— Open Blogger Dude found this during testing.
The HTML5 Web Storage standard was developed to allow sites to store larger amounts of data (like 5-10 MB) than was previously allowed by cookies (like 4KB). localStorage is awesome because itÂ’s supported in all modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox 3.5+, Safari 4+, IE 8+, etc.).The standard anticipated that sites might abuse this feature and advised that browsers limit the total amount of storage space that each origin could use...
...However, Chrome, Safari, and IE currently do not implement any such “affiliated site” storage limit. Thus, cleverly coded websites, like FillDisk.com, have effectively unlimited storage space on visitor’s computers.

— Ace Come on... Let's cash them out.
Boycott NBC. I mean, really boycott them. I know people are barely watching them now. Let's make that "barely" into "not at all."

— Ace Kids, don't smoke pot and definitely don't try Total Absorption, as your current president did. It leads to mental degeneration later in life.
Obama mixed up very famous sci-fi properties, saying he couldn't use a "Jedi mind-meld" to convince evil Republicans to jack up taxes.
I didn't think this was actually funny.
I was wrong.

Dana's got a bunch more. I only thieved the two from her.
Unrelated, but the Free Beacon thinks a recap of the week's news would be more interesting if illustrated with a gifs of Kate Upton playing with her massive cans.

Connecticut state Rep. Ernest Hewett (D) made an inappropriate remark to a 17 year old girl testifying about a program that helped her overcome her shyness and get over her fear of snakes, the New London Day reports.

Rep. Ernest Hewett (D)
"I think I'm going to kill myself."
Where does this girl now go to overcome her fear of men in positions of government power?

— Ace Also note the question that prompted Obama's "I'm not a dictator" remark -- the question asked if Obama couldn't just lock Republicans in a room and make them agree, not if Obama himself could attempt to compromise or attempt (imagine this) leadership.

— Open Blogger The rules are simple: identify the food and if applicable, the cooking technique. First correct answer receives a one year Double-Platinum AOSHQ membership with the optional ampersand utility. Second correct answer gets a set of steak knives. Third correct answer gets fired.

— DrewM We're not immune to the effects of sequestration here at the HQ....Ben wasn't able to do his normal link dump so here's an open thread. Feel free to share you sequestration horror stories here. If the dead have risen, the North Korean have invaded or there's just general mayhem in your neighborhood because some day soon the federal government will have $85 billion less to spend, we want to know about it.
But keep in mind the real victims of our bloated federal government....federal employees.
No one would mistake Mantua, a leafy section of Fairfax County where houses sell in the $700,000 range, for a factory town, but where Jenny Foo lives, almost everyoneÂ’s paycheck comes from the same place.Foo, who spent her career at the State Department, lives across from someone who worked at the Food and Drug Administration and another who had a career in the U.S. Geological Survey and just up from a couple of military families. Around the corner, thereÂ’s a National Park Service historian, a Pentagon analyst and a Foreign Service diplomat.
In Mantua, 14 miles west of the Federal Triangle, the sledgehammer of budget cuts scheduled to hit today are a threat to financial stability, an unnecessary reminder of a political system that seems unable to solve problems, and, perhaps worst of all, a symbol of how dramatically perceptions of government work have shifted.
Clearly we need to hold a concert for emergency relief and get Sally Struthers working on a commercial.

Question for conservatives: Why Are Your Children Still In Public School? I'm sure time and money are big reasons. Private schools aren't exactly cheap and home schooling requires time to do it. Work eats up most of my time and I haven't won the lottery yet so I picked a very good school district and monitor my kids education closely. Maybe when we set up AoS HQ compounds, we'll set up a proper education system but until then, one has to play the cards their dealt.

— Gabriel Malor Happy Friday.
In light of the Woodward drama, Mike Riggs over at Reason recalls some of the Obama Administration's more ham-fisted attempts to pressure reporters for purposes of image management.
Christian Heinze has a characteristically insightful post on the GOP 2016 field. Read it and weep.
Sec. Napolitano says the sudden pre-sequestration release of aliens from ICE detention facilities took her as much by surprise as it did everyone else. This tendency to genuinely plead ignorance, by the way, is one of the true scandals of the Obama Administration.
The Obama folks have normalized a style of management wherein political appointees give vague directives and then get to plead ignorance when those vague policies are translated into dangerous and idiotic decisions by safely anonymous underlings. Of course Sec. Napolitano has no idea what's going on in her own detention facilities; she doesn't want to know. That's the scandal. Of course AG Holder didn't know his subordinates were selling guns to Mexican cartels; he didn't want to know. That's the scandal. Of course Sec. Clinton had no idea her own diplomats were begging for help because of Benghazi's security nightmare; she didn't want to know. That's the scandal.
Illinois GOP party chairman Pat Brady came out in in favor of gay marriage. And now gay marriage opponents want to oust him. This is a guy that got the IL GOP out of debt. He's raised $8 million for the party in a blue state. He's cut IL GOP administrative costs by 70% while upgrading their data center. Oh, and he did it all as a volunteer. But, please, let's get rid of effective Republicans for holding the same position on marriage as the last Republican vice president; that's a smart move.
And for a bit of Friday fun, here's Men's Health's latest list: "20 Habits That Make You Fat." Looks like I'll be saying "Adios" to my fat friends.
