and now, this country's government is just as loathsome as any of the worst governments in history. This is a mockery of justice, and we no longer have anything to be proud of, and no reason at all to think we are exceptional. They have made this country just as bad as they always said it was - I think I am already past mourning its death, I am ready for it to be gone.

Riot either way. No one thinks it will be quiet tonight. Burn, Loot, and Murder has nothing to do with any kind of justice, it's just something they can point to justify their baser actions. Wait for the excuses as to why the show trial with a predetermined outcome isn't the "justice" they needed.
What's the real end to this? It isn't pretty, but it's coming.

Yes.
You can charge for a main offense and lesser-included ones. If you convict on all of them, you've got the "suspenders-and-a-belt" effect in case the court of appeals finds that the evidence was insufficient to sustain one of the charged offenses, or there was some other error that affected only one of the charges.
That will be $500 dollars.

there is a larger point here. There was a time when you could quit a job and there were plenty of semi-skilled work available. Even during recessions there are companies willing to hire a good worker.
But now? We outsourced manufacturing to China, We imported low skill and construction workers from the South. It isn't impossible, but it is much harder. By design. In Victorian England, you could go "into service," ie, go work for a rich family as servant. This is what our anointed class want.

Yes. The percentage of applicants/trainees with with anger management issues will no doubt increase as people of more normal temperament and ambitions will look elsewhere. There were already enough bad officers and people infatuated with the new militarized police forces (thank you so much, GWB) that quality was declining.
Look for a host of new officers with societal grievances and scores to settle. You will not want them responding to your emergency call.

Blue cities are going to hire cops who want to act like social workers instead of arresting people. The crime rate will go up, but middle class or wealthier liberals and democrats don't care, because they've already given up on cities.

And then to have his bail revoked. Of course, that could be in his favor too because I'm sure if he was free until sentencing, he might find him self on the end of a short ripe on a tall tree.

I think Montag there is trying to indicate that Gutfeld is mocking that way of thinking, because cities are still going to burn.
Posted by: buzzion at April 20, 2021 05:47 PM (vMCab)
Gutfeld is an acquired taste. He's almost always going to be a smartass and wants you to read through the smartass to get the substance behind it. That's his delivery. He breaks and gets serious sometimes but not often.
I get this because I'm one of the worst smartassed smartass the world has ever known and had to discover the hard way that smartassitry is not widely appreciated or desired. This probably hinders him, as it did me, from gaining wider appeal.

Yeah, I'm done with that hope thing. Since the election and country was stolen on Nov. 3rd, there has not been one, single thing to indicate there's a reason I should hope for anything going right. Because it's not.

The pressure to conform to the Party's concept of "justice" is greater now than it was last year.
Why on earth would any judge entertain the idea of overturning this? It would come at personal and social risk, when upholding the verdict will guarantee reward from his unquestioned masters. "Plata o plomo," and none of these black-robed gangsters ever had any principles to compromise in the first place.

Too much risk to be a cop now. They'll have to use the National Guard to cover cities where the cops leave.

Oh but the Federalist Society twerps who endzone-danced so much over the very unimpressive Kav and ACB nominations are too busy lamenting the lynching in Mpls to ever notice things like this.
America has an unbelievably vile and stupid internal enemy, and an incredibly sub-mediocre "opposition".

I think what you would have to do is if there's someone committing a crime and you know you can't do anything about that particular person just start arresting/shooting people you can (white people).
STOP! Or I'll shoot this cracker!

We DO know how to fight them. But you are correct. We do not have the will.
More importantly, we do not have the political, judiciary or military backing.
We are, for all intents and purposes, living under the Enabling Act and the Nuremburg Laws.
