[Paul] Dennis refused to sign a petition in support of Jones when the scandal broke. He told friends he was one of several staff unwilling to put their names to the Met Office-inspired statement in support of the global warming camp, because “science isn’t done by consensus”.

University sources say the head of department, Professor Jacquie Burgess, received a letter from Dennis at the height of the email uproar, calling for more open release of data. He appears to have disapproved of the way Jones resisted FoI requests.

If you're having problems following the context, this will help:

Anka is mad about the band not coming to their "cut-offs" on cue, on various songs, like My Way (he wrote it) and I'm Not Anyone. They're supposed to cut-off when he raises his arms before a bow. But they're sloppy and not doing it when he signals.

Vinny Falcone is obviously a scary, hard-ass conductor. "Man of Substance" actually gave me a real Vinny Falcone business card, long ago. (Wait-- actually, he gave me CJ Powell's card, mentioned near the end.)

Ehhh... I don't believe her, for some reason.

The ad is sort of effective in slamming Tom Campbell as a free-spending liberal kind of guy, and it also hurts Fiorina by being so... so, so I think DeVore comes out ahead here.

Sensation: Yup -- 110,000 hits on YouTube and counting.

While a lot of people are joking about the ad, they can't help taking away the message of the ad.

Cambpell is hurt by this, surely, just as Fiorina seems a bit sillyheaded.

On the other hand, if she winds up vaulting ahead of Campbell, she won't seem so silly anymore.
