist had entered the building and that he managed to fire 500-600 bullets over the course of 4-10 minutes before he was killed.

Hamas has taken "credit" and thousands in Gaza took to the streets to celebrate.

Obviously unrelated but equally awful...54 Killed in twin bombings in Baghdad.

President Bush always said there'd be good and bad days in the war on terror. This is a very bad one. more...

International Gun/Drug Runner, Supplier To Al Qaeda and FARC, Arrested By The Simple Innocence of a Child's Smile and Thai SWAT Units, But Mostly Thai SWAT Units
— Ace

Big, big fish. Netted.

See-Dub calls him a Bond Villain on the level of Ernst Stavro Blofeld. He's even got a Bond Villain name -- Viktor Bout (bout!) -- and his other accomplishments include the Oscar for lifetime achievement as “Africa’s chief merchant of death.”

He supplied that cocksucker Charles Taylor in Liberia, too.

Obama's Foriegn Policy Adviser: Sure, Obama's Not Ready For That 3am Phone Call, But Neither Is Hillary!
— Ace

I agree. What can I say. This moron speaks the truth as only diagnosable cretins can perceive it.

I appreciate her retarded candor. I'm not sure her boss will.

And yeah-- I'm not juicing the headline as usual. She really says that. Obama's own frigging foreign policy adviser Susan Rice says he's not ready to take that 3am call.

Combine this with Obama's own ad explaining in great detail why he's unfit to be commander in chief, and we've got the makings of a campaign here.

I don't want to go nuts here -- but did this woman just actually demolish any chance of Obama winning the nomination, nevermind the general election?

Thirty-Eight Years Ago...
— Ace

...three members of the Weather Underground, partners in crime with Barack Hussein Obama's bosom chums William Ayers and Bernadette Dorhn, blew themselves to fiery hell when a bomb intended for Fort Dix inadvertently exploded in their evil fucking faces.

But for John Ryan's benefit, let me state, and I do actually mean this quite seriously:

Though both of these terrorists were blown into tiny blackened and pink chunks, there was no actual damage.

See what I did there, Professor Science?

We call that a "runner" or a "callback."

Keep up.

Correction: Three useless DNA balloons were punctured, not two. Thanks to David in San Diego for the correction.

The Payoff? Rezko Fixed It To Get Obama Staffers on Illinois Governor's Payroll
— Ace

I haven't covered the Rezko story because better bloggers than I were doing a good job with it.

And.

Because I didn't see the payoff. Yes, there is that strip of adjacent property sold for less-than-market value, but last I heard Obama paid $104,000 for that, which seems... well, an awful lot for a strip of land to make your property a bit bigger. Sure, it seems to have been under-priced, but it's not like he got $100,000 investing in cattle futures.

But.

Here is the payoff. We saw this earlier with John McCain, alas, and the Reform Institute. Those running political campaigns cannot actually afford to keep their staffers on payroll year round for several years. It's really only in the year before the election -- sometimes only the nine months before an election -- they officially go on the campaign payroll.

So, what do they do in the meantime? They have to draw a salary. They don't go into Aliens-style hypersleep every three of four years.

Well, that's where friends can help. One can keep one's campaign staff adequately fed and sheltered through those non-election years if only one has some buddies willing to keep the nucleus (or even more than the nucleus) of your permanent campaign staff on their payroll through those lean years.

And, as it turns out, Barack Hussein Obama just does happen to have bosom chums in the corrupt Chicago political machine.

For example, shady extoritionist and political fixer Tony Rezko, currently on trial for a welter of violations. Seems Dirty Tony was such a mensch for Obama that he he found cushy positions for Obama's permanent War Council in the governor's administration.

Well, that's what friends are for, the song goes.

So keep on smiling...
shining...
knowing you can always count on me, for sure...
that's what friends are for.

For me, there's finally a real hint of actual corruption on Obama's part here, beyond "mere" unsavory associations and strange offers of discounted pricey Chicago property.

We might have found the quid. Now we just need to find the quo.

Recruiting Station Bombing Analysis: "This was an act of domestic terrorism"
— Ace

Bob Owens has pics and speculation. His conclusion is, I admit, rather obvious, but I suppose it's useful to have the reasoning out there. As well as the pics; this was not a powerful bomb.

Uncle Sam is, perhaps symbolically, quite undamaged by this effort.

Yes, it's some sort of Code Pink or anarchist extremist anti-war freak. (Anti-war, it seems, but not anti-bomb or anti-violence so much. Huh.)

The only question remains is: When did Karl Rove pay them to do this, and did he pay by a traceable check?

David Shuster just emailed to say that Karl Rove's indictment for this bombing is "imminent."

Well, actually he wrote "eminent," but that's the wrong word, but he's a fucking retard so I fixed that for him.

More: Gateway Pundit drops the interesting nugget that "three or four" people were seen running away from the blast.

So... possibly/probably not just a conveniently-lone nut.

And going back to the Captain Ed post at Hot Air:

Now the movement has decided to morph into domestic terrorism. Of course, the people responsible will claim that they bombed the office during the night to keep anyone from being hurt. That’s exactly the same kind of rationalization that people like the Weather Underground and the SLA used at first, anyway — that terrorism was justified by their politics. In fact, a few like William Ayers and Bernadette Dohrn still claim that.

Yes... Barack Obama's bosom chums William Ayers and Bernadette Dohrn, he means.

This comes at a rather bad time for Obama. The left behaves as if domestic terrorism -- if done for acceptable chic leftist political reasons -- is just a some sort of charming "youthful indiscretion," like experimenting with pot or naked homoerotic fingerpainting with your college roommate steve_in_hb.

What? Huh? Who said that?

Just ignore that. It was some kind of weird technical glitch. In my mind.

Oh, they don't all quite go so far as to brand this all an excusable bit of youthful enthusiasm. While Margaret Cho praises the leftist terrorists Baader-Meinhof for their romantic charisma and chic fashion sense, most mouth the platitudes that domestic terrorism is bad, mmm kay?

But their actions say otherwise. Barack Obama still considers William Ayers perfectly respectable company.

It's like having high tea with James Byrd's dragging-murder killers.

"No Actual Damage:" John Ryan, or as I know him, Professor Science doubts there was any "actual damage" caused by this lighthearted bit of college prankery and hijinksery.

Apparently I'm his only source for news and he's incapable of clicking on less-well-known outlets such as CNN and the NYT.

So, for Professor Science's benefit, here's a pic of the damage-free bombsite:

r1639883155.jpg

Pay no mind to the shattered glass or twisted, blackened door. They were always like that. Military recruiters like to put possible recruits into the mind of war even upon approaching their station. It's all part of the decor, Professor Science, like the window-displays at Barney's.

So, yes, Professor Science -- no "actual" damage. Just a "love bomb" that threw out a lot of peace-shrapnel and waves of concussive social justice.

You stupid. Fucking. Cock-sucking. Terrorist jock-sniffer symp.

Offense intended.

Thanks to Slublog for provoking this.

Bad Landing: Left Lower Leg Amputated After Compound-Fracturing Wipe-Out
— Ace

I don't know why I'm posting this. I guess just because I'm trying to make up for not posting in a couple of hours with sensationalism.

Graphic Violence/Macabre content warning. I can't see everything the announcers are seeing, but it looks bad anyway.

The caption:

Austrian skier Matthias Lanzinger crashes horribly at a World Cup race. According to WCSN.com his injuries were so bad that doctors were forced to amputate his lower left leg.

Rightwing Plot: Explosives Found In UC Davis Dorm
— Ace

Just flashed on FoxNews, a tipster tells me.

Further evidence for dKos' "rightwing agent provocateur Reichstag Fire" theory. College campuses are of course notorious breeding grounds for rightwing militia-type extremism. And also, jello shot parties.

Claim: Muqtada al Sadr Suffers Ten Game Batting Slump and Coma, But Mostly Coma
— Ace

Just one completely unconfirmed rumor. Don't get as excited as I am.

thanks to vilmar.

Actually... As emotionally satisfying this might be if true, it could be very bad. We have, mostly, neutralized al Sadr; whether we bought him, or scared him, or other Iraqi leaders have restrained him, he's mostly just been a blowhard lately.

If he has been taken out, who knows what could come next.

And if he recovers... well he's going to have a Messiah glow that could almost rival Barack Obama's.
