I'm reading between the lines a bit but we've gone from "Wilson is wrong, illegals aren't covered" to "Hey, we're going to make sure illegals aren't covered after all" pretty quickly.

According to a White House release, the administration now says it wants to see the health care plan should include the following provisions.

* Undocumented immigrants would not be able to buy private insurance on the exchange. Those who are lawfully present in this country would be able to participate.

* Undocumented immigrants would be able to buy insurance in the non-exchange private market, just as they do today. That market will shrink as the exchange takes hold, but it will still exist and will be subject to reforms such as the bans on pre-existing conditions and caps.

* Verification will be required when purchasing health insurance on the exchange. One option is the SAVE program (Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements) which states currently use to make sure that undocumented immigrants don't participate in safety-net programs for which they are ineligible.

* There would be no change in the law that requires emergency rooms to treat people who need emergency care, including undocumented immigrants. There is already a federal grant program that compensates states for emergency room costs associated with treatment of undocumented immigrants, a provision sponsored by a Republican lawmaker.

The House Energy and Commerce Committee has already rejected an amendment that would have covered most of this, so it's clearly a change in policy for the Democrats.

Good evening all. Hope you all had a good weekend especially those morons at the CT meetup. Guess that explains why last night's ONT was so well behaved. I'm still in Vegas and about to head off to the Blue Man Group so here are a couple things to keep everyone from breaking the blog furniture. Again.

Item #1: The Best/Worst Movie Trailer of All Time
This is the trailer for the movie, "Gator Bait", a classic example of the hicksploitation genre of the 70's. It's awesome cause it shows you exactly what the movie is like. The downside is that it pretty much shows all the good parts so why watch the movie unless you're really into gators, shotguns, and cajun wildcats.

Charles at LGF has his panties in a twist because one of the speakers at the Tea Party in DC supported the guy who sent an email with a pic of Obama as a witch doctor. Now Charles is an insufferable prig, but I wonder if the pic is actually racist. It references ObamaCare and as such the witch doctor angle is understandable. The problem is that the left will reflexively call it racist and that hurts the cause. They have done this so often though that the charge becomes weak through the over use in obviously non-racist situations. But is any instance of making fun of Obama that uses any reference to Africa automatically racist?

So I ask the collective wisdom of the moronosphere, is the picture with commentary about Obamacare as context, racist? 2nd question, is it wise to give ammo to the wankers on the left by using it? I saw a couple examples of it at the march yesterday.

Some of us were having difficulty walking in a straight line quite early in the evening, and things just kept getting better after that. Would like to apologize for anything anybody might happen to unfortunately remember.

Ace was there. Dave in Texas was there. Drew M was there. Wiserbud, Sassypants, african chick, Doubleplus Undead, alexthechick, Alice H, sickinmass, and many other spectacular Morons and lurkers. Looked like a couple dozen of us were there.

We had fun. Pretty sure that I fondled and slobbered all over King Ewok against his will. Tough cookies, he'll live. My head hurts, my husband isn't speaking to me, there's graffiti on my hump, and this is not my brassiere.

We had a great time! You shoulda been there dude!

Yesterday was an amazing show of force, without any force employed. Hundreds of thousands of folks showed up to let the President & Congress know that they weren't real thrilled about trillions of dollars flying out of the Treasury to all kinds of liberal causes. 9 months ago the Obama love was out of control and they went overboard. Well the people aren't happy about owning GM, or billions going to ACORN, or the idea of socialized medicine. 2010 is completely in play and if I was a Democrat, I'd be a little worried. Here is MK Ham and me and some perfectly ironic music, I think.
