Laocoon was a Trojan priest who warned about the Trojan Horse. Poseidon sent snakes to attack Laocoon and his sons and kill them, cuz he was on the Greeks' side. The Trojans took it as a curse, believed the Horse was a gift from the gods, and took it into the city. Later that night...

El Greco was inspired by the old Byzantine aesthetic but added a Renaissance/Mannerist twist. Byzantine art was profoundly spiritual and ethereal. It was meant to lift the viewer's mind and soul to a higher plane of consciousness and worship. Renaissance art was more humanist.Posted by: Kris at April 20, 2021 10:13 AM (OyyDO)

I've bought paint bottles from these people: https://www.automotivetouchup.com/ Oddly enough, they are located near me, but I've always ordered online. Excellent color matching. Be sure to get yourself a couple of small hobby brushes, though; the brush that comes attached to the cap of the paint bottle is far too big and unwieldy to use.
