Claim: OJ Simpson Trying to Auction Off Knife He Used To Kill Niccole Brown
— Ace

Okay, first of all, so far, this is sketchy.

Second, while it's possible he's doing this? As he's monster? And needs money? It's not true he kept the knife. Oh, he killed her with a knife. But the knife he's trying to peddle is just a knife. He wouldn't have kept it. He likely ditched it on the way from his house to Rockingham. I believe his limo driver mentioned him opening a window en route.

So if there's truth to this story, it's that OJ is a scumbag murderer, who is now becoming a con man.

O.J. Simpson never threw away the knife that was allegedly used to kill estranged wife, Nicole Brown, and heÂ’s now trying to sell it to a collector, according to a shocking report in the new issue of the National Enquirer.

...

"O.J. wants the deal to be a well-kept secret,” confided the source. “He’s looking for a strictly cash deal so that the money can be deposited in offshore accounts and can’t be traced directly to him.”

Yeah, he'd need it to be a secret, as Fred Goldman can take any money that comes into his hands, thank to his civil judgment for wrongful death (aka, Murder).

Second look at Double Jeopardy?

Hey, How About Another Poll Analysis Post?
— Ace

Bit of an update to the earlier post -- Obama might be cutting losses in Colorado and Virginia as well.

One thing I wanted to note was Romney's strengthening position in Ohio. I didn't want to get my hopes up when I read this, from Mark Halperin, via Hot Air:

HereÂ’s why some Democrats are worried tonight. If Romney wins the three Southern battlegrounds (FL, NC, and VA) and OH, he is at 266 electoral votes. Leaving the other five battlegrounds unallocated, that means Obama would be at 237 and Romney would only need to win one of the remaining five states to get to 270+Â…

One senior Democratic official expressed real concern tonight unlike I have heard before about Ohio potentially slipping away from Obama (the state has been trending Republican in statewide races, Rob Portman has become a force, religious and gun groups are flooding the state with voter contacts, two of RomneyÂ’s top strategists have recently won a statewide race there, etc).

Okay. That's just one report, so I didn't want to go kookoobananas on it. Ohio worries me.

But now Peter Hamby reports (first link, above):

The buzz from Columbus: Ohio race was reset by Romney's first debate (and he may have even been up heading into debate #2)

Buzz? It does seem likely that Democrats are providing this buzz; and it's possible we still only have the one source, the one senior Democrat, leaking to both men. And this may be based on a single Obama internal poll.

Still.

So: I'm still worried about Ohio, and I have long thought it simply is a Democratic state now, and still want Romney to make a strong play for Wisconsin and Michigan -- I don't want so many eggs in this Ohio basket -- but it does seem like maybe Ohio is trending in our favor.

YouTube Movie Inspires Riot at New York Federal Reserve; Spontaneous Bombing Attempt Breaks Out
— Ace

He was actually being watched the whole time by the FBI, who once again provided him with a fake bomb.

So there was no actual danger.

But there remains, of course, a desire to kill people on a massive scale.

This is a poll analysis post.

Media Doesn't Notice That Obama Told Iowan Women They Were "Well Qualified To Teach"
— Ace

If you're a woman, obviously your primary skills are in nurturing, and obviously your best career choice is Teaching.

Ladies? I've got some good news: Obama has deemed you "well-qualified to teach" (or to learn: Apparently you can also be a teacher-in-training).

The media doesn't notice, because the Narrative is that Romney, who hired and promoted bindersfull of women, hates women, and Obama, who was ripped by two of his female underlings as being a sexist who can't relate to women, loves women.

Gaffe? Of course not. Only Republicans make gaffes. Democrats merely say things the media chooses not to emphasize.

In Iowa Paper, Perot Backs Romney
— Ace

Helpful. I think Perot's still got some sway with crotchety types (i.e., disillusioned conservative-leaning independents).

erot accuses Obama of shouldering the nation with unsustainable debt: “In the last four years during Obama’s presidency, he’s added around $5 trillion to our national debt, more than any previous president.

“It is this massive deficit spending that threatens to undermine our future standard of living,” he adds.

But the Texas businessman cautioned that efforts to rein government spending should not weaken the nation’s military. “Even as we have engaged in runaway domestic spending, the country has been put on the path to massive cuts in the defense budget.

“History teaches that the price of military weakness always exceeds the price of preparedness,” Perot continues. “And yet at a moment when turbulence is sweeping critical regions of the world, we are increasingly unprepared.”

Meanwhile, in a local Iowa paper, thirteen Iowans take out a full-page ad to apologize for voting for Obama in 2008, throwing their support to Romney.

Meanwhile, in Iowa, Obama is talking about wind, and how women make good teachers.

Obama Now Hitting Romney on... Wind Energy
— Ace

True, he's in Iowa, so it's a local pander, and thus not quite as useless as it might seem.

Plus, he seems to think this "binder" thing is a real vote-getter.

Calling for more teachers, Pres Obama says "We donÂ’t have to collect a bunch of binders to find qualified...women ready to learn and teach."

Via @markknoller.
We're now 20 days from the election and Obama is running on a portfolio of Lily Ledbetter, Wind Energy, and binders.

And here, meanwhile, is what Romney is running on:

Seems rather... bigger, eh?

Thanks to @slublog.

Just a Meme
— Ace

Meanwhile, Obama's got a new hastag: #ObamaWonDebate.

Roseanne Barr, by the way, is more lunatic than usual. She says women "who have sex" will vote for Biden, who, in her opinion, is a handsome man, whereas King Pimp Paul Ryan looks like Count Chocula.

She spelled that wrong, by the way, as "Chockula." You'd think if there was one thing Roseanne could spell, it would be the names of sugary, carb-dense foods.

Howard Fineman: Obama Is A "Dreamer." Um, okay.

We usually don't put Dreamers in charge of stuff. They can be good idea guys, but the last thing you want is a Dreamer actually involved in decisions involving money.

Obama 2012: Hoops and (increasingly) Strange
— Jack M.

UPDATE: The links were broken, and I have fixed them. In addition, the story I linked to has now been changed on the NBC4/New York websight to edit out the "Romney looked into my soul" passage. Should I take credit for this? I'm thinking...yes.

I almost titled this entry "Jeremy's Spoken", but, y'know, I just never could get into that whole Pearl Jam thing.

Which is fine, because, like 23 million unemployed Americans, Pearl Jam hasn't exactly scored a major gig anywhere during the Obama Administration either.

I thought the article linked above needed greater exposure, though. It not only underscores the effectiveness of Mitt Romney's performance in last night's debate, but it also reveals something else about our Narcissist-In-Chief's strange and offputting personality.

The gist of the article is that the first questioner in last night's debate, Jeremy Epstein, has now decided on who he is going to support in the upcoming election. Although he doesn't explicitly say it, I believe he walked away from the debate convinced that Mitt Romney was the better choice.

Why? Because Mitt Romney offered him a chance at employment and Barack Obama offered to beat him in a game of one-on-one. more...
