DNC Rapid Response: Romney Only Won Because He Was Rude And Snippy Or Some Crap
— Ace

I like this ad. It's silly.

PS, Obama spoke for five more minutes than Romney.

Romney's real sin was resorting to an age-old cheap debating tactic, called "The Coherent Sentence." Obama, being a very ethical fellow, refrained from such chicanery.

More Excuses: See, Obama was maybe "too professorial," which apparently means "rambling and unable to express a coherent argument."

Meanwhile, MSNBC Senior Race Baiter Michael Eric Dyson says the problem was, essentially, racism. See, Obama was playing it safe because FoxNews called him an Angry Black Man the night before, so...

Bob Woodward: I Bet We'll Find Out That "Something Happened" In Obama's Personal or Presidential Life To Distract Him
— Ace

Meh.

Woodward goes on to suggest this “something” could be in foreign affairs with an intelligence report and predicts that as the onion gets peeled we will find out what happened.

The linked clip doesn't contain any specific reference to an intelligence report or foreign affairs.

Though he has me worried that Obama's excuse will be "I was planning an important Wag the Dog strike against positions in Libya."

State Department Actually Reduced Security In Benghazi?!?!
— Ace

Foreign Policy President (TM).

In the six months leading up to the assault on the United States consulate in Benghazi, the State Department reduced the number of trained Americans guarding U.S. facilities in Libya, according to a leading House Republican investigating the Sept. 11 anniversary attacks. The reduction in U.S. security personnel increased AmericaÂ’s reliance on local Libyan guards for the protection of its diplomats.

...

The State Department on Wednesday didnÂ’t respond to requests for comment. However, a senior State Department official said an independent review panel was examining the charge.

Guilty.

Let me explain something: You need an investigation, which may take some time, when the facts you are seeking are located in unfriendly hands or a different country.

When the facts can be obtained by walking down the hallway and knocking on the door of your office-mate, you do not need "an investigation." You need only the willingness to ask the question, and then to reveal the answer.

This is a lie. They know who ordered this. Based on their unwillingness to throw any lackeys under the bus, it almost surely came from Obama or Hillary Clinton. The two people who can't be thrown under the bus.

Hence the need for lengthy "investigations" into discussions three people (and they know who they are-- it's all on the agenda and in the emails) just months ago.

Yeah, this is like the extensive investigation Hillary required to determine if she had worked on Whitewater.

Obama:

I know I already posted that second picture, but the contrast is so keen.

This is what the NYT calls a "draw."

NYT: Okay, We'll Call It a Draw
— Ace

No, really.

Wary of split screens on CNN and other networks, Mr. Romney managed, despite a dry throat and some rapid blinking, to keep a choirboy smile pasted on his face while Mr. Obama spoke; Mr. Obama was quicker to drop his bonhomie and adopt the look of a long-suffering headmaster enduring the excuses of a bright student he is going to expel.

...

If anything, these confrontations look more like a dispute in couples therapy: neither partner can really win, but either one could get rattled and blurt out something unforgivable.

George Stephanopolous declared the Democrat the winner in eight of the nine debates he "analyzed" as a "journalist."

Now, Newsbusters credits him with breaking this streak.

No, Newsbusters. You are too charitable. He in fact refuses to say Romney won, and changes the question from "Who won?" to "Did Romney do enough to seriously change the race?" -- a question he seems to think is answered in the negative.

So, yes, he understands Romney won, but he's not saying so. He's just saying Romney didn't do enough to really help himself.

Happy Thursday.

And it is a pretty happy Thursday, no? My "instant" debate reaction is up over at NYDN. Short version: Obama was unprepared and unpresidential.

Powerline's John Hinderaker says "it's over." Well...that's a bit premature.

Chris Matthews' on-air meltdown is pretty funny. To improve, he suggests the President watch MSNBC.

Both flash polls of last nights debate say that Romney crushed Obama.

Obama spokescrunt takes a swipe at Jim Lehrer for not stopping Romney from beating up her boyfriend.

UPDATE, WATCH THIS: Oh, and it's still unlisted at YouTube, but I've got the magic link: the RNC cut a video of Obama's debate performance entitled "Smirk."
